is a 1968 western novel by Charles Portis. The novel was adapted for screenplay of the 1969 movie of the same name directed by Henry Hathaway. In 2010, Coen brothers directs, writes, and produces the second adaptation of Portis's novel writing most of the script. Of nineteen films directed by Coen brothers, only and are adapted from novel. (released as in Korea), is the only remake of an existing film by Coen brothers. The story plot of the novel or the 1969 or 2010 do not differ greatly, however by emphasizing on different subjects, the character development is slightly altered and in the end, all three are perceived as unique. By comparing what each story is trying to emphasis, examining different cinematic devices, and how it relates to previous worldviews of modern America seen through Coen brothers, portrays a dark society continuously consuming and while illustrating origin of problematic American society.

This paper is about a case study of two brother talents who have a similar genetic factor The researcher who worked as a teacher of the Institute of Talent Education where the two brothers attended for 3 years analyzed and compared the influential variables through the interview of both the students and their parents. Parents have invested to the elder brother showing geniuses so they disciplined him suppressively out of too much expectation. However, they allowed his brother, who showed talents later, more automaticity, supporting him when he himself wanted to study. As a result, the younger brother showed a more creative thinking ability, and a better school performance This paper is significant in that parents's positive disciplining attitude maximize children's genius.

This study explores experiences of male siblings without disability who are caring for their adult siblings with intellectual disability. To this end, in-depth interviews were conducted based on phenomenological qualitative research methods, and documents such as newspaper articles and broadcasting documentaries covering the care of participants were also used as materials. Data collection took place from August to October, 2017, and four brothers without disability participated in this study. Findings are presented as five themes: a sibling with a disability-centered life, living with complex emotions including emotional ambivalence, cautious life at all times, life to receive consolation, and life trying to achieve balance and harmony. Based on the results, political and practical considerations for brothers without disability and their families who support their adult siblings with intellectual disability are discussed. Implications for social workers are suggested.

Purpose : Vesicoureteral reflux(VUR) is known to be the main cause of childhood hypertension and renal failure. Knowing its familial occurrence, we determined the incidence of VUR and renal scar in asymptomatic siblings of Korean patients with primary VUR Methods : A total of 50 siblings from 37 index patients were included. Voiding cystourethro-graphy(VCUG) and renal scintigraphy using $^{99m}Tc-DMSA$ were peformed in these siblings from June, 1994 to May, 2001, Index patients were classified into two groups according to the presence of VUR in their siblings, and the clinical factors of the index patients such as age, sex, grade of reflux and renal cortical defect were compared between the groups. Results : Among the 50 siblings, VUR were found in 8(16%) and renal cortical defects were detected in 8(16%) siblings respectively. The incidence of renal cortical defects was 87.5%(7 out of 8) in the VUR(+) siblings. There was a case of VUR(-) cortical defect in one sibling, presumed as a scar from an old VUR. There was no relationship among age, sex, grade of reflux and renal cortical defect of the index patient to the presence of VUR in siblings. Conclusion : This study confirmed a significant incidence of VUR(16%) and renal cortical defects(16%) in the asymptomatic siblings of patients with primary VUR in Korea. It Is resonable to recommend screening studies to the siblings of patients with VUR for the early detection and prevention of probable reflux nephropathy. For complex diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, it is believed that model-free methods might work better because they do not require a precise knowledge of the mode of inheritance controlling the disease trait. This is done by estimating the sharing probabilities that a pair shares zero, one, or two alleles identical by descent(IBD) and has some specific branches of test procedure, i.e., the mean test, the proportion test, and the minmax test. Among them, the minmax test is known to be more robust than others regardless of genetic mode of inheritance in current use. In this study, we compared the power of the methods which are based on minmax test and considering weighting schemes for sib-pairs to analyze sibship data. In simulation result, we found that the method based on Suarez' was more powerful than any others without respect to marker allele frequency, genetic mode of inheritance, sibship size. Also, The power of both Suarez- and Hodge-based methods was higher when marker allele frequency and sibship size were higher, and this result was remarkable in dominant mode of inheritance especially.

Objectives：This study was designed to compare the emotional/behavioral characteristics between the siblings of children with autism and normally developing children. Methods：The subjects were 34 children between 10 and 16 years of age, 17 siblings of children with autism, 17 siblings of nonhandicapped children. Both groups performed CDI(Kovacs' Children Depression Inventory), RCMAS(Revised Chidren's Manifest Anxiety Scale), SPPC(Self-Perception Profile for Children), Self-esteem scale. Their mothers performed K-CBCL(Korean -Child Behavior Checklist). The results of those test were analysed by Student's-test. Results：Both social competence and total social competence subsclae scores were significantly lower in sibling group of children with autism than in control group. However, each group was not significantly different on the scores of internalizing symptom, externalizing symptom subscale of CBCL, CDI, RCMAS, Self-Perception Profile and Self-esteem scale. Conclusion : Siblings of children with autism had a lower social competence than normal control group. Group comparisons indicated that siblings of children with autism and normal children did not differ on any self-report measures such as anxiety, depression, self-concept and self-esteem. Further research using more subjects will be needed.
