In this study we explain the necessity of a developing management system of academical achievement in a progrm running the accredited engineering program as an observation and management tool to assure students' succesive achievement of program outcomes, and also present an operation result of the constructed management system. Taking the electronic engineering program in our school as an object, we constructed a relating database to monitor the students' course work completions and achievement of program outcomes, to allow students to build their plans for course work and to enable professors to proceed customized counseling for assigned students. The constructed system also provide various statistics relating program outcomes to allow program professors to proceed effective management of outcomes in the program level. In this paper we show that it is possible to calculate and provide the various statistical indicators, which is needed to effectively run accredited engineering programs, by presenting the results relating successful construction of the system and its operation.

University library evaluations have previously put emphasis on how many collections a library has, what kinds of services it offers, and how satisfied its users are with the services. But these evaluations are not enough to show how much impact university libraries have on their stakeholders and how they can contribute to the mission and purpose of the parent organization. This study is a starting point of discussion for the impact and value measurement of university libraries. The aim is to identify a university library's impact in terms of various stakeholders and accordingly determine its measuring element. The impact of a university library on students can be measured by the students' study, success and accomplishments. The impact on professors can be measured through the success of their teaching and research productivity. Finally, the impact on a university can be realized by understanding how a library affects university's reputation and success.

Visual representations play an important role for students to understand the meaning of a given problem, devise problem-solving approaches, and implement them successfully. The purpose of this study was to investigate how 6th graders would use visual representations in solving mathematical problems and in what ways such use might affect successful problem solving. The results showed that many students preferred numerical expressions to visual representations. However, students who used visual representations, specifically schematic representations, performed better than those who employed numerical representations. Given this, this paper includes instructional implications to nurture students' use of visual representations in a way to increase their problem solving ability.

In this paper, we propose a analyses the big data of students who are willing to find employment and thus presents strategy for their higher success rate of employment. The experiment covered in this paper is based on female two-year community college students who are yet unsure about their future employment. The primary flaw of pervious employment strategy was job opportunity was only based on simple factors such as student's grade, appearance, and personality due to employers and firms's demand. Therefore, students were less satisfied and often resign. In order to prevent these failures, this paper plans a strategy by analyzing the big data. Furthermore, this is proven by the comparison between 2014 employment statistics and those of previous years, and employment request has been 21.3 percent increased along with 81.4 percent increase in match rate between firms and graduating students. Most importantly, the final success rate of employment presented 63.1 percent increase compared to the previous year.

This paper proposes a method to derive the time points for helpful intervention based on conclusions drawn from a previous study which collected data during barista training performed by students with developmental disabilities. To identify this intervention time, this study utilized distance information between the hand of a student and each barista tool in a virtual reality space. If the cumulative distance from a student's hand to the key barista tool is relatively longer than the cumulative distance to other barista tools, it is highly likely that the student is not using the key barista tool, which must be used to successfully complete the given task. In other words, the distance information signals the task is not being properly performed and represents the intervention time to help the student. As a result of verifying a hypothesis through statistical analysis, this study found that the relationship between the success or failure of a student's training and the cumulative distance between the student's right hand and the key barista tool was statistically significant, but not for the left hand.

The purpose of this study is to suggest Reciprocal Peer Tutoring(RPT) for mathematics underachieving students as one way of the instructional strategies to supplement their lack of mathematics learning and to provide them with successful experiences in learning mathematics. We defined underachieving student in mathematics as the student whose mathematics achievement was high or middle level in the middle school but became lower in high school. Four mathematics underachievers voluntarily participated in this study. We examined the effects and roles of RPT by focusing on their positive change in the affective domain. RPT was conducted for about three months, including pre-training, pretest, and posttest. As the results of this research, RPT has generally made positive changes in the affective domain of underachieving mathematics students. Although four students did not show the same pattern of change and the sub-elements of positive change were different for each student, RPT provided opportunities for 4 all students to experience positive change.

