Development of VR-based Crane Simulator using Training Server (트레이닝 서버를 이용한 VR 기반의 크레인 시뮬레이터 개발)

  • It is most desirable to train with a real crane in an environment similar to that of a port for crane operation training in charge of loading and unloading in a port, but it has time and space limitations and cost problems. In order to overcome these limitations, VR(Virtual Reality) based crane training programs and related devices are receiving a lot of attention. In this paper, we designed and implemented a VR-based harbor crane simulator operating on an HMD. The simulator developed in this paper consists of a crane simulator program that operates on the HMD, an IoT driving terminal that processes trainees' crane operation input, and a training server that stores trainees' training information. The simulator program provides VR-based crane training scenarios implemented with Unity3D, and the IoT driving terminal developed based on Arduino is composed of two controllers and transmits the user's driving operation to the HMD. In particular, the crane simulator in this paper uses a training server to create a database of environment setting values for each educator, progress and training time, and information on driving warning situations. Through the use of such a server, trainees can use the simulator in a more convenient environment and can expect improved educational effects by providing training information.

Operation of Container Cranes Using ℓ1-Optimal Control (1-최적제어를 이용한 컨테이너 크레인의 운전)

  • The existing control techniques for the operation of a container crane satisfy the terminal condition of controlled variables, but the outcome of input computation is inadequate for the operation of the crane due to heavy movement of inputs. In this study, a new control technique employing a nonlinear model of the crane is proposed to compute the inputs approximated with the 4th-order Chevyshev function. The control objective of sum of absolute deviations is minimized, and the optimization is conducted with the simplex algorithm. The inputs and outputs computed from the proposed technique were compared with the results of the previous study to show that they give more stable crane operation than the existing control technique.

Curriculum Development for Training Tower Crane Drivers by DACUM Method (DACUM 방법에 의한 건설용 타워크레인 기능사 자격 교육과정 개발연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest new subject to satisfy the lack parts of examination course of the existing driving tower crane certificate by using the DACUM method. For this, problems of education for the existing driving tower crane certificate and the existing subjects are examined and, based on these, comparing analysis of new subjects that follows the DACUM method and the existing subjects are conducted. The results of this study that were progressed following the purpose and method at the above are as follow : 1) It is analyzed that the existing subjects for the driving tower crane certificate could not be applied to construction fields immediately and the education to deal with disorders when driving the tower cranes. 2) The number of the subjects that have been advanced following the DACUM method is seven and those consist of five theoretical subjects and two practical subjects. It is analyzed that the developed and suggested subjects can be used in construction fields when considering the theoretical and practical parts in no time.

  • It becomes easy to acquire operating qualification of remote control tower crane and illegal retrofits is increased, remote control tower crane models are increasingly being used in smaller construction sites. However, as the problems caused by tower crane operators who have shortages of operating experience grow, safety accidents is increasing and worker is exposed to risk of accident. In this study, the cause of the accident was derived by analyzing the cause of the remote control tower crane accident. And then, the significance of accident causes was analyzed by AHP technique. The result of this study is that tower crane operators and construction workers do not comply with work rules.

  • 타워크레인은 조선, 건설 등 산업 현장에서 중량물 운반 운전을 위한 도구로 사람이 수동 작업으로 대부분 수행된다. 이러한 타워크레인 운전 훈련 과정은 훈련 실습자에게 장시간 교육하기에 비효율적 뿐 아니라 위험한 작업이므로 최근에는 가상 훈련 시뮬레이션을 통해 이루어 지고 있다. 이러한 가상 타워크레인 시뮬레이션을 구현하기 위해서는 기후환경, 중량물, 줄걸이와 같은 외부적 요인도 중요하지만 타워크레인의 운반 중량물과 직접적으로 연결이되는 로프를 정밀하게 표현하는 것이 중요하다. 하지만, 현재 개발된 대다수의 로프는 단면이 원통형을 띄고 있어 물리적인 요인이 작용하였을 때, 회전축이나 물리적인 형태를 가늠하기가 어렵다. 그러므로, 가상의 타워크레인 시뮬레이션 로프를 실제 타워크레인 슬링벨트와 유사한 면의 형태를 가지고 구축하여 실 환경과 유사한 환경에서 숙련된 타워크레인 시뮬레이션을 훈련하기 위한 로프 시뮬레이션이 필요하다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 로프 시뮬레이션이 실제와 동일한 형태의 슬링벨트를 제공할 뿐만 아니라 로프의 면 형태 구현하고, 물리시뮬레이션을 통해 로프의 사실적인 움직임을 나타낼 수 있는 가상현실(VR) 기반 훈련 로프 시뮬레이션을 제시한다.

