  • The determination of appropriate buffer capacity is an important issue in the design of the advanced manufacturing systems and closely related to the system efficiency and flexibility. Work-in-process is usually not desirable. However, in reality, maintaining some capacity of buffer storage is inevitable in compensation for the machine blocking and break down. The objective of this paper is to present analytical methods and tools for the buffer capacity planning in the Flexible Manufacturing System Environments. The effects when machine blocking is critical factor are also discussed.

Development of the Model for Evaluation of Medical device manufacturer's Quality Management System against international standards and industry environment's change (국제기준 및 산업환경 변화에 대응한 의료기기 제조기업 품질경영 평가모델 개발)

  • This study developed a model to evaluate the quality management system of a medical device manufacturing company, and applied it to medical device manufacturers to understand the impact on business performance in response to international regulations and industry's change. This study prepared preliminary items, defined four (4) major factors (Plan-Do-Check-Act) that consist of the evaluation layers and items per category according to prior research review and expert interview, and calculated the weight and importance using AHP. The study results showed that responsibility & authority and quality objective in Planning Category, product-related requirement and R&D in Doing Category, Measuring and monitoring in Check Category, and review of meeting Regulatory and regulation in Action Category are relatively more important factors. The evaluation model developed based on the calculated weight and importance to business performance was applied to medical device manufacturers to investigate and analyze the implementation level of QMS and its impact on business performance according to each category. Most medical device manufacturers to be studied showed a reasonable level of QMS and effective business performance. Almost all the evaluation layers and items in the four (4) factors had a significant influence on business performance. Although the medical device quality management system is aimed mainly at license acquisition, it is important that management environment factors not related directly to licensing and authorization are important to business performance, and it is effective when these factors are integrated and operated within and outside the manufacturer.

  • 본 연구에서는 침입방지시스템의 기반기술을 조사하고 침입방지시스템의 품질시험 평가를 위한 품질특성을 분석하며 본 연구에서는 기존의 소프트웨어 품질 평가 기술 및 표준화에 관한 관련 연구를 추진하고, 침입방지시스템 보안성 품질 평가 모델을 개발하였다. 또한, 현재 품질 평가 국제 표준화 동향에 있어서도 기존에 소프트웨어 품질 평가를 위해서 지침서로 사용하였던 소프트웨어의 품질 평가 국제 표준화 문서 ISO/IEC9126과 ISO/IEC 14598을 통해서 품질 평가 모델을 개발하였다.

  • 현대의 기업 활동을 위한 시장 상황은 제품에 대한 글로벌 환경규제가 갈수록 강화되어가고 있으며, 기업들은 생존을 위해서는 다양한 환경규제에 능동적으로 대응하며, 기업의 지속적인 성장을 모색해야 하는 것이 현실이다. 본 연구 논문에서는 글로벌 환경 정책의 변화 트랜드를 살펴보고, 글로벌 핵심 환경 규제 및 지침인 RoHS, WEEE, EuP, REACH 및 ISO 14000 환경경영시스템 등 국내기업들이 각종 환경 규제에 대응하기 위해서 구축하고 있는 환경관리 정보시스템들에 대하여 그 종류 및 형태를 살펴보고, 효율적인 환경관리정보시스템(EMIS) 구축을 위한 방안을 도출하였다.

