A Systematic Review of the Rehabilitation Motivation Evaluation Tool for Stroke Patients (뇌졸중 환자의 재활동기 평가도구에 관한 체계적 문헌고찰)

  • Objective : In this study, the rehabilitation motivation evaluation tool for stroke patients was identified, and the characteristics of the evaluation tool were analyzed to analyze the conceptual framework and characteristics used in the composition of the evaluation contents. Methods : From 2000 to May 2022, documents registered in major domestic and foreign databases (PubMed, NDSL, Medline, and EMbase) were searched and selected according to the selection and exclusion criteria. The evaluation tools used in the selected documents were analyzed, and the characteristics of this evaluation tool were analyzed. Results : A total of 30 documents were selected, and they were classified into a total of five rehabilitation motivation evaluation tools. The most widely used in Korea was the measurement tool for rehabilitation motivation for the disabled, and the most widely used overseas was the intrinsic motivation inventory. Three evaluation tools constructed the evaluation contents based on the self-determination theory, and two constructed the evaluation contents through expert agreement. The number of evaluation items and 8 to 45 items were varied, and the evaluation scale was also used in various ways from 4 to 7 point scale. Conclusion : It was possible to identify the evaluation tools mainly used for the evaluation of rehabilitation motivation, and to identify the main conceptual framework based on the development of the rehabilitation motivation evaluation tool. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data for research on the development of rehabilitation motivation evaluation tools for stroke patients in the future.

Comparison of Feature Performance in Off-line Hanwritten Korean Alphabet Recognition (오프라인 필기체 한글 자소 인식에 있어서 특징성능의 비교)

  • This paper presents a comparison of recognition performance of the features used inthe recent handwritten korean character recognition.This research aims at providing the basis for feature selecion in order to improve not only the recognition rate but also the efficiency of recognition system.For the comparison of feature performace,we analyzed the characteristics of theose features and then,classified them into three rypes:global feature(image transformation)type,statistical feature type,and local/ topological feature type.For each type,we selected four or five features which seem more suitable to represent the characteristics of korean alphabet,and performed recongition experiments for the first consonant,horizontal vowel,and vertical vowel of a korean character, respectively.The classifier used in our experiments is a multi-layered perceptron with one hidden layer which is trained with backpropagation algorithm.The training and test data in the experiment are taken from 30sets of PE92. Experimental results show that 1)local/topological features outperform the other two type features in terms of recognition rates 2)mesh and projection features in statical feature type,walsh and DCT features in global feature type,and gradient and concavity features in local/topological feature type outperform the others in each type, respectively.

The affective components of facial beauty (아름다운 얼굴의 감성적 특징)

  • In this paper, we investigated the affective components of facial beauty. In study 1, we did factor analysis of affective evaluations of the faces, and about 65% of the variances are explained by only two factors. Two factors were named 'sharp' and 'soft', respectively. In study 2, the correlation between facial beauty and affective evaluations was analyzed, and the correlation between facial beauty and sharp factor was significant. In study 3, we made the new images by morphing and warping the faces: 'average', 'high-ranked', and 'exaggerated'. The participants evaluated the 'high-ranked' face more beautiful than the 'average' face, and the 'exaggerated' face more beautiful than the 'high-ranked' face. The rating of affective words on the faces showed that the 'average' face was related to 'soft' impression, the 'high-ranked' image to 'sharp' impression, and the 'exaggerated' face might have double impression. These results might support the directional hypothesis for the facial beauty.

Analysis on location selection of the Memorial Park at Pangyo (판교 신도시내의 추모공원 입지선정 분석)

  • Building new town 'Pangyo', it is proposed to estalbish a memorial park. But memorial parks are considered as a 'disliked' facilities among people, so its location selection is very difficult to decide. In this study the location possibility is reviewed in two steps through interview with professionals. For selection a location, many components are also checked and evaluated such as natural conditions, technical points and social factors. This study can be helpful to study more location selection for other 'disliked' facilities.

