This paper aims to show the role of mathematics in the age of disciplinary convergence. Classifying disciplinary convergence into three levels by its degree, I claim that mathematics can contribute to disciplinary convergence in three aspects: theoretical, linguistical, and spiritual. Then I assert that there is a corresponding relationship between three levels of convergence and three contributing aspects.

본 연구의 목적은 다양한 지식을 습득 및 응용하는 데 한계가 있으며, 급격한 사회의 변화를 수용할 수 없는 기존의 분과학문체제의 문제를 해결하기 위해 미래핵심 성장동력인 로봇을 활용하여 학문융합교육 프로그램을 설계하는데 있다. 이를 통해 초 중등정보통신기술교육(ICT)운영지침의 폐지로 학교에서 사양화 되는 컴퓨터교육의 중요성을 부각시키고, 창의성과 융합을 강조하는 2009년 개정교육과정의 창의적 체험활동에서 자연스럽게 활용되기 위함이다. 이에 교육용 로봇인 피코 크리켓을 활용한 학문융합교육 프로그램 교수 학습 모형의 설계를 통해 다양한 영역 및 교과에 적용하는 기초가 되고자 한다.

This study attempted to propose a theoretical model for STEAM education, entitled to the Ewha-STEAM education model, which could provide more concrete guidelines for science educators and curriculum developers to execute STEAM ideas. We identified key knowledge and key competencies to nurture future creative/convergent human resources. Key knowledge included an understanding of core ideas cutting across traditional disciplinary boundaries as well as the nature of different disciplines. And additionally, key competencies implied such abilities as to explore the scientific world, to resolve problems, and to communicate and collaborate with others. We also added creativity and character as an essential part of key competencies. In order to provide more specific guidelines when developing, implementing, and evaluating STEAM curriculum, we suggested three elements of convergence to consider: 1) unit of convergence (i.e. concept/skills, problem/phenomenon, activity), 2) degree of convergence (i.e. multi-disciplinary, inter-disciplinary, extra-disciplinary), and 3) context of convergence (i.e. personal, societal, global). It is expected that the Ewha-STEAM education model would contribute towards diverse education communities understanding the direction of STEAM education and its educational potentials.

The main objective of this study is twofold. The first is to investigate the main currents of Korean commercial arbitration. The second is to investigate the research methodology of Korean commercial arbitration in the perspective of disciplinary fusion perspective. The main findings of Korean commercial arbitration are as follows: first, the incidence of commercial arbitration increased in the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board during the period of 2006-2010, second, the primary causes of trade claims are disputes related with payment and those related with sales contracts, third and finally, the number of countries seeking to resolve disputes through arbitration has increased, including European countries. In this setting, it is necessary to investigate commercial arbitration through the inter-disciplinary perspectives. This study suggests that there are five research methodologies of commercial arbitration. They are legal theory related methodology, institutional methodology, cultural methodology, causal methodology and empirical methodology. Traditionally, the legal profession leads the field of commercial arbitration. However, it is necessary to introduce other elements to the field of commercial arbitration. This study highlights the disciplinary fusion approach among five research methodologies of commercial arbitration.

The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of university students's innovativeness on adoption intention of academic convergence. For this objectives, the Structural Equation Model(SEM) was designed and analysed by using Lisrel. This study developed a research model, based upon TAM, to analyse the factors: personal innovativeness, social expectation, perceived usefulness and adoption intention of academic convergence. The main results are follows as: first, personal innovativeness showed a significant positive direct effect on adoption intention of academic convergence, and indirect effect through perceived usefulness on it. Second, through perceived usefulness, there was indirect effect between social expectation and adoption intention of academic convergence. The SEM in this study showed the statistical significance, which the model fit was χ²=22.638(df=29, p=.793). Based upon the result of analyses, the study suggested to develop the subject and non-subject educational program through which students experience innovativeness and usefulness for academic convergence. Especially, the change of the role and the task of the curriculum of liberal arts was.

The game engineering is a fusion study that combines exquisite variety of fusion science and engineering. We presents the relationship between multi-disciplinary fusion and game development with the game developer's perspective when developing games. Humanities and sociological knowledge and experience with the developers has significant os impacts to refine the ideas on the game. This paper would present the process of the game design, story making based on the planned operation and the communication as between the team members for efficient operation through the process of creating the actual game, it will show the final version of the game. At the same time, it will research for the relationship between a number of studies for each process.

The purpose of this study is to introduce the programs implemented by Baekseok University in order to activate Christian studies, and to look for ways of developing the programs. To do this, programs such as the Faith and Learning seminars and the Christian studies small groups were introduced, and discussed limitations and suggestions to improve it. The suggestions are as follows. First, participants are expanded from full-time professors to lecturers. Second, the present way of simply completing the seminar should be changed to evaluate the results of the Christian studies. Third, the Christian studies small groups are to be expanded to wider group of professors. In addition, to spread the culture of Christian studies, Baekseok University should provide support for each stage of the growth of Christian studies. This study will be presented as a model to Christian universities in Korea and abroad, which is in pursuit to maintain the identity of Christian college through the activation of Christian studies.

최근 학문간 융합을 통한 STEAM 융합인재교육에 관한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. STEAM 교육은 과학, 기술, 공학, 예술 그리고 수학의 학문 영역을 유기적으로 융합하여 차세대 학습자들이 미래 사회에 필요한 핵심역량을 높일 수 있도록 하는 교육방식이다. 국가적인 차원에서 창의적인 융합인재를 위한 미래형 과학기술 교육을 중요하게 여기고 있으며, 과학기술 교육 패러다임에 변화를 기대하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 융합형 인재양성을 위한 집단지성 기반의 STEAM 교육 방안을 연구하고, 학습자의 과학기술에 대한 흥미와 이해를 높이고 융합적 사고와 문제해결 능력을 배양하기 위한 지능로봇 교육과정을 제시한다. 또한 집단 학습자들 간의 교육 적용 사례를 소개하고, 학습자의 만족도 분석을 통하여 검증하였다. 향후 본 연구의 결과로 집단 학습자의 학습 성취도를 향상시키고, 융합형 과학기술 인재양성 교육방안으로 발전하기를 기대한다.

This study analyzes the past and present of service science research as a central discipline that will lead a new economy and society, and presents a guide for future research. In the 21st century, service research has developed into a new discipline that is different from the existing service studies. Service science is a discipline that collectively refers to all research related to services. This study analyzes this development process and suggests the direction of future service science research. First, we analyze the research before the birth of service science, an early model of service studies. And the early research on the birth of service science is analyzed. Through this process, the service science framework that expanded and developed the initial service science is analyzed. We introduce each field of service science, which is a new innovation of the existing academic system from a modern perspective, and analyzes the structure of the service philosophy that is the basis of independent academic fields. And we suggest the future direction of service science research. The direction of paradigm innovation research of existing individual disciplines is presented first. As an example, innovation from existing business administration to service business administration is introduced. We also suggest a new economic and social system research direction that requires the convergence of multiple academic fields. Finally, we present a direction for multidimensional, broad-based convergence research. We suggest that the future of service science can be the process of reverting back to integration and convergence, centered on humans and the world, of the disciplines that have continued to diverge in the history. We present a model in which all disciplines are reintegrated into service science as the Eastern and Western spirits converge.
