This study is to identify perceptions and response degrees of anxiety for each factor, targeting patients for CT test and analyze the relations between factors. It is to provide scientific fundamental data to reduce anxiety by improving awareness of patients about CT test by analyzing relations between variables. The subjects of this study were surveyed in self-writing type, targeting 263 patients for CT test in the department of radiology at three University hospitals from July to September, 2010. This survey was executed once by a structured self-administered survey type. The targeting patients for CT test of anxiety will investigate for affect. Anxiety by each CT test variables depending on CT test-related features showed independent variable is Expense Responsibility, Economic burden, Sufficient explain, Explain agent, Endoscope, Biopsy, Pre treatment, Previous experience, CT side effect experience, Side effect of contrast medium and dependent variable is physical, Hospital staff, Hospital environment, Socioeconomic These used statistics program SPSS (ver. 13.0). Summarizing the above results of this study, awareness of anxiety and response to it in each variable under CT test appeared significant differences in economic burdens, state anxiety, pre-treatment anxiety, exposure anxiety to radiation, and anxiety of side effect. Therefore, pre-treatment before test and pre-training programs on chemical poison of contrast medium and side effect seem to be able to release patients' anxiety level for CT test. Ways to meditate these anxiety variables and reduce degree of anxiety are needed to be researched more and updated. In addition, impact of patients' economic burdens on CT test anxiety is required to be recognized and solved in society level.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences in social anxiety and stress coping style by the college students' levels of self-efficacy. The convenience sample consisted of 400 college students in six universities. The data were collected from May to June in 2013 using the following instruments: the Self-Efficacy Scale, the Interaction Anxiousness Scale and the Ways of Coping Questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficient were used to analyze the data using SPSS 21.0. Self-efficacy was found to have negative relation with social anxiety and positive relation with active coping style while social anxiety was negatively related to active coping style and positively to passive coping style. There were differences in social anxiety and stress coping style in accordance with the level of self-efficacy. The higher group in self-efficacy used more active coping than the lower group. The support and intervention program to increase self-efficacy would be effective in decreasing social anxiety and increasing active coping style among college students.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of economic stress on aging anxiety focusing on the moderating effect of motivations for participation in volunteering, and age. In order to accomplish these purposes, a total of 182 elderly who have been volunteering were used for final analysis. The results from the multiple regression showed that economic stress increases aging anxiety among elderly and motivations for participation in volunteering are likely to mitigate aging anxiety. Also, aging anxiety is expected to be lower as people are older and have higher self-oriented motivation for volunteering. Based on the result, political and practical implications are discussed.
This study examined effects of experience of nurses' incivility and social anxiety on emotional labor in nursing students during clinical practice. The participants were 161 nursing students in universities located in G province and C province. Data were collected from November 19 to December 15, 2018 through self reported structured questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and stepwise regression. Experience of nurses' incivility correlated positively with social anxiety and emotional labor. Social anxiety was positively correlated with emotional labor. Participants' experience of incivility and social anxiety explained 21.9% of variance in emotional labor among nursing students. The findings indicate that experience of nurses' incivility and social anxiety are important factors to be considered in working to reduce emotional labor. Therefore, systematic programs to effectively manage and response the incivility problems in clinical practice and reduce social anxiety level should be developed.

As measurement tools, the death anxiety scale, psychological well-being scale, and self-integration scale were used, and Baron·Kenny (1986)'s three-step mediating effect analysis method was used. The results of the study first, The influence of death anxiety on self-integration was statistically significant. Second, the results of using the three-stage mediating effect analysis method proposed by Baron and Kenny (1986), In the relationship between death anxiety and self-integration, psychological well-being was found to have a mediating effect. In conclusion, the results of this study suggest that in order to effectively and positively deal with the elderly's self-integration problem, the elderly's psychological well-being as well as the elderly's death anxiety must not be overlooked.
The purpose of this study is to determine the association between physical activity and anxiety levels in Korean adolescents after COVID-19 Pandemic. This study performed a secondary analysis of the 16th Korea Youth Risk Behavior Survey 2020. Complex-sample descriptive statistics and the chi-square test were used for data analysis in SPSS 27. As a result, 60.9% of adolescents engaged in physical activity for more than 60 minutes a day and 39.1% of those did not. The level of anxiety among adolescents was found to be mild anxiety at 22.2%, moderate anxiety at 7.6%, and severe anxiety at 3.6%. A significant association was found between physical activity and anxiety levels (p <.001). Therefore, there should be a plan to increase physical activity in the national policy for the promotion of youth mental health.
The purpose of this study was to find ways to reduce old age anxiety by identifying the differences between old age anxiety, grandparents' connection, filial piety, and characteristics, and by identifying factors that affect old age anxiety. The study participants conveniently labeled college students residing in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Chungcheong provinces, and collected data from 2 April to 15 June 2018 and distributed a total of 250 structured questionnaires and retrieved 235 copies to use part 213 for the final analysis. The analysis used SPSS 20.0 Version to obtain frequency, percentage, average, and standard deviation, and age anxiety according to the characteristics of the subject, grandparents and sense of filial piety were analyzed with t-test and ANOVA, and the correlation between aging anxiety, grandparents' bond and filial consciousness was confirmed as Pearson correlation co-efficient. To check the effects of aging anxiety, polylinearity was diagnosed and analyzed with Stepwise multiple regression. Research found that there were statistically significant differences in age insecurity according to majors, grandparents and ties by gender and filial piety by religion and grandparents. And the lower the bond with grandparents, the higher the filial piety, the higher the anxiety was.
This study investigates the effects of communication ability and interpersonal anxiety on self-esteem before the first clinical practice in nursing students. A survey was administered to third-year nursing students who had yet to begin their clinical practice from May 15 to May 20, 2023. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, multiple regression with the SPSS/WIN26.0 program. The results showed that self-esteem is positively correlated with communication ability(r=.564) and negatively correlated with interpersonal anxiety(r=-.590) and there was a negative correlation between communication skills and interpersonal anxiety(r=-.515). The impact on self-esteem was in the order of interpersonal anxiety (𝛽=-.41) and communication ability(𝛽=.35). In conclusion, the research results showed that the higher the communication ability and the lower the interpersonal anxiety, the more it affects self-esteem. Thus, it is important to develop and implement tailored programs that enhance communication skills and facilitate interpersonal interactions while reducing anxiety for nursing students at different school years and stages.
We designed this study for verifying the differences of causes and individual results of job stress between Koreans in Korea and Chinese in China of a same company.