  • 본 논문에서는 비점원오염 관리를 위한 지역선정을 위하여 계층분석적 의사결정기법에 의한 접근 방법을 제시하였다. 주어진 유역 내에서의 비점원오염의 중요기여 인자간의 관계를 반영한 것이 본 연구의 특징이다. 주요인자로는 경사도, 유달거리, 유효강우비, 불투수면적비, 토양유실량이다. 각 인자의 가중치는 계층분석적 의사결정기법(AHP)으로 구하였으며 각 인자의 가중값과 속성 값의 단순 부가가중 합으로 표현되는 비점원오염 영향지수를 정의하였다. 높은 영향지수를 가지는 지역을 비점원오염 관리지역으로 제안하였으며, 시험유역으로 발안HP#6유역을 선정하여 적용해보았다. 관리지역 결과를 비교하기 위하여 AGNPS 모의를 통한 비점원오염 부하량간의 분석을 시도하였다. 비교 및 분석을 위해 Moran's I를 이용하였으며, T-N은 $0.38{\sim}0.45$, T-P는 $0.15{\sim}0.22$의 범위를 보였다. 이는 두 접근 방법이 상이함에도 공간적으로 유사한 경향을 보인다는 것을 말한다. 본 연구에서 제시하는 방법은 비점원오염 관리지역 선정에 있어서 적용가능 함을 의미한다.

Determination of Threshold Value for Extracting Shape Information of the Objects (물체의 형상정보추출에 있어서의 임계값의 선정)

  • This paper propose on the determination of threshold values for extracting shape information of the objects. First, surface curvatures such as mean curvature and gaussian curvature is calculated from given range data. And then local surface regions are classified into the one of 8 primitives by using the sign of mean curvature H and gaussian curvature K. Also from the statistical viewpoint. the range of the zero of H and K in the range is obtained through the analysis of the relation between mean curvature and gaussian curvature. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed mithod in this paper is demonstrated by comparing with a case, where the zero threshold is arbitrarily obtained.

Real-Time face detection using the Skin color and Haar-like feature (피부색과 Haar-like feature를 이용한 실시간 얼굴검출)

  • Face detection in real-time video constitutes one of the major trend in face recognition. In this paper, we propose a face detection algorithm using the skin color and Haar-like feature in real-time video. The proposed algorithm is followed by three sequences; First, moving objects are detected by difference-method in YCbCr coordinates, and then by using Haar-like features, face candidate regions of the moving objects is selected. Finally we extract the most possible face candidates by comparing the pixel values of face candidates with the skin color. In order to prevent a mistake. we use similar features or skin color to detect a face by selecting a adaptive ROI and improve the processing speed in real-time video. The computer simulation shows the validity of the proposed method that the processing speed is improved by 30% than previous works and the detection success rate is 96.8%.

  • In this paper, we proposed a method of content-based image retrieval using variable region. Content-based image retrieval uses color histogram for the most part. But the existing color histogram methods have a disadvantage that it reduces accuracy because of quantization error and absence of spatial information. In order to overcome this, we convert color information to HSV space, quantize hue factor being pure color information, and calculate histogram of the factor. On the other hand, to solve the problem of the absence of spatial information, we select object region in consideration of color feature and region correlation. It maintains the size of region in the selected object region. But non-object region is integrated in one region. After of selection variable region, we retrieve using color feature. As the result of experimentation, the proposed method improves 10$\%$ in average of precision.

  • YouTube, a video platform used by millions of people worldwide, provides a rapidly growing video service. This study aims to understand the characteristics and cultural differences of each country using the Kaggle dataset, one of the public datasets, and to show the usefulness of the public dataset. For this purpose, we analyze data from 11 countries, 15 categories, and about 1.1 million trending videos. This study adopts Python to obtain the number of videos by category for data analysis, the selection period of videos rapidly increasing in popularity, and the ratio of unique videos. In the future, based on machine learning, we plan to research to help diagnose individual videos and establish channel operation plans and strategies by predicting the selection possibility and selection period based on machine learning.

Extraction of Car Number Plate Using Wavelet Transform (Wavelet 변환을 이용한 차량 번호판 영역 추출)

  • In this paper, it is shown that the car number plate are segmented and extracted more efficiently by using wavelet transform. A car image is decomposed by wavelet transform, and the high frequency image of the decomposed image are selected as feature images. Three selected feature images are synthesized of a single feature image, and a region including the plate is segmented by the correlation coefficient between the feature image and the synthesized image. For segmented plate region, the car plate region is extracted by deciding the Y-axis region composed by vertical region, the car plate region is extracted by deciding the Y-axis region composed by vertical histogram and the X-axis region composed by the variance histogram. Some experiment results of the various image and shown. It has been shown from the results with the high rate of 96% that the car number plates can be segmented and extracted more extractly and efficiently than converntional method.
