Effects of Depression, Sleep and Self-Esteem on Dementia Preventive Behavior in Rural Elderly People (농촌노인의 우울, 수면, 자아존중감이 치매예방행위에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of depression, sleep, and self-esteem on a dementia preventive behavior in rural elderly people. The participants were 235 elderly people aged 60 or older who lived in J-Gun, J-Do. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 25.0 program. There were significant differences in the dementia preventive behavior according to religion, the level of education, a cohabitation type, an economic level, and dementia education experience. Participants' dementia preventive behavior was positively correlated with self-esteem (r=.52, p<.001) and sleep (r=.31, p<.001). However, it was negatively correlated with depression (r=-.57, p<.001). Factors affecting the dementia preventive behavior were depression, self-esteem, and religion. The explanatory power of variables was 37%. To increase a dementia prevention behavior in rural elderly people, it is necessary to develop dementia prevention programs to reduce depression and improve self-esteem and to create social conditions to facilitate various social participations such as a religious activity.

Effects of Academic Stress, Self-Efficacy and Problem Solving Ability on Subjective Happiness in Nursing College Student (간호대학생의 학업스트레스, 자기효능감, 문제해결능력이 주관적 행복감에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of academic stress, self-efficacy and problem solving ability on subjective happiness of nursing college students. Participants in this study were 348 nursing students from 2 universities in B city. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 22.0 program with real number, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. The mean score for subjective happiness was 41.91±9.53(range: 9 to 63). Subjective happiness negatively correlated with academic stress(r=-.523, p<.001) and positively correlated with self-efficacy(r=.515, p<.001), problem solving ability(r=.466, p<.001). Significant predictors of subjective happiness included academic stress((β=-.351, p<.001), self-esteem(β=.255, p<.001), and problem solving ability(β=.132, p=.049), and the explanation power was 37.2%. Therefore, we need various program development that can enhance self-efficacy, problem solving ability, and academic stress management in order to improve nursing students' subjective happiness.

Effect of Academic Stress, Department Satisfaction and Interpersonal Relationship Satisfaction on Academic Achivement in Female Nursing students (간호여학생의 학업스트레스, 학과만족도, 대인관계 만족도가 학업성취도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of academic stress, department satisfaction, interpersonal relationship satisfaction of academic achievement in female nursing students. Data were collected from 159 female nursing students in B city and analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression using SPSS/WIN 22.0. The degree of academic achievement in female nursing students was 3.74±0.84. There were significant differences in academic achievement with career plan (t=2.672, p=.008), There was negative correlation between academic achievement and academic stress (r=-.371, p<.001), positive correlation between academic achievement and department satisfaction (r=.472, p<.001), interpersonal relationship satisfaction (r=.301, p<.001). The factors affecting academic achievement of the study subjects were academic stress (β=-.262, p<.001), department satisfaction (β=.403, p<.001), with an explanatory power of 26.3%. Through the result of this study, it is necessary to development various program that can improve academic achievement in female nursing students.

The Correlation between Nurse's image, Biomedical ethics and Professionalism in Nursing Students (간호학생의 간호사이미지, 생명윤리의식 및 간호전문직관의 상관관계)

  • This study was done to identify the relationship between nurses's image, biomedical ethics, and professionalism of nursing students. Subjects were 223 nursing students in Korea. Data were collected using self-report questionaires from September 4 to 19, 2014. Data were analyzed by frequency, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation using SPSS Win 20 program. Nurse's image was significantly correlation with biomedical ethics and professionalism in nursing students. Therefore, to increase nurse's image, biomedical ethics and professionalism of nursing students, it is necessary to develop and test program for improving nurse's image, biomedical ethics and professionalism of nursing students.

Study on Readers about Library and Information Science Fields' Articles by Analyzing Mendeley (Mendeley를 통한 문헌정보학 주요 분야 연구 논문의 독자 분석)

  • With reference management tool based on web, we could understand not only impact about non-author, such as hand-on worker, educator, who are out of academia, but also trace the subject fields of readers and their status. This study by analyzing mendeley, understand what kinds of subject fields and status of readers read library and information science field articles. As a result of analyzing the status and the major of the reader, readers were distributed in the fields of business administration, education and so on, and according to the reader's major, there was a significant difference (p = .000) between the subject area of relatively read a lot. By the way, as the result of relational analysis between citation rate and numbers of mendeley readership about medeley saved articles, correlation coefficient shows 0.585, however as the result of relational analysis limiting the groups, in case of author group who tends to read the articles for citing, correlation coefficient shows 0.619. On the other hand, non-author group shows 0.384.

  • 충주댐 유역의 미계측유역을 대상으로 공간분포를 고려한 저류함수법 기반의 유출자료를 활용하여 지역최대홍수량의 추정 가능성을 평가하였다. 유출자료의 공간확장 가능성을 보기위해 2008년부터 2017년까지의 홍수 사상 중에 8개를 선정하였으며, 적절한 비교와 NSE 검증을 위해 충주댐, 영월1, 영춘 수위관측소를 검정지점으로 지정하였다. 또한, 선정한 사상 8개의 계측유역 유출자료를 바탕으로 공간확장방법을 활용하여 미계측유역의 유출자료를 생성하였다. 생성한 유출자료로 충주댐 유역의 홍수 사상과 지역최대홍수량(QRMF) 사이의 상관관계를 분석하여 지역최대홍수량의 발생 가능성과 충주댐 유역의 K값을 추정하였다. NSE 검증결과 유역출구지점인 충주댐에서 0.53으로 만족하여 유출자료 공간확장방법을 활용한 모의유출자료 산정은 적절한 것으로 나타났으며, 모의유출자료의 특성이 실제 유역의 특성과 유사한 것으로 나타났다. 생성한 유출자료와 지역최대 홍수량($Q_{RMF}$)에 대해 피어슨 상관계수와 RMSE를 활용하여 평가한 결과 서로 매우 높은 상관관계를 나타냈으며(Pearson's r> 0.9), 홍수량 산정방법에 있어서 지역최대홍수량($Q_{RMF}$)를 사용하여 산정하는 것이 바람직한 것으로 나타났다(RMSE=1.94). 또한, 충주댐 유역에 대한 지역최대홍수량($Q_{RMF}$)의 K값은 5.298로 산출되었으며, 산출한 K값으로 전체적인 충주댐 유역의 최대홍수량뿐만 아니라 면적이 비교적 작은 소유역의 최대홍수량도 추정할 수 있었다.

