A Basic Study on the Selection of Educational Contents for Cultivating Global Business Communication Competence (글로벌 비즈니스 커뮤니케이션 역량 배양을 위한 교육내용 개발에 대한 기초연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide basic data for the selection of educational contents when developing a course for cultivating global business communication competence. Reviewing previous studies on sub-elements of global competence, the researcher selected the sub-elements of global business communication competence. A survey was conducted on 148 employees of 20 companies regarding the importance of the sub-elements of global business communication competence. As a result, it was concluded that the sub-elements of relatively high importance-English email writing, reading and understanding of English materials and documents, telephone English, business English conversation, understanding of other cultures, communication skills, business knowledge-should be included in the educational contents of a course for cultivating global business communication competence.

  • This study examines a study of communication factor in Lunyu, as a communication text, in terms of communicator, audience, message, communication factor, communication text, interdisciplinary research. In many respects, it is generally accepted that Lunyu have been the generic references of the Oriental culture. Lunyu consider ethics, logic, and practicability as the qualifying requirement of communicator, asserting that communicator should speak true language, like a "chuntzu"(君子) does, and should also put their language into practice. The audience's attitude and method as contained in Lunyu are that hearers should have sharp ears for language, hear selectively the right language, and use the language suitable to the situation. It is also emphasized that the Hearer should actively lead in the situation of transactional communications. In Lunyu, one property of message is that language, which determines the rise and fall of a nation and is also the basis of judgement for other people, should comply with ethics and reasons and sould also be put into practice. In other words, credible message, as the practice of language, is the practical requirement of ethics and the qualification of a "chuntzu"(君子, superior man) in ruling the nation or conducting one's life.

The Moderating Effect of the Sports Activity Satisfaction in the relationship between Adolescents' Communication Skills and Positive Self-concept within Peer Group (청소년 또래집단 내 커뮤니케이션 능력과 긍정적 자아개념과의 관계에서 스포츠활동 만족도의 조절효과)

  • This research aims to verify the moderating effect of sports activity satisfaction in the relationship between adolescents' communication skills and positive self-concept within peer group. To achieve this purpose, this study extracted 250 samples from five boys high schools in Gyeonggi-do, and used survey of 232 students for actual analysis excluding the surveys with unfaithful answer or double entry. Questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting data and conducted frequency analysis, correlation analysis and moderator regression analysis to analyze the collected data. This study drew the following results. It was identified that sub-factors of sports activity satisfaction as social, physical, environmental and educational satisfaction have the moderating effect in the relationship between adolescents' communication skills and social self-concept with peer group. In other words, communication skills within adolescents' peer group play an important role in improving positive self-concept, but when sports activity satisfaction put as a moderating variable, adolescents' positive self-concept would be more improved.

A Study on Creative Teaching Methods using Blockchain Media (블록체인 미디어를 활용한 창의적 교수법 연구)

  • Recently, creative teaching methods have received a lot of attention in the university community. Creative teaching methods can maximize the effectiveness of the creative education through the voluntary participation of students. One of the most important skills in creative teaching methods is communication because many students are passive in their real classes. An economic reward system helps to improve students' communication skills because it motivates students to study harder. Therefore, a blockchain media based on an economic reward system can be useful teaching tools. This paper proposes a creative teaching method using blockchain media to improve communication skills. The proposed method consists of eight steps, and it was applied to classes for the last three years. The results show that the proposed method helps students improve their communication skills.

A Study of Image's Function and Utilization for Visual Communication (영상 커뮤니케이션을 위한 이미지의 기능과 활용에 대한 연구)

  • This thesis is a result of studying the combination of text and image based on the achievement of LTP (Literacy Through Photography), a communication education program for young people. This paper presents the LTP program that emphasizes communication functions of images and introduces the results of education conducted to improve the ability of visual communication for adolescents. Adolescents's creative images are analyzed on the basis of three categories of anchors, ealais and illustrations. The questionnaire was a quantitative survey of communication conducted before and after the LTP training. As a result, LTP education showed higher achievement in communication with adolescents when using images than text. In conclusion, this study gives meaning to image utilization education for creativity enhancement and present it as a new education by examining the LTP works and questionnaires of adolescents from communication point of LTP.

Factors of Influencing the Communication of Building Construction Field Organizations (건축공사 현장 조직 커뮤니케이션에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • The collaboration with members are very important things to manage the field organization in the building construction project. These collaborations are related with the communication in the organization, so the field organization ability could be advanced by improving the communication level. However, the research about communication in building construction field organizations has rarely studied. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the organizational factors to influence the communications in building construction field organizations. In this study, the leadership style of head managers and organizational cultural characteristics is determined the factors to influence the communication level by literature reviewing. The results of this study showed that the communication level is good when head managers in building construction site had an idealized influence style leadership and individual consideration style leadership. In addition, the good communicated field organizations had the higher characteristics of a consensus culture and development culture. This study is expected to help to improve the performance of the building construction field organizations.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 중소기업 CEO의 사내 기업가정신이 사업성과에 미치는 영향을 실증 분석하는 데 있다. 중소기업은 창업부터 성장하기까지 많은 위험요소에 노출되어 있으며 이러한 위험요소를 체계적으로 관리하고 극복하는 노하우를 쌓아 잘 활용하였을 때 경쟁시장에서 생존할 수 있다. 즉, CEO의 미래지향적이며, 창조적인 아이디어를 갖고 적극적으로 실행해보고자 하는 성향과, 위험 감수적인 기업가적 정신이 사업성과에 영향을 미칠 것이라는 가정하에 연구모형을 설정하였다. 이를 위해, 사내 기업가정신의 주요 구성요소를 '혁신성', '진취성', '위험감수성'을 독립변수로 하였고 사업성과를 종속변수로 설정하였으며, 선행연구를 기반으로 커뮤니케이션 스타일을 매개변수 채택하여 변수 간의 관계를 실증적 분석을 통하여 검증하고자 한다. 중소기업 CEO를 대상으로 하는 사내 기업가정신의 선행 연구 논문을 바탕으로, CEO가 강사인 대상으로 차별화하여 분석하고자 하였다. 또한 사내 기업가정신과 커뮤니케이션 스타일이 사업성과에 영향을 미치는지를 확인하여 사내 기업가정신의 중요성을 밝히고자 한다. CEO의 역량과 능력이 기업의 사업성과 향상에 미치는 영향요인을 분석하고, 강사가 CEO인 중소기업을 대상으로 강사의 커뮤니케이션 스타일이 조직 구성원과 사업성과 향상을 이끌어 내기 위한 참고자료로서 도움이 되고자 한다.

Development of Communication Education Program for Engineering Students (공학도를 위한 커뮤니케이션 교육 프로그램의 개발)

  • The purpose of this research is in developing a communication education program that will increase the communication abilities of engineering students and validating the effectiveness of this education program. To test for the effectiveness of the education program, pre and post test was conducted on students from college of science and technology in K University located in Cheonan. The experimental groups consisted of 37 students. The control group consisted of 34 students. The communication program comprised of eight modules and each module consisted of 100 minute session conducted once a week for total of eight weeks. Results showed that pre-test showed no difference between control and experimental groups. The results for the pre and post tests on the control group showed no significant difference. The results for pre and post tests in the experimental group showed significant difference. The results indicate that communication training program is effective in raising the communication abilities in engineering students.
