Development of Diagram Learning System for e-Learning (e-Learning을 위한 도형학습 시스템 개발)

  • Moving figures and piling up some boxes are newly the introduced studying contents in the 7th curriculum of mathematics and it will be able to form the sense of space of the students. Against the studying contents for the sense of space formation, the teachers of site speak instruction is very difficult and the student's scores are low. Elementary school mathematics studying which inclusive of figure studying is the most effective when they operate the actual object. But in the school site, the instruction with actual object is very difficult because many reasons. And web based studying data system which is for forming the sense of space the students is not abundant because it started initially. From this dissertation, studying contents will be taken out and web base figure studying system will be designed and embodied. The interaction will be active in the system. Student will be able to understand the principle by the medium of the animation from the system and they can improve their sense of space by the interesting game.

초등 영재교육에 적용 가능한 이산수학 프로그램 개발 연구

  • 본고에서는 영재교육에서 실제 학습자료의 부족과 이산수학의 중요성이 부각되고 있는 최근의 동향을 감안하여, 초등학교 영재교육에 적용 가능한 이산수학 프로그램을 개발하고자 한다. 우선 프로그램의 개발에 선행하여 관련 이론에 대한 고찰을 하였으며 제 7차 초등학교 수학과 교육과정의 이산수학 관련 내용을 분석하석 교육과정의 내용을 심화 ${\cdot}$ 발전할 수 있는 방안에 초점을 두었다. 특히 이산수학과 관련된 기존의 수학학습 프로그램들은 대부분 순수 수학적 이론을 제시하고 그에 따른 문제를 풀어보는 형식으로 구성되어 있는데, 본고에서는 이산수학의 이론을 중심으로, 문제해결에서 알고리즘적으로 사고하는 능력을 키울 수 있도록 하는 것에 초점을 두어 프로그램을 개발하고자 한다. 즉, 프로그램 자체가 하나의 수학적 원리를 탐구해 가는 과정이 되는 것이다. 또한 이산수학이 수학적 문제해결 학습과 연관됨에 착안하여 프로그램은 Polya의 문제해결학습을 바탕으로 구성하고자 한다.

  • 개체명 인식은 질의응답(QA), 정보 주줄(IE), 텍스트 마이닝 시스템의 성능 향상에 중요한 역할을 담당한다. 이 논문에서는 교사학습 기반의 한국어 개체명 인식에 대해 설명한다. 한국어에서 많은 개체명들이 하나 이상의 단어로 구성되어 있으며, 개체명을 구성하는 단어 사이에는 의존 관계가 존재하고, 개체명과 개체명 주위의 단어 사이에도 문맥적 의존관계를 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 가변길이의 개체명과 주변 문맥의 학습을 위해 트라이그램을 이용한 HMM을 사용하였으며, 자료 부족 문제를 해소하기 위해 어휘 기반이 아닌 부개체 유형 기반의 학습을 수행하였다. 학습된 개체명 인식 시스템을 이용하여 경제 분야의 신문 기사에 대한 실험 결과, 84.4%의 정확률과 90.9%의 재현률을 보였다.

Perception on Career Barriers among Cyber University Students: Focusing on Demographic Characteristics (사이버대학생의 진로장벽 지각 -배경변인별 차이를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze differences of perceived career barriers based on demographic characteristics of cyber university students. The results of this study will provide a valuable basis for guiding adult learners in their career development. Subjects included 937 adult learners at cyber universities in Seoul, Korea, aged 20 and above. Results were as follows: The level of career barriers perceived by females aged 20-29 who were unemployed and single were higher than that of males aged 30 to 59 who were employed and married. Female students were higher in 'anxiety of future', 'lack of interest', 'lack of job information', 'interpersonal difficulty'. The only component in which subjects aged 50-59 perceived higher than other age groups was 'conflict with important people'. There was no significant differences by grade. These results imply that the perception of the career barriers of adult learners should be considered in customizing career development programs and career counselling.

A Survey of Librarians' Awareness and Demand for Librarian Learning Communities (사서학습공동체에 관한 사서의 인식 및 수요조사)

  • This study investigated librarians' awareness of and demand for the librarian learning community in order to successfully introduce and operate the librarian learning community. For this purpose, an online survey was conducted targeting current librarians and a total of 474 responses were collected. The main analysis results are as follows. Firstly, librarians showed a very low awareness of the librarian learning community, while they highly evaluated the purpose and significance of such a community. Secondly, the motivations for librarians to participate in the librarian learning community were primarily focused on professional growth, solidarity with colleagues, and satisfaction of intellectual curiosity, in that order. Thirdly, the ultimate values of the librarian learning community were identified as improving library services, enhancing professionalism, fostering collaborative group exploration, sharing values and visions. Fourthly, the success factors of the librarian-learning community were ranked as follows: member voluntarism, a culture of collaboration among members, dedicated time (once a week), and a supportive environment (budget, space, etc.). On the other hand, the failure factors were identified as a lack of time due to heavy workloads, lack of member voluntarism, indifference from superiors, and insufficient support environment (budget, space, etc.). Finally, the willingness to participate is also very high. Furthermore, it was observed that there is a wide range of interests in various topics among librarians. The results of this study are expected to be useful as basic data for determining practical operation methods or selecting topics when operating a librarian learning community in the future.

