Practical Experimental Design Strategy and Analysis for the Comparison of Two Treatments (두 개의 처리 비교를 위한 실용적인 실험 계획 전략과 분석)

  • We consider practical experimental design strategies and analysis to find out whether a modified method give better results than the standard method. The most practical design strategy is for experimenter to make r successive runs under the current standard method and then, change the standard method to a modified method to make another r successive runs under a modified method. To test a statistically significant difference between the population mean of the standard method and a modified method, additional recent data for sufficient number of consecutive responses under the standard method is needed to construct external reference distribution(Box, et al., 1968). Upon those informations unavailable, the practical design strategy is to run the experiment by split plot designs. In this paper, two types of split plot designs are proposed and how to determine efficiently the number of repetition within a given method and replication of those two methods are discussed based on results of the level of significance ${\alpha}$= 0.05 and the power being at least 0.9 at the detectable difference of ${\mu}_2-{\mu}_1=1.5{\times}{\sigma}$.

  • 하천의 관리 및 활용을 위해서는 하천의 유량, 수심, 유속과 같은 수리량을 측정하고 모니터링하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 이러한 수리량은 측정하는 방법은 직접 측정하는 방법과 구조물을 이용하여 측정하는 방법이 있으며, 직접 측정하는 방법도 지점 유속을 측정하여 도섭법으로 측정하는 방법, 초음파 방식 도플러 유속계를 이용한 횡단 측정방법 및 특정 수심에서 측정한 유속을 이용하여 지표유속법으로 유량을 산정하는 방법 등이 있다. 또한 '수자원의 조사·계획 및 관리에 관한 법률' 제11조제1항에 따르면 수문조사의 방법·기준 및 수문조사 자료의 처리·활용 방법 등은 표준화해야 한다고 명시되어 있다. 정부에서는 WTO의 TBT협정 등 국제규범에 대응하기 위하여 국제표준인 ISO, IEC 등에 부합하는 국가표준운영체계를 유지하기 위하여 여러 분야의 국제 표준에 대한 대응을 수행하고, 국가표준을 관리하고 있다. 그 중 유량측정과 관련된 국가 및 국제 표준은 2018년부터 환경부 국립환경과학원에서 총괄하고, 한국건설기술연구원과 한국수자원공사에서 표준관리를 위한 표준개발협력기관과 국제표준 대응협력을 위한 ISO 국내 간사기관으로 운영되고 있다. 국가표준의 유량분야(TC 113)는 4개의 세부분과위원회(SC)로 구성되어 있고, 하천에서 수행되는 유량, 수심, 유속 측정 및 측정장비의 검정, 강수량 측정기기 등에 대한 39종이 제정되고 관리하고 있다. 한국건설기술연구원에서는 유량분야의 일반사항, 하천에서의 유량측정방법 및 유량측정기기에 관한 표준을 담당하고 있으며, 유량분야의 국제표준의 개발에 관한 과업을 수행하고 있다. 본 발표에서는 한국건설기술연구원에서 관리하는 유량분야 국가표준 및 국제표준의 종류 및 현업에서 수행중인 하천의 유량 측정과 국가표준의 관계에 대하여 설명하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, the performance of uplink WCDMA systems was analyzed using the SGA (Standard Gaussian Approximation) method and the SIGA(Simplified Improved Gaussian Approximation) method adopted for the performance analysis in conventional DS-CDMA systems. The performance of bandlimited WCDMA systems was analyzed using the SGA and SIGA method, and computer simulations were performed in AWGN environments having multiple access interference. It was shown that the performance analysis of uplink bandlimited WCDMA systems using the SIGa method may be very efficient through various computer simulations with verying spreading factors, roll-off factors, and signal-to-noise ratios.

  • LED칩 (발광 피크: 405nm)과 4 종의 형광체 (Blue, Green, OrangeRed, Red)를 이용하여 D65 표준광원r과 유사한 발광 스펙트럼을 가지는 광원을 제작하였다. 실험계획법을 활용하여 형광체간에 교호작용과 농도 변화에 따른 스펙트럼의 형상 변화 경향을 파악할 수 있었으며, 이들 결과를 실험계획법에 의해 최적화함으로서 D65 표준광원과 유사한 스펙트럼을 가지는 광원을 제작할 수 있었다.

Comparison of an Automated Technique TEMPO with Direct Plate Count Method for the Enumeration of Staphylococcus aureus (황색포도상구균의 TEMPO STA와 표준 평판 배지를 이용한 정량분석법 비교)

  • In this study the automated technique TEMPO STA method, a new automated enumeration based on MPN method, was compared to the direct plate count method by testing various ready-to-eat compound food products. Artificially inoculated food samples with Staphylococcus aureus - Bibimbap, Bibimnaengmyeon, Mulnaengmyeon, Kimmaki, Salad, Japchae, and Sushi- were tested. Statistical analysis of the results showed above 99% in agreement between the two enumeration methods. Also, we monitored 466 various ready-to-eat compound food products samples. The measure uncertainties of the two methods is also familiar, while TEMPO STA automated method is simpler, less time-consuming, more effective and more stable.