  • Projects to deploy and diffuse smart factories in South Korea are aimed at enhancing national manufacturing competitiveness. However, a significant portion of deployed companies remain at the basic stage and struggle to utilize smart factories regularly. Existing studies have primarily focused on the technical aspects of smart factories, using data analytics and case studies, leading to a gap in empirical research on continuous use and upgrade intentions. This study identifies key factors influencing smart factory usage and user satisfaction, drawing on the Information Systems Success Model (ISSM) and previous research. It empirically examines the impact of these factors on continuous use intention, management performance, and advancement acceptance intention through smart factory usage and user satisfaction. A structural equation model is employed to validate the research hypotheses, using survey data from 287 small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises (SMEs) that have adopted smart factories. Results demonstrate that system quality, information quality, service quality, and government support significantly affect smart factory usage, while service quality and government support influence user satisfaction. Furthermore, smart factory usage and user satisfaction have positive effects on management performance, continuous use intention, and subsequently advancement acceptance intention. This study provides novel insights by demonstrating the specific impact mechanisms of smart factory user satisfaction on the business and the intentions of manufacturing SMEs regarding continuous use and advancement acceptance, leveraging the ISSM.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 가상강좌의 만족을 설명할 수 있는 정보시스템 적 고려와 수업 적 변수가 동시에 고려된 연구모형을 제안하고 이에 대한 실증적 검증을 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 수강생이 지각하는 가상강좌의 품질은 크게 정보기술에 대한 품질과 수강과목에 대한 품질로 나될 수 있다. 수강과목에 대한 품질은 다시 수업 내용에 대한 컨텐츠의 품질과 온라인 및 오프라인에서 제공되는 인적인 서비스 즉, 해당 교수나 조교수의 서비스 품질로 구분될 수 있고, 정보기술에 대한 품질은 정보기술로서의 가상강좌 사용에 관련된 두 가지 믿음인 사용용이성과 유용성에 의해 측정될 수 있다. 한편 가상강좌에서 제공되는 서비스는 정보기술 사용에 대한 자신감과 학업에 대한 자신감과 밀접한 연관을 갖고 있기 때문에 수강생이 지각하는 가상강좌의 품질은 컴퓨터 자기효능 감 및 학업 적 자기효능 감이 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 즉, 컴퓨터 자기효능 감이 사용용이성 및 유용성에 영향을 주며, 학업 적 자기효능 감은 수업만족에 영향을 미칠 수 있다.

The Effects of Information System Quality on Public Information Project Performance: With a Focus on the Mediating Effects by the Users (정보시스템 품질이 공공정보화사업 성과에 미치는 영향: 사용자의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effects of information system quality on business performance (net benefit) in the Korean public informatization business and to verify whether the user has mediating role in the relationship between information system quality and net benefit. In order to prepare empirical tests, factor analyses was conducted and the validity and reliability of the variables were confirmed to be acceptable. The research hypotheses were tested by regression analyses. The mediating effects as well as the main effects were analyzed by SPSS statistical program. The results show that the higher the quality of the information system becomes, the higher the usability by the users of the system increases. Also, it was found that the users had more positive effect on the net benefit of the public informatization project. In addition, it was confirmed that there was a partial mediating effect by the users on the relationship between information system quality and the benefits. The results of the research suggests that we establish a management system to improve the business performance efficiently according to the priorities of detailed success factors from the viewpoint of the public information business, and the users who use the information system quality and system.

  • 품질관리(品質管理)가 단순(單純)히 품질(品質)을 관리(管理)하는 통계적(統計的)인 수법(手法)으로서의 역할(役割)을 벗어나 경영관리(經營管理)의 새로운 시스템으로서 등장되던 1960년 전후부터 품질보증(品質保證)(quality assurance:QA)의 중요성(重要性)이 점차(漸次) 높아지게 되었다. 1959년(年)에 미국(美國)의 자동차업계(自動車業界)에서 시작(始作)된 마일에이지 보증(保證)(mileage warranty)이나, 이어서 보급된 내구소비재(耐久消費財)의 1년 보증제(保證制) 등이 QA의 발달(發達)의 계기(契機)가 되었다. 뿐만 아니라 점점 복잡화 되어가고 있는 제품(製品)에 대(對)한 안전성(安全性)이 강하게 요청(要請)되고 있다거나, 소비자(消費者)의 제품(製品)에 대(對)한 뉴스가 다양화(多樣化)되어 온것도 QA의 용요성(用要性)이 일반(一般)에게 인식(認識)되기 시작(始作)한 요인(要因)이었다고 생각한다. 이때부터 품질보증(品質保證)이라는 말이 널리 사용(使用)되어 왔다. 그러나 그 말을 사용(使用)하는 사람에 따라 뉴안스를 달리하는 경우가 많다. 즉 품질보증(品質保證)이라는 말의 해석(解釋)이 구구하다. 품질보증(品質保證)이란 무엇을 의미(意味)하는가, 그리고 품질보증(品質保證)의 방법(方法)은 어떤 것인가에 대(對)해 부족(不足)하나마 평소(平素)에 가지고 있던 생각을 여기에 정리(整理)해 볼까 한다.

  • The information system for measuring and analyzing service quality of telephone network is designed on the service quality scheme recommended by ITU(International Telecommunication Union) in this study. The information system is composed of the equipments which measure service quality and the systems which analyze the measured data. The schedule algorithm for effectively operating measurement equipments which are located over public switched telephone network is proposed. The functions of the Information system are Introduced. The information system improves the service quality effectively.
