  • This paper presents an LMI-based method to design an adaptive sliding mode controller for a class of uncertain systems. In terms of LMIs an existence condition of a sliding surface is derived. And an adaptive switching feedback control law to guarantee the asymptotic stability as well as to estimate the norm bound of disturbances is proposed. Finally, a numerical design example for controlling a overhead crane model is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • 본 논문에서는 모바일 증강현실을 실현하기 위한 3차원 모델기반 카메라 추적 기술을 제안한다. 3차원 모델기반 추적 기술은 평면적이지 않은 객체에 적용 가능하며, 특히 텍스처가 없는 환경에서 유용하다. 제안하는 방식은 대상 객체의 3차원 모델정보로부터 영상에서 추출한 에지와의 대응점을 찾고, 대응점의 거리를 최소화하는 카메라 움직임을 추정함으로써 이전 카메라 포즈(위치 및 방향)로부터 현재 포즈가 추적되는 방식이다. 안드로이드 플랫폼의 스마트폰 상에서 제안된 방식으로 카메라 포즈를 추적하고 3차원 가상 콘텐츠를 증강시켜 봄으로써 그 유용성을 확인한다.

  • This paper presents to generate 3D building model using estimation of rooftop surface after 3D line segment extraction using hybrid stereo matching techniques in terms of the co-operation of area-based stereo and feature-based stereo. we first performed a junction extraction from 3D line segment data which was obtained by stereo images, and finally generated building's reliable rooftop surface model using LSE(Least Square Error) method after creating surfaces by grouped and fixed junction points. we generated synthetic images for experimentation by photo-realistic simulation on Avenches data set of Ascona aerial images.

  • 본 논문에서는 유도전동기의 속도 제어를 위한 자속관측기를 설계한다. 고정자에서 전류의 크기, 전류의 변화량과 회전자의 회전 속도를 측정하여 슬라이딩 평면을 구성한 슬라이딩 보드 기법으로 설계된 관측기를 통해 자속을 추정한다. 모의실험을 통해 관측기의 성능을 검증한다.

A Study on Practical PMM Test Technique for Ship Maneuverability Using System Identification Method (선박의 조종성능 추정에 있어서 시스템식별법을 이용한 PMM 시험 기법에 대한 연구)

  • A system identification method is introduced to increase the prediction accuracy of a ship's maneuverability in PMM test, analysis. To improve the accuracy of linear hydrodynamic coefficients, the analysis techniques of pure sway and yaw tests are developed, and confirmed. In the analysis of sway tests, accuracy to linear hydrodynamic coefficients depends on the frequency of sway motion. To obtain nonlinear hydrodynamic coefficients for large drift angles, a combined yaw test is introduced. Using this system identification method, runs of PMM test can be reduced while retaining sufficient accuracy, compared to the Fourier integration method. Through the comparisons with sea trial results and the Fourier integration method, the accuracy and efficiency of the newly proposed system identification method, based on least square method, has been validated.

  • In conventional Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) System, a control threshold is designed by average driver characteristics. Despite the stabilizing effort, VSC causes redundancy to an expert driver. An advanced VSC which has flexibility on its control property is proposed in this study. By using lateral velocity estimator, a control threshold is determined on side slip angle and angular velocity phase plane. Vehicle planar motion model based sliding controller is modified with respect to various control thresholds. The performance of the proposed VSC algorithm has been investigated by human-in-the-loop simulation using a vehicle simulator. The simulation results show that the control threshold has to be determined with respect to the driver steering characteristics. A VSC with variable control thresholds would provide an improvement compared to a VSC with a constant threshold.

  • Multilateration(MLAT) may complement secondary surveillance radar and also act as a real-time backup for the ADS-B system. This System is using time difference of arrival (TDOA) and based on triangulation principle. Each TDOA measurement defines a hyperbola describing possible aircraft locations. The accuracy in MLAT system depends on the positional relationship of the receiver and aircraft. There are various algorithms to localize aircraft based on TOA estimation. In this paper, we use least square method and extended Kalman filter and compare their results. Study results show that the extend Kalman filter provides a better performance than the least square method.

Suggestion of the Parallel Algorithm for the Signal Estimation in the Wavelet Transform Domain (웨이브렛 변환평면에서의 병렬 신호 추정 알고리듬의 제안)

  • This paper describes an algorithm that reduces computational requirement of the Kalman filter and estimates the signal efficiently. The reference signals are mapped onto the orthogonal wavelet transform domain so that the eigenvalue spread of its autocorrelation matrix could be smaller than that in the time domain. In the wavelet transform domain the autocorrelation matrix is nearly diagonal. Therefore, the transformed signal can be decomposed each orthogonal elements. The Kalman filter can be applied to each orthogonal elements and computational requirement is reduced. The possibility of applying the parallel Kalman filter was verified through the theory and simulation. The eigenvalue spread in the wavelet transform domain is smaller 8.35 times than that in the time domain and the computational requirement is reduced from 1.4 times to 2. 93 times than that of the conventional Kalman filter.

Modified S-N Curve Method to Estimate Fatigue life of Welded Joints (수정 S-N곡선법을 이용한 용접연결부의 피로수명 추정)

  • In this paper, the effects of irregular bead shapes on fatigue life were investigated. A modified S-N curve method was used to estimate the fatigue life, which considered the inherent multiaxiality caused by the geometrical feature produced by the welding process. The point method of the critical distance method was used to determine the fatigue effective stress. Three types of fillet joint models were tested in the fatigue experiments. For each model, real bead shapes were collected using a 3D laser scanner, and finite element analyses were performed. The results of the analyses with actual bead shapes were compared with those using an idealized bead shape model. The results of the present analytical methods showed good agreement with the experimental results.

  • 본 연구는 해양수산부가 지원하는 해외항만개발협력사업의 일환으로, 중미국가인 엘살바도르 주요 2개항의 항만개발 타당성조사 및 기본계획 수립을 목적으로 하되 장래 해외항만개발사업에서 참고할 수 있도록 정리하였다. 주요 내용으로는 국가 일반현황 및 지역분석, 인프라 현황 분석, 시장조사 및 물동량 수요추정, 항만 개발규모 및 중장기 개발방향 제시, 경제성 및 재무성 분석을 통해 수원국에 필요한 국가 상위계획 자료를 제공하는 것이며, 연구결과가 계획에만 그치지 않도록 사업시행을 위한 재원조달 방안 및 항만 활성화 방안 등 실질적 사업현실화 방안을 제시하였다.
