This study aimed to examine the relationship between students' power types and the roles taken by students in school bullying situation. Four types of power relationship were identified by crossing two dimensions of power relationships among students, which are 'possibility of power acquisition,' and 'need for power acquision.' Salmivalli et al.'s(1996) six particpatants' roles taken by individual student were employed as possible roles for students in school bullying situations. Samples of 1822 cases were analyzed to test the relationships. Results showed that control type youth tend to be bullies, assistants of the bullies, or reinforcers of the bullies; both the followers of bullies and the recluse type youth tend to be victims. Surprisingly influential youth did not take any vivid roles in school bullying situations. Implications as well as suggestions were presented.

The purpose of this study is to provide a basis for determining when a school established long term school plans accepted by analyzing the trend of increase or decrease elementary school students 30 years to target of following nine cities, 607 elementary schools in Korea - 4 metropolitan cities(Incheon, Seongnam, Su-won and Anyang), 2 central regional cities (Daejeon and Cheongju) and 3 southern regional cities(Busan, Yangsan and Kimhae) for this purpose. Results of this study are as follows: First, there were overwhelming numbers of type5 among15 types of increase / decrease in the number of students. Second, in comparison with the type of increase / decrease of the number of students by region, the metropolitan area is ranked as type5>type13>type10>type8, in the middle region type5>type11>type10>type13 and in southern region type5>type10>type11>type13>type2. Therefore, there were regional differences in the number of students. Third, the results of the Conflict Model I and Conflict Model II showed that Type1 and Type7 were not needed to be adopted.

The results of a survey on 113 elementary schools in Jeju-do in December 2018 are as follows: First, the most newly established schools in the last 30 years were long-term decline Type 3 (56 schools), followed by Type 9 (W-type, 24 schools), which was more than 30 years old. Second, one of the main achievements of this study is the discovery of four types (type 1, type 2, type 8 and new-type) that are well characterized by Jeju province. Third, the most smaller school has 50 schools (44.3%) and small schools (less than 300 students) are 77 schools, accounting for 68.1% of the total ; 6 the most largest elementary schools (5.3%), 13 large schools (11.5%), 17 optimal sized schools (15.0%), 27 small schools (23.9%). In particular, it is not an exaggeration to say that almost all schools are small schools except for a few schools in Jejudo Ub-Myun areas. This means that it may cause serious problems if it is adopted as a standard of abolition of small schools in the same standard of management rather than reflecting regional characteristics of Jejudo province.

The results of research and analysis are as follows: First, there were 108 types of change patterns in the number of elementary school students. Second, based on the similarity of 108 types of change patterns in the number of students, a type system diagram was presented. Third, in the case of a total of 18 types of change patterns in the number of students, the number of students decreased significantly due to the establishment of additional schools on top of the existing schools. The result of a a long-term survey and analysis on the trend of increase and decrease in the number of students across the country shows an urgent need todevelop policy tasks across the entire school accommodation plan, such as the establishment of differentiated schools suitable for regional characteristics, relocation, consolidation, reorganization of school districts, remodeling, and appropriatization projects.
This study intends to provide basic evidence needed to establish plans to help disabled children and youth adapt to school by analyzing factors to influence on their school adjustment. To accomplish this goal, raw data of Survey of Disabled People in 2014 conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare was utilized for analysis to identify determining factors among level of school, type of school, type of disability, severity of disability, subjective health status, experience of discrimination on disabled children's school adjustment. Results of the analysis are as follows. Level of school, type of school and severity of disability are influencing factors on disabled children's school adjustment. This result shows that the introduction of peer support programs and expansion of special class and auxiliary personnel are needed to assist disabled students' school adjustment.
This study was to explore the relationship between the smartphone use, school violence attitudes, bullying situation of adolescents in era of convergence. The participants were 341 middle school students from two school in G city. smartphone use, school violence attitudes, bullying situation and general characteristics of adolescents were measured. The data were collected from July 2 to 25, 2014. The collected data were analyzed through t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients and multiple regression analysis. The result showed smartphone use was positively correlated with school violence attitudes(r=.269, p<.000) and Bullies(r=.251, p<.000). The finding indicate that smatrphone use has an influence on school violence. Intervening approach to prevent and reduce bullying according to each types were required. Based on the research results, this study suggests policy implications for middle school students' smartphone use and school violence attitudes, bullying situation.
School absenteeism, one of the early warning signs of behavioral problems, has been known to be a complex and heterogeneous problem. However, much of the research assumes that school absentee adolescents comprise a homogeneous group. This study explored the heterogeneity of school absentee adolescents, based on school adaptation, to provide a more nuanced understanding of school absenteeism and examined predictive and risk factors associated with each typology of school absentee adolescents. Latent profile analysis was conducted using sample 477 middle school students who were reported absent in the previous year from the 3rd wave of Korean Children and Youth Panel Study. Multinomial logistic regression and ANOVA was also employed to examine the effects of predictive variables. As a result, three profiles were identified: low, middle, and high adaptive group. Group membership was found to be associated deferentially with gender, mental health, parenting neglect, delinquent friends, and delinquent behaviors. These findings propose more specific and targeted interventions designed to meet the needs and risk factors associated with the different typologies of school absentee adolescents.

This is a study on types and current status of school library in japan that are open to public. it aims to increase library access and further improvement of accessible information environment by opening the libraries within schools. In case of Japan, libraries' importance to school education enacted world's first School library act by 1953 and installation rate of school libraries is achieved up to 100%. These libraries opened to its local community is in the process of increasing library usage and now in total of 11.6% of lower, middle, and upper school are already opened to their local community. Considering decreasing usage of facilities in schools, teacher vacant time, expanding libraries, and other various alternatives should be considered together. It will lead to equal access to information environment and lifelong education. The study suggests ways of installing school libraries in appropriate sizes and forms within their local societies. It also propose possible ways to open school libraries to perform their own functions.

The domestic and foreign standards of school libraries suggest that school library should be run to give useful and pleasant experiences to students. This study applies Csikszentmihalyi's 'flow theory' to analyze the relationships between students' flow experience and their satisfaction about school libraries use. The variables selected in this study are students' satisfaction, flow experience, library skill, challenge of library use, types of library use and students' learning styles. The research model is designed by using these 6 variables in this study. The data are collected from 293 students and analyzed by structural equation modeling. The results of this study are as follows: The entire casual relationships show that library skills influence in types of library use, types of library use affect students' learning styles and students' learning styles influence in satisfaction through flow. To improve students' satisfaction about school library use, this study proposes effective ways related to teacher librarians' role performances to expand students' flow experience and increase their library skills.

Rapid urbanization has led to the decline of local communities in old city centers and the deterioration of school facilities, resulting in an increased need for school complexes. School complexes are currently growing, with various policies being proposed. However, integrating additional facilities into the existing infrastructure in schools can lead to a range of issues. To mitigate these issues, additional traffic flow paths and complex integration strategies are required. This study categorizes school complex projects into various types based on themes and examines the relationships between each type and community revitalization factors. Through this analysis, the study recommends desirable directions for the implementation of elementary school complex projects to revitalize local communities.