Verifying the Reliability and Validity of the Yonsei Lifestyle Profile for Adolescents (청소년을 위한 연세 라이프스타일 프로파일(Yonsei Lifestyle Profile)의 신뢰도 및 타당도 연구)

  • Objective : This study aimed to assess the applicability of the Yonsei Lifestyle Profile (YLP), initially developed for adults, for adolescents and verify its reliability and validity. Methods : This study evaluated the reliability and validity of the YLP among 436 middle and high school students in South Korea. The internal consistency of this scale was analyzed using Cronbach's alpha and Spearman-Brown's coefficient. Concurrent validity was assessed using Pearson's correlation coefficient with the Korean Youth Physical Activity Questionnaire, the Korean version of the Children and Adolescents Participation Scale, and the Nutrition Quotient for Adolescents. Results : The overall internal consistency of the YLP items demonstrated high reliability, with a Cronbach's α of .811 and Spearman-Brown's coefficient of .779. Significant positive correlations were observed for physical activity (r=.555, p<.01), activity participation (r=.177, p<.01), and dietary habits (r=.633, p<.05), indicating consistent correlations with the related scales. Conclusion : This study analyzed the YLP targeting adolescents and confirmed its high reliability and significant validity in the areas of physical activity, activity participation, and dietary habits. These findings suggest that the YLP can be utilized as a reliable tool for evaluating healthy lifestyles among adolescents.

A Study of Test-Retest Reliability and Interrater Reliability of the Sensory Processing Scale for Children (SPS-C) (아동감각처리척도(Sensory Processing Scale for Children; SPS-C)의 검사-재검사 신뢰도와 검사자간 신뢰도 연구)

  • Objective : This study examined the test-retest reliability and interrater reliability of the Sensory Processing Scale for Children (SPS-C). Method : Senventy primary caregivers of children with sensory processing difficulties and 3 years old participated in the study. The subjects were recruited through child development centers, welfare centers, and acquaintances located in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Busan, and Gyeongsang-do. The test-retest reliability verification targeted 20 main caregivers of children with difficulty in sensory processing. Re-evaluation was performed within 7 to 14 days after the initial evaluation, and Pearson's correlation coefficient was used to confirm the relevance between the two time points, and the Intraclass correlation coefficient was used to confirm the degree of agreement. The interrater reliability verification was conducted with 18 primary caregivers and 18 subsidiary caregivers of children with sensory processing difficulties. Each caregiver evaluated the same child, and the Intraclass correlation coefficient was used to confirm the agreement between the two sets of caregivers. Results : The test-retest reliability was Pearson's correlation coefficient r=.914 and intraclass correlation coefficient ICC=.939, indicating a high level of relevance and agreement. The interrater reliability was an Intraclass correlation coefficient ICC=.727, which showed a moderate level of agreement, but the tactile area (ICC=.455) and proprioceptive area (ICC=.439) were not statistically significant and showed a low degree of agreement. Conclusion : Through this study, it was confirmed that the children's Sensory Processing Scale for Children (SPS-C) is a stable evaluation tool with test-retest reliability and interrater reliability verified, and it will be able to provide help in standardization studies for future clinical use.

Effect of perceived stress, self esteem, major satisfaction on the test anxiety of nursing students (간호대학생의 지각된 스트레스, 자아존중감, 전공만족도가 시험불안에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of perceived stress, self esteem, and major satisfaction on test anxiety in nursing students and to provide the basic data of to control test anxiety. Data were collected from 251 nursing students in B city and analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression using SPSS/WIN 22.0. The degree of test anxiety in nursing students was 2.97±.54. There were significant differences in test anxiety with respect to gender(F=-3.241, p=.001), college life satisfaction(F=5.682, p=.004). There was positive correlation between test anxiety and perceived stress(r=.361, p<.001), negative correlation were found between test anxiety and self esteem(r=-.186, p=.003). The factors affecting the test anxiety of the study subjects were perceived stress(β=.325, p<.001), gender(β=-.150, p=.013), with an explanatory power of 14%. Through this research can be used as basic data by identifying factors affecting test anxiety of nursing students.

Relationship between the perceived Stress and College Life Adjustment in Nursing Students : Interpersonal Relationship Ability (간호대학생의 지각된 스트레스와 대학생활적응의 관계: 대인관계능력의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between perceived stress, college life adjustment, and interpersonal relationship ability in nursing college students and investigate whether or not interpersonal relationship ability mediate the relationship between perceived stress and college life adjustment. Data were collected from 281 nursing students in B city and analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, multiple regression, and sobel test using SPSS/WIN 23.0. The degree of college life adjustment in nursing students was 3.38±0.58. There was negative correlation between college life adjustment and perceived stress(r=-.478, p<.001), positive correlation between college life adaptation and interpersonal relationship ability(r=.617, p<.001). The interpersonal relationship ability had partial mediating(β=.629, p<.001) effect between perceived stress and college life adjustment among nursing students. Therefore, in order to promote college life adjustment of nursing students, and decrease perceived stress, it is necessary to development education and program that to improve interpersonal relationship ability.