미래 청년기업가들의 우수한 창업아이템과 기술이 한자리에 모인 국내 최대 창업행사‘2004 대한민국창업대전’이 12월 3일부터 사흘 동안 서울무역전시장에서 열렸다. ‘새로운 도전, 성공의 첫걸음(Challenge, Beyond Success)’이라는 슬로건으로 열린 행사에는 중소기업청 김성진 청장과 협회 장흥순 회장, 한국여성벤처협회 이영남 회장 등 유관 기관장들이 대거 참석했으며, 행사 기간 동안 4만 여명의 관람객이 행사장을 찾았다. 중소기업청이 주최하고 벤처기업협회가 주관한 이번 행사에서 학생부 69팀, 일반부 50팀 등 총 119개 팀이 참가하여 창업아이템의 열띤 경합을 벌였다. 또 1:1 맞춤상담, 기술거래장터 및 기술발표회 등의 부대행사와 창업성공을 기원하는 대굿, 패션쇼 등 다채로운 행사가 열렸다. 김성진 청장은“무한경쟁시대는 기술발전을 끊임없이 요구하고 있어 창업활성화는 미래를 위해 중요한 요소”라며“우리 경제의 희망이자 내일인 창업에 매진하고 있는 모든 이들의 성공을 기원한다”고 말했다. 중소기업청은 앞으로 창업대전이 명실상부한 종합창업행사로 자리매김 할 수 있도록 행사규모를 지속적으로 확대시키고, 포상훈격 격상 및 입상자들에 대한 종합적인 사업화 연계지원 등을 강화해나갈 계획이다.

우리나라 특성화고는 산업사회의 각 분야에서 종사할 유능한 인재를 양성하고 합리적이며 능률적인 직업인을 육성하려는 목표로 1998년에 도입되었다. 2010년에는 독일, 스위스, 오스트리아 등에서 자리 잡은 마이스터고 제도를 도입하여 변화를 시도하였다. 유럽에서의 마이스터고는 창업 성공률이 98%에 이를 정도로 창업의지가 높은 학생들로 구성되었다. 우리나라 또한 특성화고 학생들의 창업의지를 높이기 위해서 정부와 민간 기관에서 다양한 시도를 하였다. 창업진흥원의 기업가 마인드 확산 교육 비즈쿨(2002년), 한국시민자원봉사회의 특성화고 대상 창업 마인드 확산 경진대회 Be the CEO(2004년), 아산나눔재단과 어썸스쿨의 앙트러프러너십 교육 히어로스쿨(2014년) 등이 사례이다. 본 저자도 2011년부터 중소벤처기업부와 SK가 공동으로 주최하는 고교생 앱 개발경진대회를 직접 운영하면서 특성화고 학생들의 창업의지를 높이기 위한 방안에 대해 오랫동안 고민하였다. 본 연구에서는 특성화고 학생들의 앙트러프러너십이 창업의지에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 앙트러프러너십의 구성요소는 Miller(1983)가 주장한 위험감수성, 혁신성, 진취성에 기회인지를 추가하였다. 또한, 특성화고 학생들이 학교 교육과 다양한 외부활동을 통하여 접하고 있는 창업멘토링이 앙트러프러너십 구성요소와 창업의지간에 조절효과가 있는지 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위해 전국 491개(2017년 말) 특성화고등학교 중 지역별로 안배하여 14개 학교 학생들을 대상으로 설문을 시행하였으며, 설문서 287부를 실증분석에 활용하였다. 연구분석 결과 특성화고 학생의 기회인지, 위험감수성, 혁신성, 진취성은 모두 창업의지에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 한편 기회인지, 위험감수성 등 앙트러프러너십 요소와 창업의지 관계에서 창업멘토링의 조절효과는 진취성에만 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 창업멘토링의 조절효과가 진취성에만 국한된 것은 특성화고는 창업보다는 취업 중심의 정책을 운영 중이어서 앙트러프러너십은 높으나 창업의지가 희박한 학생이 많았고, 기존의 창업멘토링 내용이 학생들의 창업의지를 높이는데 실제적인 도움이 되지 못하였으며, 창업을 가로막는 제도 때문에 멘토링 만으로는 창업의지를 높이는데 한계가 존재하였다. 본 연구의 결과가 우리나라 특성화고 학생들의 창업의지를 높이는 방안에 대한 연구를 촉발하는데 조그만 보탬이 되기를 바란다. 또한, 창업의지가 높은 특성화고 학생들이 창업을 실행할 수 있는 환경이 구축되고, 특성화고가 취업중심의 정책에서 창업친화적인 정책으로 개선하는 데 촉매제가 되기를 바란다.
