  • Pantograph of high speed rolling stock is one of the key components that transfer of associated technologies was blocked fundamentally from advanced nations. In this study, main technologies related to development of prototype pantograph installed on prototype test train developed according to the project "Development of high speed railway technology" are presented. Status of current korean technologies is explained by presenting developed technologies and applications during the past 6 years from concept design to test and evaluation.

  • This paper describes the analysis of aerodynamics and the prediction of airflow induced noise around simplified pantograph. First, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is conducted far several model to evaluate linear/nonlinear flow field characteristics due to high speed flow and the CFD results support the computational aeroacoustics. The accurate prediction of the aeroacoustic analysis is necessary for designers to control and reduce the airflow induced noise. We adopt the acoustic analogy based on Ffowcs Williams- Hawkings (FW-H) equation and predict aeroacoustic noise.

  • 전동차는 판토그라프를 통하여 전력을 공급받아 견인전동기를 구동시켜 운전을 하는 시스템으로 구성되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 전력 공급 선로에서부터 견인전동기의 구동까지 추진제어장치의 구성을 기술하고, 교류 가선에서 각 전력변환장치의 제어 방법에 대하여 기술하였다.

  • Pantograph, which collects current from cartenary system, is one of important parts of high-speed train. Kinematic analysis is basic component of pantograph design. But kinematic analysis is very complex and time-consuming. Therefore numerical calculation of pantograph kinematics is necessary. In this study, pantograph kinematic analysis software was developed and relationship between kinematic parameters and pantograph performance was investigated. The software and relationship between kinematic parameters and pantograph performance are helpful to pantograph designers

  • 본 논문은 우수한 전기전도도 및 내 아크성을 가진 동계주습판에 관한 것이다. 내마모성이 향상된 동계 주습판을 개발하여 실내실험과 현장실험을 수행하였다. 주습판 재료의 성분 조성을 변경하여 재질과 제조공정을 개선하였으며, 실내실험과 현장실험을 통하여 기존 주습판과 내마모성을 비교하였다. 실내 실험은 다이나모 실험을 통하여 이루어졌으며, 실험결과 개선품의 내마모성은 기존 제품에 비해 2배 정도 향상되었으며, 균질한 마모패턴을 보여주었다. 또한 공용중인 도시철도 구간에서 현장 시험을 수행하였으며, 현장실험결과도 실내 실험과 같이 개발된 개선품의 내구성이 기존품에 비해 2배 정도 향상되었으며, 이상마모가 발생하지 않는다는 것을 확인하였다. 내구성이 향상된 본 개발품의 현장 적용 시, 경제적이고 효과적인 도시철도 노선의 유지보수가 가능할 것으로 판단된다

  • The pantograph on HEMU400 perform the simulation of following characteristics for pantograph's performance prediction and confirming the EN50119's requirement. To meet the performance requirements for the input data are proposed. Simulation result of the performance requirements are satisfied from proposed input data. The new model was developed by proposed data base on the simulation result. A new developed model data used in following characteristics meet to be sure about what the test was done to count the equivalence of mass. Depending on the results of test to performance prediction, and propose research directions.

  • The pantograph for Korean High Speed Train was developed and had been evaluating by through 'G7-R&D project' for home grown high speed train technology. In this paper, from the point of view in mechanical aspect, comparison study on the current collection characteristics between the KHST pantograph and contact wire in catenary system on the High-Speed Line and Ho-Nam/Kyoung-Bu conventional lines is conducted. A measuring system for the performance and mechanical characteristics of the KHST pantograph is used for this study, which was developed and installed on the Proto-type Korean High Speed Train, and physical characteristics were measured while the KHST runs on the High-Speed Line and conventional lines. Through this study, remarkable variations of characteristics which can affect to a current collection quality of high-speed train are found and analyzed from measured mean contact forces in both tracks.

  • A method for accurate measurement of the contact force in the current collection system of the high-speed railway is developed. In order to measure the contact force with minimal modifications to the pantograph, strain gauges are attached to the bottom of the contact strip. An algorithm for deriving the magnitude and stagger of the contact force from the bending strain measurements is devised. For the sample pantograph, the static contact forces are measured to within ${\pm}$5 % error for the magnitude and ${\pm}$ 2cm error for the stagger. For dynamic contact force measurement, it is found that the contact strip can the regarded as a rigid body for the contact frequency of less than 15 ㎐.
