Process Development and Economic Evaluation for Catalytic Conversion of Furfural to Tetrahydrofurfuryl Alcohol (푸르푸랄의 화학적 촉매전환을 통한 테트라히드로푸르푸릴 알코올 생산 공정 개발 및 경제성 평가)

  • Lignocellulosic biomass is a renewable resource for production of biofuels and biochemicals. Furfural (FF) is an important platform chemical catalytically derived from the hemicellulose fraction of biomass. Tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol (THFA) is a FF derivative and can be used as an eco-friendly solvent with thermal and chemical stability. Despite large numbers of experimental studies for catalytic conversion of FF to THFA, few research have conducted on the economic feasibility for large-scale THFA production from FF. At the stage of assessment of the potential for commercialization of conversion technology, a large-scale process study is required to identify technological bottleneck and to obtain information for solving scale-up problems. In this study, process simulation and technoeconomic evaluation for catalytic conversion of FF to THFA are performed, as the following three steps: integrated process design, heat integration, and economic evaluation. First, a large-scale process including conversion and separation processes is designed based on experimental results. When the FF processing rate is 255 tonnes per day, the FF-to-THFA yields are 63.2~67.9 mol%. After heat integration, the heating requirements are reduced by 14.4~16.4%. Finally, we analyze the cost drivers and calculate minimum selling price of THFA by economic evaluation. The minimum selling price of THFA for the developed process are $2,120~2,340 per tonne, which are close to the current THFA market price.

  • Recently, the development and production of weapons systems for military products have been increasing. Therefore, there is a need for an efficient quality control method suitable for limited resources and manpower for the manufactured military products. Military munitions are characteristically developed and produced as business contract units. In addition, business and quality control are done by contract. For this reason, many contracts are concluded in one producer and similar products are often produced. Business and quality control also require extensive manpower and effort. If a company produces several similar products, a more efficient management approach is required. This study therefore examines these problems in an attempt to present solutions by analyzing the types of munitions contracts and the characteristics of products produced by one company. Based on the results, a method is proposed to manage the contract-specific management methods by company, that is, by business site. The method is applied to an engine manufacturing company and the integrated management plan is verified and its effectiveness confirmed. The effect of facility-wide method was a reduction of QA manpower and an improvement in maintaining quality assurance and stability through management of the workforce and contract grouping method.

Modularization of Automotive Product Architecture: Evidence from Passenger Car (자동차 아키텍처의 모듈화: 승용차 사례를 중심으로)

  • How has the passenger car's architecture evolved? In the meantime, the discussions on the car architecture have been mixed, i.e., integral, modular, and the coexistence of two types. Therefore, in this study, we aim to develop two indices can measure the degree of modularization of passenger car and its all modules using global trade data. By applying the indices to the framework of architecture positioning that reflects the hierarchical structure of a product, we examined that the degree of modularization of the passenger car architecture has been enhanced. Meanwhile, the degree of modularization differs across the modules that make up the car. Specifically, we observed the higher degree of modularization in front-end, cockpit and seat modules. Whereas, we found that body module had a relatively low degree of modularization. In particular, we observed that the platform of passenger car has notably modularized due to carmakers' efforts to achieve model diversification and reduction of cost and period in new product development at the same time. Interestingly, we showed that three modules, i.e., engine, chassis (relatively less modularized), and transmission (relatively highly modularized), had a different level of modularization, even if they commonly make up the platform. We contribute to the suggestion for analytical approaches that examine the degree of modularization and its progress longitudinally. In addition, we propose the necessity of decomposition of a system into elements in a study of product architecture, considering the possibly distinctive progress of modularization across the elements.

  • We suggest a new way of specifying the co-evolution of product and process technologies, and integrating it into one of the well-received technology intelligence tools - a technology radar. Cross impact analysis enables us to identify the core technologies of product-process co-evolution. Combining expert judgment with its results, we can clarify the technological co-evolution trajectory with mainstream as well as emerging core technologies. Reflecting these in the assessment process of a technology radar, we could improve reliance of the technology assessment process and technology portfolio. From the academic perspective, our research provides a point where the co-evolution theory encouners technology intelligence methods. Practically, strategic capability of future-preparedness and strategic management could improve by adopting our method based on our example of co-evolution of semiconductor product and process technologies.

