FMS is a distributed system composed of various programmable manufacturing hardware such as robots and NC machines. For the autonomous operation of such a system, an integrated software layer for the control and monitoring in needed on top of the manufacturing hardware. However, constructing and maintaining such a software layer is difficult due to the complexity of a underlying FMS and its frequently changing nature. To cope with this problem, this paper proposes an object-oriented FMS integration model, in which objects acting as virtual manufacturing cells are instantiated for each physical cell in the underlying object-oriented database. Various other entities involved in manufacturing processes and their relationship to the cell objects are also captured in the database. This paper describes the structure of this object-oriented FMS database on our prototype implementation called FREE.

Recently, the need for integration of military-related information is increasing. The fundamental problem for integrating existing information systems is semantic inconsistency. To solve this problem, the use of metadata is essential, because metadata is a key component for effective information integration. In this paper, we present a metadata-based data grid system for integrating military data sources. First, we investigate federated database approach and data grid approach for information integration, and deal with metadata-based data grid. Then we present a data grid system for the integration of military information.

오늘날 정보기술은 국가를 비롯한 각 조직의 생존을 위한 필수적인 요소가 되었으며, 조직의 업무를 효과적으로 수행하기 위해서는 정보기술관리 및 상호운용성이 보장된 통합시스템구축이 필수적인 과제가 되었다. 그러나 현재 운용중인 대다수의 시스템들은 이러한 상호운용성의 개념 없이 개별적인 기능을 위해 개발되었으며, 향후 다른 시스템과 상호운용을 위해서는 막대한 비용과 노력이 요구되고 있으나, 정보 시스템들 사이의 상호운용을 구축하기 위한 지침이나 방안이 없는 것이 현실이다. 본 고에서는 미 국방성이 상호운용을 위하여 정립한 LISI(Levels of Information Systems Interoperability: 이하 LISI로 표기함)에 대하여 설명하고, 이러한 LISI를 전사적 범위에서의 정보시스템 현실에 적용하기 위한 방안을 제시하고, 현 기술 수준에 맞는 능력모델과 구현옵션테이블을 구현하여 상호운용성 수준 측정 프레임워크를 제안하였다.

본 논문은 현재 이종 분산 컴포넌트 기반 시스템간의 상호운용성을 부각하고자 한다. 컴포넌트 기반으로 개발된 시스템들이 이종의 플랫폼(CORBA, .Net, JAVA)들상에 각 컴포넌트의 고유 기능 자체 그대로 상호운용이 가능해야 할 것이다. 그러나 각각의 벤더들에 의해 독자적으로 개발된 컴포넌트 모델/시스템을 사용하여 컴포넌트 표준화나 통합화에 많은 노력이 필요로 한다. 이는 시스템간의 상호운용성을 해결하는데 있다. 본 논문에서는 컴포넌트 상호운용 성숙도 모델(CIMM)을 언급하고 웹 서비스를 이용한 이종 분산 컴포넌트 기반 시스템 간의 상호운용성에 대해 상호운용 성숙도 모델(IMM)로 상호운용 수준평가을 통해 향상 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

인터넷상에 존재하는 네트워크 자원이 급증하면서 이들 자원을 식별. 기술하는 메타데이터도 여러 가지 다른 형식으로 개발 및 이용되고 있다. 따라서 독립적으로 운용되는 메타데이터간의 상호호환성을 높이기 위한 메타데이터 연결이나 통합 구조가 요구된다. 이러한 통합 구조의 논의는 DC의 제2차 워크숍에서 제안돼 WF(Warwick Framework)에서 시작되어 RDF(Resource Description Framework)로 이어지고 있다.

User can be offered various information form internet and reserve. However this operation is hard to be satisfied with user's requirement. Because it offer the alternative by self-mediation and the place where offer the information is distributed and a form or stored f[nm of data would be different. These cases occurred in change of enterprise recently. In a process of M&A, outsourcing or cooperation. necessity of new strategy become a pressing issue for ensuring interoperability on application, database of each enterprise and integration information management. Thus, interoperability of distributed data is a base condition for cooperation of legacy system, it will solve a problem such as available or clarity of data, problem of cooperation system. This paper use a XMDR for integration of distributed system and ensuring interoperability. By using XMDR, integrate a traveling information system and it will be solve the problem of interoperability and variety data problem that be occurred in integration of data by suggesting a technique of transaction management.

Korea navy has been using the voice-oriented ICS to raise a efficiency of naval ship operation. Recently a multimedia network which are included voice, video and text is under consideration by korean navy. As a basic research to establish the integrated multimedia network of a naval ship, this paper classify the networks in order to apply to an integrated network among the various networks within a naval ship. We also consider the sort and characteristic of the multimedia traffic which is using within the classified networks. To predict the link capacity of switch from number of traffic input source, we suggest a traffic aggregation model. Then we calculate the link capacity of aggregated traffic and analyze a aggregated traffic of Korea major naval ship.

With the rapid growth of technologies and demand of remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPASs), integration of such systems into the existing airspace is becoming an issue in many countries. To assess the impact of integrated operations of manned and remotely piloted aircraft (RPA), it is necessary to perform Human-in-The-Loop (HiTL) simulations of likely situations with an integrated simulation system. This paper defines several operational concepts for the integrated simulation. Several probable scenarios were developed including a traffic pattern at a small airport and an altitude maneuver at a route crossing. HiTL simulations were performed according to the developed scenarios. The simulation results are analyzed focusing on the impacts of different communication, safety, performance, and human machine interface (HMI) characteristics of RPA.

The Aircraft Development Department operated a Technical Document Management System that was effectively managed using a database management system for the management of the technical information created by a research and development phase of an aircraft and managed a technical information of a research and development varied by the project on a lot of the aircraft development program. While managing the user management and technical information project, it caused some problems on the workflow of the Work Memo and a search of some technical information, etc. As result, we developed the web-based Integrated Technical Information System(ITIS) which be able to totally manage the Technical Document Management System varied by program. According to the construction and operation of this system, we can access by program using user account and privilege and dramatically increased the productivity of a research and development because of performing the workflow of the Work Memo and some search of technical information by the integrated screen of the ITIS.
