Social Network Service (SNS) such as Twitter and Facebook has explosively grown nationwide since iPhone was introduced to Korea in 2009. In addition, KakaoStory has recently opened and joined to the SNS market, and it has grown to one of the most popular SNS in the domestic market in a short period of time. Social Network Service supports not only the formation of relationship between SNS users in common interests but also various activities such as management of personal connections and the sharing of information or contents. These three types of SNS have several common functions of sharing and distributing various contents rooted on the personal relationship formed through SNS. As each SNS user has specific reasons for the use of each service, a survey was conducted targeting those who use all of Twitter, Facebook, and KakaoStory was drawn by the statistical analyses of survey answers on users' reasons for each service. This result of study suggests factors to consider in order to exploit a new SNS or to enhance an existing service and can be used as a standard of which SNS for users to select for their own different purposes. It will also provide the basic data for the trust formation, one of the ethics in the upcoming Social Era.
With advances in information and communication technologies, many innovative technologies have been developed. Those technologies are changing every aspect of our daily life. Especially smart technologies are changing our life dramatically. Smart devices such as tablet PCs and smart phones are used in education so that new concept called "smart learning" is created and used. Currently smart learning becomes popular in accordance with wide distribution of smart devices and smart contents in schools. In order to compare and check the current status and progress of individuals in smart environment, we need smart literacy standards. However, there has been only few works for smart literacy standards for teachers and students. Also, those standards need to be improved. The purpose of this paper is to develop smart literacy standards for teachers and students in smart learning environment. The proposed literacy standards are developed based on the existing ICT literacy standards. In this work, smart literacy standards consist of four main areas, smart education, smart knowledge, smart application, and smart ethics, respectively. For development of smart literacy, wide experts from teachers, professors, and researchers are selected and surveyed. Their responses are analyzed using through statistical analysis so that final smart literacy standards are obtained.
To compare between calcium scoring CT (CSCT) and Low-dose CT (LDCT) image finding for coronary artery calcification (CAC) in screening of lung disease by MDCT. A total of 61 subjects who retired-workers exposed to inorganic dust were performed LDCT and CSCT by using a MDCT scanner on the same day, after be approved by the institutional review board, and obtaining the written informed consent from all subjects. LDCT images were read for detecting lung diseases as well as CAC by a experienced chest radiologist, then the subjects were divided either the positive group with CAC or the negative group without it. The CSCT was used to quantify and detect the presence of calcification in the coronary artery, and score of CAC calculated by using a Rapidia software (ver 2.8). In all coronary arteries, calcium score of positive group was higher better than that in negative group, especially in the total calcium (13.7 vs. 582.9, p=0.008) and the left anterior descending artery (3.2 vs. 249.0, p=0.006). CAC findings between CSCT and LDCT image were showed excellent agreement in cut-off point 100(K-value=0.80, 95% CI=0.69-0.91) from total calcium score. CAC findings on LDCT images showed the higher relation with CSCT. Therefore, the obstructive coronary artery disease could be predicted by CAC on LDCT images for screening of lung diseases.

The purpose is to increase the likelihood of physical education students for employment in public institutions by examining the priority for hiring sports-related public institutions. The subject of the study was purposeful sampling of a total of 11 persons including 4 sports professors, 3 NCS experts in sports field, 2 judges from public sports institutions, and 2 personnel in charge of hiring public institutions. Through this process, from January 3 to March 12, 2020, the importance of priority was analyzed using hierarchical structure analysis using the main factors of NCS vocational basic competency. All data are coded so that statistical processing can be performed. Using SPSS/PC (ver. 21.0) for Windows, the hierarchical structure analysis was used for frequency analysis and priority determination. First, communication skills (.231), organizational comprehension skills (.177), resource management skills (.128), interpersonal skills (.110), vocational ethics (.082), problems in the major areas of recruitment of sports-related public institutions Solving ability (.061), information ability (.056), mathematical ability (.054), self-development ability (.052), and description ability (.049) were analyzed in order. Second, in terms of evaluation items, communication is communication skills (.442), mathematical skills are basic computation skills (.512), problem solving skills are thinking skills (.722), self-development skills are self-management skills (.587), Resource management ability was analyzed in order of time management ability (.531), interpersonal relationship ability as teamwork ability (.382), information ability in computer use ability (.677), technical ability in technology understanding ability (.599).
Purpose: This study was performed to identify the level of stress perceived by nurses who attend dying patients in the cancer care unit; their understanding regarding end-of-life care and related training needs. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted with 151 nurses stationed at the cancer care units of four general hospitals located in Seoul and Gyeonggi province in Korea. Data were collected using self-reported questionnaires and the response rate was 96%. The data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA and Pearson's correlation analysis. SPSS 12.0 was used for data analysis. Results: Nurses experienced a high level of stress in the end-of-life care settings. Their understanding of end-of-life care was above the mid-point of the scale while their training needs for end-of-life care was relatively high. The more experienced the nurses were, the more stressed they were, particularly due to excessive workload. Nurses who served longer in the cancer unit tended to show greater needs for end-of-life care training. Conclusion: This study found nurses perform end-of-life care with a high level of stress but with insufficient understanding, and thus, showed great needs for related training. Such findings can be useful to develop an end-of-life care training program for nurses.
