A new gerbera cultivar 'Sunny Lemon' was released by the National Institute of Horticultural and Herbal Science (NIHHS) in 2009. A cross was made between 'Pavlov' and 'Patrick' with pink and semi-double in 2006. After investigation of the characteristics for four years (from 2006 to 2009), it was selected for the use of cut flower. 'Sunny Lemon' is a vigorous cultivar with yellow flower color (RHS Y9C), brown center and semi-double. The average flower diameter is 11.0 cm. And inner ray floret and disc diameter are 7.63 cm and 2.59 cm, respectively. Days to first blooming are 84.5, approximately 2 weeks earlier than the standard cultivar. It produces a large yield with continuous supply of cut flowers and has adequate peduncle height. We believe that 'Sunny Lemon' has a great potential for expanding cultivated area of domestic gerbera cultivars and increasing farmers' income.

A new spray rose cultivar 'Morning Shine' was bred from the cross between light pink spray cultivar 'Charming' and white spray cultivar 'Princess' at the National Horticulture Research Institute. The cross was made in 2000 and 'Morning Shine' was finally selected in 2006 after investigating characteristics for three years from 2003 to 2006. 'Morning Shine', a light yellow spray cultivar grows vigorously and has high productivity. The major characteristics of this cultivar are $159.7 stems/m^2/year$ in yield, 74.3 cm in length of cut flower, 7.2 cm in flower diameter, 35.6 in petal number, and 13.0 days in vase life. This cultivar can be propagated by both cutting and grafting. The consumer's preference of this cultivar is relatively higher than that of control cultivar, 'Sunny Lady'.

A new standard rose cultivar 'Pink Bell' was bred from a cross between pink standard cultivar 'Sweet Pink' and pink standard cultivar '"Pink Pearl' at the National Institute of Horticultural & Herbal Science. A cross was made in 2003 and 'Pink Bell' was finally selected in 2008 after investigating its characteristics for three years from 2006 to 2008 (UPOV standards). 'Pink Bell', a pink color standard cultivar grows vigorously and has a high yield. The major characteristics of this cultivar are $162stems/m^2/year$ in yield, 69.8 cm in length of cut flower, 10.4 cm in flower diameter, 44.5 in petal number per stem, and 12.0 days in vase life. This cultivar can be propagated by both cutting and grafting. The consumer's preference of this cultivar was relatively higher than that of control cultivar, 'Nobless'.

'Dayu', a perilla (Perilla frutescens (L.) Britton) cultivar for edible seed was developed by Department of Functional Crop, NICS, RDA in 2004. It was developed from a cross between a pedigree of Daeyeop as a female and YCPL1846 as a male parent in 1994. 'Dayu' could be characterized by white flower color and brown grain color. Dayu shows 127 cm in plant height, and has lodging tolerance. Maturing date of 'Dayu' was October 6, which was similar with that of 'Saeyeopsil'. This new cultivar has high oil content with 48.5% and high linolenic acid in the fatty acid composition. The grain yield potential of 'Dayu' is about 1.44 MT/ha in the regional yield trial.

A cross was made between 'Himalaya' with white and semi-double and 'Vital' with pastel cream and single in 2006. After investigation of the characteristics for four years (from 2006 to 2009), it was selected specially for the use of cut flower. 'Noble Pink' is a vigorous cultivar with pastel pink flower color (RHS R48B), brilliant green disc floret and semi-double. The average flower diameter is 11.8 cm, large flower. And inner ray floret and disc diameter are 4.77 cm and 2.17 cm, respectively. It produces a large yield with continuous supply of cut flowers and has adequate peduncle height. We believe that 'Noble Pink' has a great potential for expanding cultivated area of domestic gerbera cultivars and increasing farmers-income.

The cross was made in 1999 and 'Honey Lemon' was finally selected in 2003 after investigating characteristics for three years from 2001 to 2003. 'Honey Lemon', a white standard cultivar grows vigorously and has good flower shape. The major characteristics of this cultivar are $248.0stems/m^2/year$ in yield, 53.0 cm in length of cut flower, 8.0 cm in flower diameter, 17.0 in petal number, and 16.9 days in vase life. This cultivar can be propagated by both cutting and grafting. The consumer's preference of this cultivar is relatively higher than that of control cv., 'Tineke'. (Registration number: 1151).

The cross was made in 1998 and 'White Day'was finally selected in 2002 after investigating its characteristics for three years from 2000 to 2002 (UPOV standards). 'White Day', a white standard cultivar grows vigorously and has good flower shape. The major characteristics of this cultivar are 106.3 stems/$m^2$/year in yield, 68.6 cm in length of cut flower, 14.3 cm in flower diameter, 93.5 in petal number per stem, and 13.4 days in vase life. This cultivar can be propagated by both cutting and grafting. The consumer's preference of this cultivar is relatively higher than that of control cultivar, 'Tineke'.

A new spray chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflorum) cultivar "Green Witch" was developed from a cross between 'S04161' and 'S04109' by selection of seedlings and lines at the Flower Research Institute, Gyeongnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services (ARES) from 2004 to 2008. Its characteristics were investigated three times from 2006 to 2008 under condition of forcing culture in spring and retarding culture in autumn. The natural flowering time of "Green Witch" was October 19th, and year-round production was possible by day length treatment. Its capitulum was 3.2cm in diameter, and had 15.9 head per stem in autumn. Its ray floret was green central zone. To flower in the short day condition, for "Green Witch" was about 44 days in spring, and "Green Witch" showed the vase life of 25.3 days in autumn. This cultivar was registered for a commercialization in 2008.

'Morningpurple' is a new sweetpotato variety developed by Mokpo Experiment Station, National Institute of Crop Science (NICS), RDA in 2007, for flowering. This variety was selected from the cross between Sinchunmi and Hi-dry in 2004, seedling and line selections were practiced from 2005 to 2006. 'Morningpurple' has morning glory type flowers with purple color. It has triangular leaf, green with purple vine and petiole, elliptic storage root, red skin and yellow flesh color of storage root. The average yield of storage root was 15.0 ton/ha. Number of storage roots over 50 gram per plant was 2.6, and the average weight of storage root was 143 gram.
