Prediction to Shock Absorption Energy of an Aluminum Honeycomb (알루미늄 허니콤의 충격 에너지 흡수 특성 예측)

  • The purpose of this paper is to predict the shock absorbing characteristics of the aluminum honeycomb in a lunar lander. Aluminum honeycomb has been used for shock absorbers of lunar lander due to its characteristics such as light weight, high energy absorption efficiency and applicability under severe space environments. Crush strength of the honeycomb should have strength to endure during shock energy absorbing process. In this paper, the crush strength, which depends on the shape of honeycomb and impact velocity, is estimated using FEM. Ls-dyna is used for finite element analysis of the honeycomb shock absorber. The unit cells of the honeycomb shape are modeled and used for the finite element analysis. Energy absorption characteristics are decided considering several conditions such as impact velocity, foil thickness and branch angle of the honeycomb.

The Prediction of Elastic Behavior of the Nano-Sized Honeycombs Based on the Continuum Theory (연속체 이론을 기반으로 한 나노 허니콤 구조물의 탄성 거동 예측)

  • The nano-size hoenycomb structures have the higher ratio of the surface to the volume than macro-size honeycomb structures, and they can maximize the functionality of the electrical and chemical catalyst. The mechanical behaviors of the nano-sized structures are different from ones of the macro-size structure, and it is caused by the surface effect. This surface effect can be investigated by the atomistic simulation; however, the prediction of mechanical behaviors of the nano-sized honeycombs are practically impossible due to excessive computational resources and computation time. In this paper, by combining the bridging method considering the surface stress elasticity model with homogenization method, the mechanical behaviors of the nano-sized honeycombs are predicted efficiently.

  • This study compares and analyzes the users' perspectives based on Sign Design, focusing on Lotte World and Ever-Land, which are representative theme parks, There is a purpose. Consider various design elements of sign design. And how they affect the user experience. First, theoretical backgrounds of theme park and sign design were examined through literature review, and the elements of sign design were compared and analyzed. Secondly, the questionnaire was reconstructed based on Peter Morville's Honeycomb Model. As a result, it was necessary to improve the accessibility and location of sign design. Based on this study, I hope that it will be used as a reference material to improve the user experience according to sign design in the future.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest areas for improvement of KakaoTalk. KakaoTalk is used by everyone in Korea, and even elementary school students have been using it a lot recently. Therefore, to help parents feel safe about their children using KakaoTalk, and to ensure that children are not worried about their parents when using them, I would like to examine each user's experience to pinpoint the problem. As a method of study, a survey and interview was conducted on eight parents and eight children using KakaoTalk. Through this, the parents could not trust KakaoTalk in terms of reliability when they saw their children using KakaoTalk. Based on this research, we hope to improve KakaoTalk through further research so that parents and children can use Kakao Talk safely.

  • This study critically analyzed the user experience (UX) of mobile applications, focusing on the advertising platforms of mobile applications for culture and arts content. This study aims to examine the direction for growth of the related mobile applications and propose alternative approaches to improve usability. In this study, a mobile app named 'Moviepre' was selected, and a heuristic evaluation was performed for in-depth exploration. For the selected case, the UX Honeycomb model was reconstructed to analyze useful, usable, desirable, findable, accessible, and credible elements of the case. First, since the users' preference for the price factor did not show a significant correlation with the usefulness of the content and the interface, it is necessary to make sure that the mobile application has unique values to gain a competitive advantage in the market. Second, by adopting customer path stages for analysis, the result indicated that users continuously interact with the service from the first moment they are aware of the mobile application. Third, if the user feels uncomfortable, it is likely that these factors hinder the establishment of a long-term relationship between the users and the mobile application. Finally, brand identity should be clearly established, and brand image strategy needs to be developed to satisfy users' expectations that high-quality culture and arts content will be available through the mobile application.

  • Lately the increase of unemployment and freeters, the use of mobile applications for part-time jobs has been increasing. This study identifies the problems of mobile job applications and focuses on domestic applications: 'Albamon' and 'Albachunkuk'. By conducting surveys and in-depth interviews based on Peter Morville's Honeycomb model. The usability assessment, the proposed improvement results are as follows: First, unhealthy establishments and overlapping job blocking filters should be further strengthened. Second, a design to tailor to the 20s age group, who are the main user of the application, is needed. Third, a fully customized part-time job listing is needed for users on the application landing page. Fourth, the application requires verification procedures for the document preparation regarding work contracts and reporting of employers. This study hopes to add to the improvement of job-seeking application services in Korea.

  • This research aims to evaluate how each generation experiences easy payment services. Recently, the easy payment service business has been on an upward trajectory and pin-tech companies have introduced various types of products. In this regard, it becomes crucial to understand differences among generations in terms of using those services due to their accessibility and serviceability. Based on the statistical analysis of surveys and in-depth interviews based on Peter Morville's Honeycomb model, this study suggests four ways to improve this payment service. The analysis indicates that those who are older tend to use easy payment services provided by their credit card companies or services which they frequently have already used. Findings of this analysis are expected to find the relationship between ages and payment applications.

Prediction Model of the Sound Transmission Loss of Honeycomb Panels for Railway Vehicles (철도차량용 허니콤재의 차음성능 예측모델)

  • Sound transmission characteristics are investigated on the honeycomb panels used for railway vehicles. Equivalent orthotropic plate model and equivalent mass law are applied to predict the sound transmission loss (STL) of the honeycomb panels. The predicted values of the STL are compared with the measured values. The reliability and the limitation of the prediction models are investigated. Coincidence effect and local resonance effect on STL are considered. The result of the study shows that the equivalent orthotropic plate model can be used as a good prediction model, if the local resonance frequency is properly applied. finally, ways to improve the severe STL drop by local resonance are proposed and the effect on the sound insulation performance is analysed.

A Study on the User Experience of the Mobile Application of Cultural Contents in Seoul (서울시 문화콘텐츠 모바일 애플리케이션 사용자 경험 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose an efficient user experience of integrated applications by comparing and analyzing the usability of existing cultural content applications in Seoul. The study method was based on seven components of the honeycom model to conduct an interview and analyze for user experience measurements of existing applications. The results of the study summarized them in three ways. First, we need to organize a wide variety of information into categories in an easy-to-understand way. Second, making it easy to purchase tickets within the application. Finally, it is necessary to recommend cultural content that is suitable for me. This research is expected to be used as a basis for the user experience of the Seoul City Cultural Content Integration application.

  • The purpose of this study is to derive the differentiation and improvement measures of Kakao T through a usability evaluation centered on the service. In-depth interviews were conducted by first identifying the status of the mobility O2O service and reconfiguring the usability principles of the Honeycomb model, focusing on the functions and interfaces. First, there are problems driven from the imbalance in supply and demand as a mobility service, but it is likely to be improved through the addition of future features, carpooling. Second, problems were elicited for not recognizing the need for incorporated functions of Kakao T in the presence of existing functional-specific applications. Improvements derived based on this study are expected to help increase the convenience of users of mobility O2O services.