Recently, Police integrity has been issued on the media, which cause discredit of police organization. Although high level of morality and integrity are required compared to other occupational groups due to their authority to exert legal force to the citizens and a variety of policies have been enforced by the National Police Agency for the purpose of uplifting the integrity of the officers, in reality, corruption had not yet been eradicated. At this point in time, this study attempted to draw implications for uplifting integrity by utilizing domestic and foreign preceding studies and statistical data related to police corruption and uplifting integrity. The inspection system through whistle-blowing was pointed out as a problem in the institutional framework that hinders uplifting integrity of the police officers and the perception in which police officers are regarded as potential criminals was also pointed out as a problem. Also, vague standards of disciplinary action in examining an offense of a police officer and lack of care for those who were disciplined in the past which affects loyalty to the organization were presented as problems. Based on such suggested concerns, policies for uplifting integrity and restoring citizens' trust in the policies officers were proposed. The proposed agenda were warning the police officers by presenting clear and specific category of corruptive behaviors, expressing the necessity of devising a system that prevents the officers from committing serious crimes by discovering problematic officers earlier through introduction of Early Warning System(EWS) of US and Australian police in order to break away from exposure-oriented inspection system, and reinforcing the testing of integrity in the new employment process.
This study aimed to develop a measure of professional identity for Korean dental hygienists and to analyze the factors and characteristics of professional identity of these dental hygienists. In this study, 890 dental hygienists completed a self-administered survey. The final analysis was conducted with a total of 880 responses, excluding 10 questionnaires with unreliable responses and partial responses. A systematic literature review was conducted to establish the definition of professional identity, while content validity, exploratory factor, confirmatory factor, and reliability analysis were conducted to establish the constructive factors. Descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, and one-way ANOVA were used to identify the level of each factor. Authors conceptualized the professional identity for Korean dental hygienists and item generation, item reduction, and questionnaire formatting. The developed measure of professional identity for dental hygienists consisted of five factors, with 15 items. "Sense of calling," "need for academic capacity building," "performance of delegated authority," "compliance of code of ethics," and "usage of professional organizations" were the constituent factors. Based on these factors, the level of professional identity was the highest in the "performance of delegated authority" and lowest in the "usage of professional organizations." These finding indicated that dental hygienists with higher education levels have higher professional identity levels. The dental hygienists working at the general/university hospital had the highest level of professional identity. Thus, further research is needed to establish a model that consists of factors affecting and influencing the professional identity of dental hygienists.
The purpose of this study is to identify the educational status, e,ducation needs and competencies of nurses in the regional trauma intensive care unit. The questionnaires were collected from 123 nurses from 5 hospitals in the regional intensive Care Unit trauma. Data collection consisted of the education importance and needs of the nurses in the intensive Care Unit nurses and the competence of nurses. The analysis was analyzed by descriptive analysis, t-test, and one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation using the SPSS 21.0 program. The results showed that 78.9% had experience in trauma-intensive care nursing. In the case of the importance of trauma education, 'attitud'e was 3.64, followed by 'knowledge' was 3.52 and 'skill' was 3.47. In the analysis of the educational needs of the trauma service, 'knowledge' was highest at 3.18, 'attitude' was 3.05, and 'skill' was 2.97. The nurses' ethical competence was the highest with 3.62, followed by aesthetic competence was 3.53, personal competence was 3.39, and scientific competence was 3.37. In conclusion, it is necessary to focus on the standardized curriculum and practice-oriented education development of trauma nursing education at the present time and applicable. In addition, it is necessary to seek strategies for enhancing the professionalism and nursing competence of the trauma intensive care unit nurse.
The purposes of the study are to describe the feature of the program components, and to identify their changes in the process of designing the social work programs in the community service agencies in Korea. In order to achieve these purposes, the researchers constructed an analytical framework including 24 program components derived from the related literatures. Data was collected by questionnaires answered by the social workers who were in charge of the program development and implementation. Descriptive statistics analysis and factor analysis were applied to exam the features of the program components in 195 social service programs developed by the funds from the Community Chest of Korea and a private funding foundation. As the result of the analysis, the three noticeable features are found; (1) the agencies have very actively involved in the designing work in the process of developing practice guideline, however they have less involved in the designing work in the process of implementing program; (2) program components which are low level in design activities are intervention models, staff education, and practical ethics; (3) 8 categories of components derived from the theoretical perspective are reduced to 6 categories in the process for developing practice guidelines, finally to 4 categories in the process for implementing the programs. The implications of major findings were discussed in academic and practical perspectives in Korea, including future research works in the area.

The purpose of this study is to improve media literacy through home economics education. To this end, in this study, developed were 10 teaching-learning plans, learning activity sheets, and teaching materials for the 'relationship' area, the core concept of the 2015 revised home economics curriculum, using the ADDIE method. Pre- and post-survey results after implementing the developed program showed statistically significant improvements in enhancing participants' ability to access media and critical understanding of media. Through this, also found was that the ability to express and produce one's own thoughts and feelings has improved. As a result of a qualitative analysis, it was found that students who participated in the class experienced an overall change in the performance goals of media literacy, especially in 'critical understanding and evaluation', and improved in media use ethics and social participation consciousness as well. It is significant that this study has developed a program that can foster media literacy in home economics education. It is expected to help improve the acceptability of media literacy education in home economics education, enhancement of the expertise of home economics teachers' media literacy education, and the improvement of teaching and learning activities in the field.