  • Recently, studies on the integrity of rotating machines, such as gantry cranes, which are used in the shipbuilding industry, have been actively conducted. Gantry cranes are driven at relatively low revolutions per minute (RPM), are frequently operated and stopped, and are impacted by external environmental factors, such as shock and noise in the measurement data. The purpose of this study was to construct a replica of a gantry crane hoist used in indoor shipbuilding and analyze the acquired data for errors caused by the shift in operating conditions (RPM) and the change in the position of the data acquisition sensor. Consequently, we observed that the error caused by differences in sensor positions did not occur significantly under low operating conditions but occurred significantly under relatively high operating conditions. Thus, we determined that both the operating condition and position of the acquisition sensor affected the data acquired by the rotary machine.

드럼핵종분석시스템 통합제어

  • 드럼 속의 폐기물 안에 포함되어있는 방사성 물질의 함량을 비파괴적으로 측정하는 방사성폐기물 핵종분석시스템을 개발하여 고리원자력발전소 제4폐기물 저장고에 설치하였다. 시스템은 그 기능에 따라 상위레벨과 하위레벨로 나누어지는데, 상위레벨인 중앙감시 및 제어시스템 Part에서 전체 시스템을 원활하게 운전되도록 감시 제어를 하고, 하위 레벨에서는 드럼을 운반하는데 사용하는 크레인 운전 Part, 측정위치에 올려진 드럼을 분석하는 핵종분석 Part, 드럼 핵종분석 결과를 회전하면서 드럼 표면에 인쇄하는 Ink-jet Printer Part 로 구분된다. 상위레벨의 제어실내 감시제어 PC는 하위레벨과 RS-232C 멀티포트를 사용하여 통신을 하는데, 드럼의 반입에서 반출까지의 전 과정은 자동화되어 운전된다.

  • 지금까지의 컨테이너 터미널은 항만 하역작업에 주안점을 두고 운영되어 왔다. 그리하여 크레인 기술 향상, 장치장의 현대화 등 많은 노력을 해왔으나 21세기가 시작된 지금은 컨테이너 터미널 내부에 각각 이루어지던 작업이 통합되어진 형태로의 운영이 필요한 시점에 이르게 되었다. 국내에서 건설하려는 컨테이너 터미널은 지금까지와는 다른 형태로 건설되어야 한다. 현재 컨테이너 터미널 운영 시스템 터미널 내부에서 발생하는 전체를 총괄하지는 못한다. 크레인 모니터링, 게이트모니터링, 작업 상황 등이 모두 다르게 되어 있어서 하역작업에 관한 내용만을 모니터링하는 수준이다. 본 논문에서 서술하고자 하는 통합 모니터링은 컨테이너 터미널 내에서 관제실에서 크레인 운전 정보, 작업 지시, 상황 보고, 게이트 모니터링, 사고 예방, 사고 발생시의 경보 등을 모두 하나로 묶는 문제 파악에서 부터 해결 방안 제시 등, 첨단화된 지능을 갖춘 컨테이너 터미널을 구현하는데 필요로 하는 내용들을 서술하여 그 방법을 제시 하고자 한다.

  • The tall and slender main crane is generally installed on the upper deck to load and unload the equipment or something heavy in the drilling rig or the ship. So the natural frequency of the crane equipment is very low, therefore, there is some possibility of excessive vibration at the emergency state due to sudden stop during the crane operation. This study describes a fatigue assessment due to heavy vibration during brake test of sudden stop because it is necessary the safety of crane is estimated against the heavy vibration. In order to find out the applied force, the vibration measurement and analysis have been performed.