  • is a MOBA game developed by 2015 at the Tentent's Tianmei Studios. The operation of the game was very successful, ranking first in the global mobile gaming revenue list in May 2017. However, most of the discussion about this game are the moral critique of game addiction. In fact, a game's success is closely related to the Marketing strategy beyond the contents of the game. This research using a neutral point of view to see the communication modes of during the early, development and outbreak period, analyze the integrated marketing communication strategy (IMC) through the method of case study, and concluded that the key to the success of IMC is the flexible use of various communication methods to achieve a three-dimensional offensive according to the famous Synergy Theory. It is also hoped that this article will be helpful for practitioners to realize the importance of Publicity and promotion of other game products.

  • This paper is analyzed of the characteristics of development operations and development security operations of the software and product, and the use analysis tools from a software code perspective. Also, it is emphasized the importance of human factors and the need to strengthen them, when considering security design rules. In this paper, we consider a secure process for managing change, focusing on fast and accurate decision-making in terms of procedural factors, when considering development security operations. In addition, the paper discussed the need for maturity model analysis in relation to the development security operating characteristics, and analyzed the meaning of the analysis elements through detailed procedures for the strength and integration elements of the dynamic and static elements accordingly. The paper also analyzed factors such as scanning activity and code analysis for threat modeling and compliance and control.

자동차 분야의 CALS/EC 구축 방향

  • 이미 전자상거래(EC)가 시간적ㆍ공간적 제약을 극복하고 국경을 초월한 새로운 교역시장 (Cyber Market)으로 등장하고 있으며 세계 자동차 산업은 표준부품의 공동개발 및 조달을 통해 중복투자 방지, 신차개발기간 단축 등 전략적 제휴를 통한 공조ㆍ공생체계 구축을 경쟁적으로 추진하고 있으나 국내 자동차업계는 제품개발, 부품조달, 판매 및 A/S 등 모든 부문을 독자적으로 해결함으로써 경쟁력 제고에 역행하는 경향이 있다. 또한 자동차 선진국과는 달리 국제 경쟁력 강화를 위한 CALS/EC 정보 기반 기술의 실질적인 활용이 미흡한 실정이다. 이러한 현실을 개선하기 위해 최근에 자동차공업협회(KAMA)와 현대, 대우, 기아 자동차 3사는 자동차 산업 CALS 추진 모델(Autopia)의 구축을 추진하고 있다. 추진 내용은 자동차 산업의 전체 Life-Cycle인 제품기획 단계부터 설계, 생산, 구매/조달, 고객지원 단계등 전 분야를 3개 부문(신차개발 프로세스, 구매조달 프로세스, 고객지원 서비스)으로 구분되어 있다. 신차개발 프로세스 부문은 차세대 PDM을 통하여 제품개발 사이클 단축을 추구하며 STEP을 통한 범용적 설계정보 교환 체계 구현이 기반이 된다. 또한 업무 흐름의 불투명성으로 인한 업무의 불균형 현상 타파와 설계 변경의 효율적 대응을 위하여 Workflow Management가 동시공학에 바탕을 두고 도입 적용되어야 한다. CAD 데이터를 비롯한 방대한 데이터의 효율적 관리를 위해서는 각 프로세스별로 독립된 정보를 체계적으로 관리할 수 있는 통합 환경(Integrated Data Environment)을 구성하여 각 프로세스에 걸쳐 데이터의 처리효율을 증대하여야 한다. 신차개발 부문의 핵심 기술이면서도 현업 적용이 초기 단계인 Digital Mockup과 Virtual Reality의 적용을 위해서는 3D 모델링이 기본 설계 방법으로 적용되어야 하며 이를 통한 어셈블리 및 부품구조의 관리가 이루어져야 한다. 구매조달 프로세스 부문은 자동차 업계의 공통 EDI/EC 네트워크 구축을 통한 경제적인 인프라 구조와 함께 부품 조달 체계의 간소화를 추구함으로써 자동차 산업의 대외 경쟁력 강화가 이루어 질 수 있다. 공개구매 시스템의 구축을 통하여 완성차별로 전속 계열화된 수직적인 부품조달 체계와 업체간 정보공유의 폐쇄성을 제거할 수 있고 완전 경쟁에 의한 우량 협력업체 발굴 기회의 확대가 용이하다. 이를 통하여 궁극적으로는 Global Vendor망의 구축이 실현될 것이다. 종합물류 시스템이 구현되면 판매는 경쟁체제, 물류는 공동화가 됨으로써 국가적으로 물류 비용의 절감이 엄청날 것으로 예상된다. 전국에 산재되어 있는 1,000여개의 대리점과 7,000여개의 정비업소를 대상으로 한 정비부품 EDI/EC 시스템이 구축되면 고객 서비스의 효율 향상과 함께 정비업소의 물류 및 재고 비용의 감소, 조달 속도의 향상, 조달 업무의 간소화 등의 효과를 보게 될 것이다. 고객지원 서비스는 정비정보 시스템, 산업정보 시스템, 쇼핑몰 시스템, 등록대행 시스템등을 통하여 일반 국민들이 피부로 느낄 수 있는 시스템으로 구축 되어야 할 것이다.

