  • The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the factors affecting the binge-watching behaviors of OTT service users by using a multi-layer perceptron (MLP) artificial neural network. All samples (n=1,000) were collected from 'A survey on user awareness in OTT service' published by a Media Research Center of the Korea Press Foundation in 2018. Our research model includes one dependent variable which is binge-watching behaviors on OTT service and five independent variables such as gender, age, frequency of service usage, users' satisfaction with content recommendation algorithm, and content types mainly consumed. Our findings demonstrate that age, frequency of service usage, users' satisfaction with content recommendation algorithms, and certain types of contents (e.g., Korean dramas, Korean films, and foreign dramas) were found to be highly related to binge-watching behavior on OTT services.

  • This study was to examine whether an elderly can health-related quality of life(EQ-5D) by the mediating effect of dental health determinants on the association between health practice behavior and EQ-5D. The analysis was conducted on 1,311 of above the age of 65 in elderly by using raw data from the 2015 National Health and Nutrition Survey. The data were analyzed using SPSS for windows version 24.0 and SPSS PROCESS-macro. The health practice behavior and EQ-5D by living arrangement were the highest in the one-generation family(4.62, 0.90) and the lowest the elderly living alone(4.40, 0.86). Also, analysis using the PROCESS macro indicated that the FS-T index has a mediating effect between health practice behavior and EQ-5D(${\beta}=.0011$, BCCI [.003~.0024]). These findings suggest that FS-T index is closely related to EQ-5D and this will be used as basic data for development of health promotion programs for elderly.

  • Design restructuring improves software quality by reorganizing design elements and reduces maintenance cost. Object-oriented metrics can help to detect design flaws and find transformations to reorganize design elements. Basically, the transformations must preserve the behavior of an initial system. This paper describes a metric based restructuring technique preserving the behavior of object-oriented designs, founded on set theory, and gives its validity by applying the technique to applications written in Java. This paper also compares the technique with a technique using simulated annealing algorithm to show its effectiveness.

Methods : A qualitative descriptive study design was used. Data were collected through individual interviews with thirteen problem drinkers and analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Results : The experiences of the problem drinkers participating in the early intervention program were derived from four themes and nine sub-themes in terms of awareness, alcohol expectancies, perceived self-efficacy and behavioral change. They participated in programs offered in the workplace, and there were differences in motivation level among individuals, but generally accepted the necessity of the program. Participants who had trust with the program provider were more likely to change drinking behavior. Conclusion : Problem drinkers who participated in the early intervention program showed that it is a useful approach to change the problem drinking behavior by promoting awareness of alcohol-related knowledge, motivation for change through acquiring enough information and acquisition of self-efficacy as a behavior skill. These findings can be used as basic information for implementing and adapting early intervention for prevention of alcoholism in primary health care setting including workplace.