The Construction Principle and the Content Selection of the Regional Learning in the Secondary School (중등학교 지역학습의 구성원리와 내용 선정)

  • For all the region is the basic unit of geographical learning and the grounds of human activities, regional learning can't possible be carried out at the class. Because there are very few regional learning materials that are applicable to class and can be expanded to geographical basic concept. This paper aims to regulate the construction principles of regional learning and select the contents of regional learning. Firstly, the six basic concepts of geographical education be made a selection of the construction principles of regional learning: human-environment, location, region, interaction, change, scale. And then, I suggest the upper five subject that be based on the results of systematical geography. Those are the necessity and method of regional apprehension, the physical environment and the regional human-life, the resource and industrial activities. the regional life-space's formation and change, and the changing world and region. And I propose the subdivided the mid and the lower subject that be reflected the learner's need and the social demand, and could be experienced the results of geography and the everyday life. For the best regional learning, these subjects can be combined one or more in various scale.

  • According to developments in info-communication, the recent educational paradigm asks not for a passive transmitter but an active constructor who can solve a variety of complicated problems in real situations. Such a change asks for an educational setting which includes sharing ideas and information rather than simply possessing them. Learning through presentation has many problems including few presentation opportunities as well as the reuse of presentation data. This study suggests such strategies as promoting interactions through presentations and the practical use of these strategies in class. For this, the role of the presentation data provider and learner, and strategies to implement the step by step learning support system have been suggested. Using presentations, as described in this study, allow for communication with students outside the original class time and location. The degree of learning students experience through presentations is expected to be high.

Analyzing the changes of elementary pre-service teacher's noticing occurred in the process of participating in the actual class and learning community (실제 수업 및 학습공동체 참여 과정에서 나타난 초등 예비교사의 주목하기 변화 분석)

  • The purpose of this case study is to get an implication on elementary pre-service teacher education programs by exploring how a pre-service teacher's noticing changes within a learning community. The pre-service teacher participated in a learning community with researchers. Data includes recordings and transcription of actual class and pre- and post discussion in the learning community, the pre-service teacher's reflection essays, field notes, and students' worksheets. Results are as follows. First, the pre-service teacher's attending moved from the result of tasks to students' mathematical thinking. Second, the pre-service teacher's interpretation changed from a lack of diversity and specificity of evidence to diversity and specificity. Third, the pre-service teacher's decision-makings changed from unproductive deciding to productive deciding.

Analysis on contents and types of Web-based Multimeida Learning Materials for Environmental Education (웹 기반 멀티미디어 환경 교육 교수·학습 자료의 내용 및 유형 분석)

  • We analyzed learning materials from web sites of the Ministry of Environments, the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs and Korea Energy Management Corporation to help people to develop and utilize web-based multimedia teaching materials. The contents of web-based multimedia teaching materials for environmental educations were generally concentrated in 304 cases of natural environments (22.1%), 250 cases of environmental contaminations (16.5%) and 187 cases of environmental preservation plans (12.4%). It did not significantly deviate from traditional teaching-learning contents being conducted focusing on environmental pollutions of the past. The types of web-based multimedia teaching materials for environmental educations were 934 cases of teaching plans (61.8%), 156 cases of documentaries (10.3%) and 128 cases of e-text information (8.5%). The web-based multimedia teaching materials by school-levels showed that there were 796 for primary schools (35.3%), 588 for middle schools (26.1%) and 320 for high schools (14.2%). It also showed that environmental education with similar contents were provided even in advanced schools. Therefore, it is believed that there needs development of various types of teaching materials while the fields of environmental education contents are covered with connectivity according to school-levels.

Predicting the amount of water shortage during dry seasons using deep neural network with data from RCP scenarios (RCP 시나리오와 다층신경망 모형을 활용한 가뭄시 물부족량 예측)

  • The drought resulting from insufficient rainfall compared to the amount in an ordinary year can significantly impact a broad area at the same time. Another feature of this disaster is hard to recognize its onset and disappearance. Therefore, a reliable and fast way of predicting both the suffering area and the amount of water shortage from the upcoming drought is a key issue to develop a countermeasure of the disaster. However, the available drought scenarios are about 50 events that have been observed in the past. Due to the limited number of events, it is difficult to predict the water shortage in a case where the pattern of a natural disaster is different from the one in the past. To overcome the limitation, in this study, we applied the four RCP climate change scenarios to the water balance model and the annual amount of water shortage from 360 drought events was estimated. In the following chapter, the deep neural network model was trained with the SPEI values from the RCP scenarios and the amount of water shortage as the input and output, respectively. The trained model in each sub-basin enables us to easily and reliably predict the water shortage with the SPEI values in the past and the predicted meteorological conditions in the upcoming season. It can be helpful for decision-makers to respond to future droughts before their onset.