Exploring Users' Desired Emotion in Product Light Focusing on the Refrigerator (제품 조명에 기대하는 소구 감성 탐색: 냉장고 사례를 중심으로)

  • Despite the substantial changes made in the product design field to adopt light as an essential design element, there has been little effort to define how customers respond emotionally to the light design of products. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the emotional effect of light as a new design element. However, previous research focuses solely on deriving optimal lighting conditions to achieve particular emotional effects. Therefore, this paper investigates the customers' desired emotional effects of product's light design. We studied refrigerators that utilize light as the main design element of the product. We applied mixed methods by combining close-ended questions and open-ended question to efficiently derive the desired emotion. Participants were asked to choose the most favorable refrigerator image in each of the twelve image groups and indicate why they choose that image with the short-answer survey form. Approximately one thousand terms were collected, and those terms were classified into 29 groups using thesaurus relationships. The term groups were again classified into the four big emotion categories and labelled as "abstract quality," "light property," "space perception," and "visual comfort." Also, a model of the relationship between desired light style and light properties was proposed, since we observed the light properties related to three other categories. This study used mixed methods to identify the emotional value of a new design element. We suggest that the emotional categories derived and the proposed relationship model could be used to evaluate the product's light design.

  • 본 논문에서는 현재 국내에서 구축되어 있지 않은 3차원 BIM 기반 설계 및 시공 환경으로의 패러다임 전환에 대비하여 3차원 BIM 지향적 구조설계 프로그램인 SDP 제품군을 사용하여 BIM 프로그램들을 연동한 3차원 BIM 철근배근 자동생성 시스템을 개발하고자 한다. 현재 국내 건설업계의 치열한 수주경쟁으로 수익률저하/철근 등 자제가 폭등/인건비 상승/배근시공도 작성 인력 부족 및 신뢰성 저하 및 납기 지연 등의 기존 현황의 문제점 등을 SDP 제품군을 이용하여 구조설계/배근시공도 작성/정밀 골조물량 산출을 통합 지원하는 엔지니어링 컨설팅 환경을 구축하여 구조설계 시 V/E 동시 수행, 골조공사비 10% 절감, 배근시공도 및 물량산출 납기 최소로 단축, 배근시공도 정확성 향상/설계 및 시공 변경에 신속 대응, 공정 대비 발주 물량 관리 기능을 제공함으로써 고수익, 고효율, 고품질 의 엔지니어링 컨설팅 수행이 가능하다. 3차원 BIM 을 기반으로 철근현장가공에서 공장가공 전환 가속화로 국가적 물량 절감을 기대할 수 있고, 3차원 BIM 구조설계 및 골조공사 환경 구축 및 기술 자립을 통해 건설시공 분야의 기술력 향상을 기대할 수 있다.

Movie Recommended System base on Analysis for the User Review utilizing Ontology Visualization (온톨로지 시각화를 활용한 사용자 리뷰 분석 기반 영화 추천 시스템)

  • Recently, researches for the word of mouth(WOM) imply that consumers use WOM informations of products in their purchase process. This study suggests methods using opinion mining and visualization to understand consumers' opinion of each goods and each markets. For this study we conduct research that includes developing domain ontology based on reviews confined to "movie" category because people who want to have watching movie refer other's movie reviews recently, and it is analyzed by opinion mining and visualization. It has differences comparing other researches as conducting attribution classification of evaluation factors and comprising verbal dictionary about evaluation factors when we conduct ontology process for analyzing. We want to prove through the result if research method will be valid. Results derived from this study can be largely divided into three. First, This research explains methods of developing domain ontology using keyword extraction and topic modeling. Second, We visualize reviews of each movie to understand overall audiences' opinion about specific movies. Third, We find clusters that consist of products which evaluated similar assessments in accordance with the evaluation results for the product. Case study of this research largely shows three clusters containing 130 movies that are used according to audiences'opinion.
