대한민국 한옥공모전이 지난 11월 1일 수상작을 발표했다. 준공 부문 대상은 '정다운 집(설계 어번디테일건축사사무소의 최지희, 텐틀러 다니엘)'이 받았다. 이 작품은 여백이 느껴지는 한옥 고유의 공간이 잘 구현됐으며 완성도가 높아 현대 주거문화에서 한옥이 추구하는 방향성에 대한 시사점이 큰 작품이라는 평가를 받았다. 금상은 '천일 한의원(설계 류와 건축사사무소 류종미, 강성원, 김소희)과 '화림원(설계 건축사사무소 하오 김세원, 이홍원, 김계원)'이 수상했다. 준공 부문에서 수상자인 최지희, 류종미, 김세원 건축사의 이야기를 들어봤다.

Jeollanamdo aims to cultivate Hanok Village as a lodging resource for tourism industry in rural areas. For the purpose, it invited eight models of the Hanok Village publicly and selected our model as the best. This study is to introduce the concepts and characteristics of the village, centering on the model developed by our research team and awarded by the local government. We develop and suggest eleven types of improved-type Hanok model that is to be distributed to each city and county. We compose the space which reflects needs of residents for modern living. And we focus on preservation of decorative beauty to make it a resource of tourism by creating beautiful view of Hanok and reduction of financial burden to activate its distribution. The Hanok developed in this study has a significant meaning as improved Hanok that can be suggested as a new model of rural area housing project.

With increasing interest in living in hanoks, there's a growing need for more quantitative data on the thermal comfort performance of modern hanoks. With that in mind, this research project studied a modern hanok located in Jamjeong-Haetsal Village in Hwasun, Jeollanam Province as a case study to evaluate the Predicted Mean Vote (PMV) of modernized hanoks. Based on environmental data collected at the hanok and computer simulation both Life-Cycle PMV (L.C.PMV) and Normal PMV (N.PMV) were calculated for the hanok. Study results showed that during the summer and winter seasons the PMV and heat index at major heat and major cold weather points significantly deviated from the comfort zone. The rate of change in PMV was also greater in the winter than in the summer. The study found that the modern hanok lacks proper thermal insulation for maintaining thermal comfort.

Since the recent Hanok boom in Korea, Contemporary Hanok has been evolving in terms of structure, space, form, etc. To get a comprehensive understanding of the diversified Contemporary Hanok, this paper aims at its type classification by analyzing architects' designs since 2000. The criteria for the classification are two: (1) renovation [Re] or new construction [New]; and (2) degree of Contemporary Hanok's deviation from the traditional Hanok's standard - maintaining the traditional form [Main]; changing space within the traditional form [Space]; changing the traditional frame [Frame]; and juxtaposing the traditional and the modern [Combi]. From the two criteria, this paper deduced eight types of Contemporary Hanok, named respectively: Re-Main, New-Main, Re-Space, New-Space, Re-Frame, New-Frame, Re-Combi, and New-Combi, and studied their cases. It can be argued that various aspects of Contemporary Hanok and their critical meanings were well-investigated through this type classification and case-studies.

Traditional Hanok in modern society, depending on the improvement of economic and cultural level is evolving as a modern Hanok. An ideal of traditional Hanok and convenience of a modern housing does not match rather conflicting. This study deals the transformation of a new Hanok, which are build in Jeollanam-do province sponsored by local government from 2007. The subjects was selected 34 cases from Sunchon and Damyang which are build sponsored by Jeollanam-do local government from 2009 to 2011. The report is a design drawing of a Hanok, architectural survey of the Hanok research using questionnaires and interviews with the client or a resident, was confirmed by a visit to check and verify for each Hanok houses. Outside shape classification of Hanok were classified as straight, L type, and the interior space was analyzed by focusing on the living room, dining room, kitchen configuration consisting of housing space in public life. This study and the type of Hanok round out the framework from the perspective of residence' demands and realize new Hanok investigated and the evolution of the process is meaningful to find a Hanok.

Hanok is Korea's traditional housing, which is build detached unit. Most of the People who live in the environment of residential high-rise apartments likes new residential environment, and pursue eco-friendly homes, health homes, especially traditional Hanok was reassure potential. In urban context, resident think more compact land use in Hanok also, because Hanok is dissatified in compact land use, and it should be build as more economic aspect. The purpose of this study is to propose a typology which traditional Hanok also can be build higher land use and traditional values as a modern housing type; First of all, clustered Hanok is formed by traditional houses and interior spaces in modern house., and its types are configured by lifestyle of modern and image element of traditional Hanok. This kinds of clustering Hanok can be seen from historical city, but the trends is a minority of the housing type and form. Now, the modern clustering Hanok, even though handful of cases, appears as sustainable housing type, its possibilities as a new housing should be more detailed researches. A elements of Modern cluster Hanok discused in layout, plan, envelopment of house, structure, roofs, and the coordination of the element can be so much diverse.

To analyze the total cost of ownership in a building construction project, we have to consider initial plan, maintenance and operation cost, in addition to the design and construction cost. This is called "Life Cycle Cost (LCC)." Currently, it is difficult to analyze LCC because of a lack of data and the appropriate criteria. This study tries to suggest a way to analyze the LCC of building construction projects, and apply it to case studies of modern apartment houses and Han-Ok, a type of traditional Korean house. The case studies found that a Han-Ok is more efficient than a modern apartment house from an LCC point of view, in terms of maintenance and operation cost.

As the Korean government initiates the Han-style campaign, the efforts and expectations for the modernization and industrialization of Hanok are growing. Accordingly, a major R&D project sponsored by the government is in progress for the development of related technologies, in which the development of a Hanok design support system based on Building Information Modeling(BIM) technology is included as one of the major subjects. However, the development of design tools for Hanok so far has not focused on the windows and doors, which is another major element of Korean traditional architecture. Therefore, this study developed a BIM-based design tool for Hanok windows and doors as an approach to the integrated design of various Hanok elements and their applications to modern buildings. To this end, the characteristics of Hanok windows and doors were analyzed first in terms of the location, opening method, style, components, and the over-all construction. A design tool was then developed with the parametric modeling functions of the $ArchiCAD^{(R)}$system. The applicability and efficiency of the developed tool were verified with design simulations. This is expected to contribute to not only the application of Hanok windows and doors to modern buildings but also to the further development of an integrated Hanok design system.
