The Effects of the Relational Benefits of Hairdressing Business on Customer Commitment (헤어미용업의 관계효익이 고객몰입에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to investigate the difference in customer commitment according to the demographic characteristics of hair salon customers and the relational benefits of hairdressing business that affect customer commitment. The questionnaire for empirical research was collected from customers of hair salon in Gyeongnam, and the analysis results are as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the difference in customer commitment according to the demographic characteristics of hair salon customers, customer commitment was statistically high in the group of college graduates or higher and the group of men. Second, as a result of analyzing the causal relationship between relational benefits and customer commitment, it was found that customization benefits, social benefits, and psychological benefits of relational benefits had a statistical effect on customer commitment. In particular, it was found that psychological benefits had the strongest effect on customer commitment.

  • 본 연구는 미용업 분야를 헤어, 네일, 피부, 메이크업으로 나누어 사고재해 실태와 사용 제품에 대한 안전 인식도를 비교하기 위하여 수행되었다. 그 결과 근무하는 사업장의 작업 시 발생하는 유해요인으로는 분진, 근골격계, 화학물질 함유 제품의 유기용제 순으로 높게 나타났으며, 지난 1년 동안의 사고 및 재해는 26.3%가 경험한 것으로 파악되었다. 사고나 재해의 종류로는 베임, 인대 늘어남, 하지정맥류 등의 근골격계 이상이 가장 많았다. 미용업에서 사용되고 있는 제품의 화학물질 함유에 대한 인지도는 77.2%, 중금속 함유에 대하여 인지도는 59.1%로 나타났으며, 미용업 관련 제품의 표시사항(성분, 주의사항 등)에 대한 확인 여부는 '중요한 내용만 확인'한다는 응답이 가장 많았다. 화학물질에 대한 물질안전보건자료(MSDS)의 인지여부는 88.8%가 알지 못하는 것으로 나타났으며, 물질안전보건자료(MSDS)에 대한 인식도 및 사업장의 비치 여부가 낮은 것으로 파악되었다. 안전교육의 필요성은 73.6%로 높게 나타나 안전 교육에 대한 대책 마련이 요구되었다. 본 연구는 미용업 전반에 대한 사고재해 실태 및 안전의식에 관한 포괄적인 연구가 수행되어 미용업 근로자의 안전의식 고취와 정책적 안전관리 방안, 근로자 건강관리의 기초 자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.

The Moderating Effects of the Individual Characteristics in Relationships between the Hairdressing Business Workers' Organizational Communications on Job Satisfaction (헤어미용업 종사자의 조직커뮤니케이션과 직무만족의 관계에서 개인특성의 조절효과)

  • This study attempted to determine the effects of organizational communication on job satisfaction as organizational performance for beauty salon employees as related to their personal characteristics. For empirical analysis, a questionnaire survey was conducted among beauty salon employees in Gyeongsangnam-do, and the collected data were analyzed. The results found the following: First, organizational communication had an effect on job satisfaction. In fact, compared to other factors, communication ability revealed the greatest influence on job satisfaction. In particular, the effect of organizational communication on job satisfaction was high in the following groups: 'age 40 or older', 'high school graduates or younger' and 'married'. The study results show that human resource management that comprehensively considers personal characteristics as well as organizational communication is essential in improving business performances by increasing employees' job satisfaction in the hairdressing industry.

A Comparison of the Social Perception of Hairdressers (헤어미용사에 대한 사회적 인식 비교)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare the perceptions of hairdressers, hairdressers-to-be, and ordinary people on hairdressers. For this, 286 hairdressers, hairdressers-to-be, and ordinary people residing in Daegu and Gyeongbuk were surveyed and analyzed. The study results are as follows: First, the job preferred by hairdressers is running their own salon. Most of those involved in the beauty industry considered that anyone who has an aesthetic sense can become a hairdresser, the average education level is college, and 5-10 years of experience would be adequate. On the other hand, the majority of the ordinary people thought different. Second, most of the hairdressers thought that professional theoretical knowledge and skills are required for hairdressers and that they have the role of leading beauty. On the other hand, the majority of the hairdressers-to-be and ordinary people considered that what it takes to become hairdressers are design sense and creativity and that they should take the responsibility of cleanliness and service. Meanwhile, all the research subjects shared common ideas that the competence required for hairdressers is skills and female hairdressers are preferred. Third, the most common cause for hairdressers to move from a workplace to another was wage-related issues, and the most answered entry-level salary was between KRW 1 million and 1.5 million and average working hours a day 9-10 hours. Fourth, the research subject groups showed significant differences in their perception of the occupation of hairdresser. The results suggest that although the social perception of hairdressers is improving, ordinary people still need to change their perception.

  • The purposes of this study were to seek beauty industry parts' current social insurance admission status. To achieve the purposes, questionnaire was distributed to a total of 470 beauty artists and data were analyzed by statistical analysis. The result of study proposed that hairdresser showed the highest awareness and field of nail art showed the lowest awareness in social insurance admission status. Social insurance admission status shows that beauty artists in hair field had the most applicants of national pension, health insurance, workers' compensation insurance and beauty artists of skin field had the highest desire for social insurance application. This study hopes to be used as base line data of social insurance applicants' accurate status and application.

Hair Up-styling Techniques by Wedding Dress Image (웨딩드레스 이미지에 따른 헤어 업스타일 연구)

  • This study investigated up-styling techniques as related to wedding dress image. To find up-styles that fit well with a wedding dress, a questionnaire survey was conducted targeting hairdressers in the beauty industry, and new styles were created and suggested based on the survey results. For this, hair was slicked back without parting and combed upward. Then, using braiding techniques needed to produce a top point, styles were created to create attractive images. For up-styles that go with an elegant wedding dress, hair was parted in a ratio of 3 : 7. In addition, a roll technique was applied based on natural points by keeping the ears half-covered to create elegance. For up-styles that are perfect for a classic wedding dress, hair was parted in a ratio of 2 : 8, keeping the ears half-covered. Based on the back point, a twisting technique was applied to create classic images. It is anticipated that the study results would provide basic data needed for creating and understanding up-styles that go with various wedding dress images and make a contribution to their development.

Research on the Relationship between the Service Quality and Customer Loyalty of the Hair Beauty Industry for the Silver Generation : With a Focus on Relationship Quality (실버세대 헤어 미용업의 서비스품질과 고객충성도에 대한 관계성 연구: 관계품질을 중심으로)

  • The silver generation in our aging society will rapidly emergeas a new consumer group and the service industry used by silver customers will develop going forward. The beauty service sector is one of the most needed ones for the qualitative improvement of life for the silver generation. In this research, ananalysis was conducted on 244 persons of the silver generation living in Seoul, in order to examine the factors affecting the quality of the beauty service for the silver generation and their relationships with customer loyalty. For the statistical treatment of the empirical analysis, the SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 statistical programs were used. The results of the analysis showed that the service quality perceived by the silver customers who used the beauty service had significant effects on trust and flow, which are the relationship qualities, and that trust and flow had positive effects on customer loyalty. Also, it was found that, in the relationship between service quality and customer loyalty, trust had mediating effects on reliability, responsiveness, empathy, and assurance, and that flow had mediating effects on reliability, responsiveness, empathy, assurance, and tangibility. The results of this research are significant in that they present the basic data enabling the beauty industry to play an important role for the silver generation, under the present circumstances in which the beauty service industry has minimal educational programs exclusively available for the silver generation.