A Comparative Study between Korean Standard Eye Test and Test Chart 2000 Pro (Test Chart 2000 Pro와 한국 표준 검안법의 일치도 비교 연구)

  • Purpose: We investigated validity of a monitor-based computer eye test program, Test Chart 2000 Pro (developed by Thomson Software Solutions, UK). Methods: We chose ten common eye tests of the Test Chart 2000 Pro and Korean Standard Eye Test, applying them to same subject groups each by each, followed by comparison and analyses of agreement degree of the results. Results: Among the ten eye tests, Snellen Chart, Cross-cyl target, Duochrome test, Fan and Block test, and Random dot stereograms showed statistically significant agreement between both the Korean standard eye test method and Test Chart 2000 Pro. On the other hand, some disagreements were found between the two eye test methods in LogMAR Chart, Single Letter Chart, Phoria Test, Fixation Disparity Test, and Worth 4 Dot Test. Conclusions: Comparing to the Korean Standard Eye Test that consists of Han eye chart and Phoroptor, validity of the Test Chart 2000 Pro is not so high. Further improvements of the Test Chart 2000 Pro in accuracy are required.

표준원전 모의 열수력 종합실험장치의 개념설계 및 저온관 소형냉각재상실사고 예비해석

  • 한국원자력연구소에서는 원자력중장기연구의 일환으로 한국형 표준원전을 모의하는 종합열수력실증실험을 계획하고 있으며, 현재 실험장치에 대한 척도해석(Scaling Analysis), 예비해석(Scoping Analysis) 및 개념설계를 수행하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 영광 3/4호기를 대상으로 척도해석을 통하여 실험장치를 개념설계하고, 저온관 6인치 소형냉각재 상실사고에 대하여 예비해석을 수행한 결과를 보여준다. 개념설계된 실험장치는 높이비가 참조원자로와 동일하고, 체적비가 1/200이다. 실험장치의 개념설계는 이상유동에 대한 3단계 척도법을 적용하였으며, 개념설계의 타당성을 입증하기 위해 RELAP5/MOD3.1 코드를 사용하여 정상상태 및 저온관 6인치 소형냉각재 상실사고시 계통의 거동을 예비 계산하였다. 실험장치에 대한 예비해석결과 사고 거동이 참조원자로와 잘 일치하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 수평관 및 주냉각재펌프의 척도기준이 사고의 진행과정에 영향을 미치는 중요한 인자로 밝혀졌다

Estimation of Fluid Saturations Using Agarose Standard in NMR Imaging (자기 공명 영상법에서 Agarose 표준 물질을 사용한 유체 포화도의 계산)

  • Agarose gels can be used as reference standards for the measurement of fluid properties in porous media because the relaxation properties of the gel reference standard and those of the fluid in porous media can be closely matched. The use of reference standard to determine porosity and saturation is discussed and the requirements for gel NMR properties given. The relaxtion times of agarose gels measured at 2.0 Tesla are illustrated as a function of agarose and paramagnetic impurity ($CuSO_4$) concentrations. This work shows an empirical result between agarose gel composition and gel relaxtion times. The average value for the porosity distribution is 17.7%, which compares well with the value calculated with the gravimetric analysis. Finally, two phase immiscible displacement using agarose gels as a reference standard was performed. The saturation profiles appear to be consistent with what one might calculate for a one-dimensional displacement in a uniform porous media.

Development of high performance liquid chromatography assay method of diosmin capsules (디오스민 캡슐의 HPLC 분석법의 개발)

  • British Pharmacopoeia (BP 2013), the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP 39) and the Korean Pharmacopoeia (KP XI) contain monographs for the quality control of raw diosmin using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). However, official monographs detailing pharmaceutical formulations for diosmin are not available in foreign pharmacopoeias. In the KP XI, ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy-which is less specific than HPLC-is reported for the testing of diosmin capsules. In this study, we present an alternative HPLC assay for such testing that is more specific than UV-Vis methods. Method validation was performed to determine linearity, precision, accuracy, system suitability, and robustness. The linearity of calibration curves in the desired concentration range was high ($r^2$>0.999), while the RSDs for intra- and inter-day precision were 0.15-0.29 % and 1.05-1.74%, respectively. Accuracies ranged from 101.2-103.2 %, while the retention time and peak area RSDs were 0.37 % and 0.06 %, respectively. Additionally, the plate number and asymmetry factor values for diosmin were 3591.293 and 1.35, respectively. Since the intermediate-precision and robustness of the assay were satisfactory, this method will be a valuable addition to the Korean Pharmacopoeia (KP XI).
