A Study on Change in Domestic Eco-friendly Consumption Issues - Applying LDA Topic Modeling Analysis - (친환경 소비 이슈 변화에 관한 연구 - LDA 토픽모델링 분석을 적용하여 -)

  • This study explores the issues of "eco-friendly consumption" through online media posts, and aims to identify changes in it. Total 6,812 blog posts on Naver, that included the words "eco-friendly consumption" and "eco-friendly lifestyle," published between 2005 and 2020, in five-year intervals, were analyzed. The results illustrated that consumption issues began with the identification of the causes of environmental problems however, "eco-friendly consumption" gradually gained importance, until it developed into preparing standards and alternatives for proper "eco-friendly consumption." In 2020, "eco-friendly consumption" values and ideal consumption practices were expanded into social movements. However, there is relatively little discussion on controlled and modest spending. Therefore, for the future direction of "eco-friendly consumption," it is necessary to thoroughly examine and highlight the agenda of controlled and modest living from a higher perspective.

  • This study is a convergent study on the awareness and purchasing behavior of eco-friendly consumers who engage in consumer activities in Gwangju Metropolitan City. A survey was conducted on 151 persons engaged in consumption activities in Gwangju Metropolitan City to analyze frequency, technical statistical analysis, principal components analysis, and correlation analysis. The convergence of awareness, interest, and satisfaction can be used as a supply forecast for the eco-friendly consumer market, including the convergence of eco-friendly consumer awareness and purchasing behavior.

  • This study has verified the consumer effectiveness market influence and relationship with cosmetic purchasing behavior through a covariance model. A female consumer in her 20s or older who had purchased eco cosmetics within the last six months and 300 copies were used for final analysis through panels of online professional research institutes from May 17 to May 30, 2020. As a result of the analysis, functional value, social value, and green consumption value were derived from the consumption value of eco cosmetics. Social value and green consumption value have been shown to have significant impact on consumer effectiveness and market influence but functional value relationships have not been identified. In addition, consumer effectiveness and market influence were found to promote eco cosmetics purchase behavior. Through this study we have identified the importance of perceived environmental issues (consumer effectiveness and market influence) in purchasing eco cosmetics and hope that they will be used as useful data for developing eco products and establishing marketing strategies based on understanding of consumers.

An Analysis of Consumer's Taste on Environment-Friendly Agricultural Products in Korea (우리나라 친환경 농산물에 대한 소비자 의향분석)

  • There has been an increasing public concern about environmental safety and human health of field crops while customer consumes more and more field crops, to which overdose and residual chemicals were applied. As a solution for the problems, construction of sustainable agroecosystem is spreading out to pursuit the economic value of agricultural management as well as to meet environment concern. Public has extended their understanding on the preservation of environment and safeness of agricultural products, and governmental policy toward sustainable agriculture drives rapid increase of the production of sustainable agricultural products. Under this circumstances, it is time to encourage more consumption and to activate market system for the sustainable agricultural products. This study was initiated to diagnose the problems and future direction of domestic sustainable agriculture by analyzing the overall opinions of consumer on the sustainable agriculture. The results are as follows: The pursuit of low input management is a prerequisite to creat high valued agricultural products, and serious consideration should be taken to produce clean crops using natural products. Consummers are willing to pay 10∼50% more prices if the products get certified by official eco-label programs. It is believed that practice of sustainable agriculture using biopesticide and natural pesticide would accelerate the rapid extension of this pro-environmental agricultural management. To activate production and consumption of sustainable agricultural products correct informations on safety should be addressed to customer, and confidence has to be brought about from customer. This could be done by obtaining various and efficient distribution route, product competency for quality, upgraded sales strategy, maximum utilization of certificate system, and practice of recall system, so on.

  • 오늘날 전 세계적으로 급격한 에너지 사용과 이에 따른 온실가스의 증가로 기후변화 현상이 세계 곳곳에서 나타나고 있다. 이러한 지구온난화는 산업화에 따른 에너지소비가 주요한 원인으로 꼽히고 있으며, 선진국에서는 에너지소비와 이산화탄소 방출을 줄이기 위한 노력을 적극적으로 추진하고 있다. 우리나라에서도 2013년부터는 온실가스 감축 의무 이행국에 포함될 것으로 예상되어 지속가능(sustainable)한 국가발전을 위한 노력을 기울이고 있으며, 저탄소 녹색성장을 화두로 적극 대처하고 있다. 우리나라는 세계10대 에너지 소비국이면서 97%의 에너지를 외국에 의존하고 있다. 더욱이 이산화탄소배출량은 세계9위를 차지하고 있다. 따라서 향후 선진국과 경쟁을 하기위해서는 산업구조를 시급히 개선하여 에너지 소비를 줄이고 이산화탄소 배출을 적극적으로 억제하여야 한다. 현재 국내에서 사용되는 전체 에너지 가운데 건물에서 소비되는 에너지는 약 40%정도를 차지하고 있다. 이에 따라 건물에서의 에너지 사용량을 줄이고 환경부하를 저감할 수 있는 친환경 건축물의 구축이 시급하며, 관련 기술 개발 및 실제 건축물에 적용을 위한 노력이 진행되고 있다. 친환경 건축 관련 기술은 오늘날 많은 신축 건물에 적용되고 있으나, 그 성능은 아직까지 미흡한 부분이 많다. 건축물의 설계단계에 환경성능 분석결과가 적절히 반영된다면 적은 노력과 비용으로 매우 우수한 친환경 건축물을 구축할 수 있다. 하지만 기존의 설계절차 및 성능분석 지원 시스템으로는 건축 설계단계에서 에너지 소비량을 포함한 친환경 성능을 분석하기에 많은 시간의 투입과 전문가의 도움이 필요하다. 다행히 최근에 이러한 건축물의 친환경 성능 분석에 건축정보모델링(Building Information Modeling, BIM)기술을 활용할 수 있는 연구가 진행되고 있다. 건축정보모델링은 컴퓨터를 이용하여 건축물의 설계 데이터뿐 만 아니라 관련 모든 정보를 모델링 하여 건축물의 설계단계부터 건물의 폐기단계까지 활용하는 기술이다. 이미 선진 외국에서는 활발한 연구가 진행되어 실무적용 단계에 있으며, 국내에서도 초기연구가 진행 중이다. 이러한 건축정보모델링 기술이 친환경 건축물 구축기술에 활용된다면, 친환경 건축물 구축 및 성능 향상에 많은 도움이 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 또한, 녹색 성장의 기반이 될 수 있는 건축물의 설계 및 시공, 유지관리가 가능해 질것이다. 따라서 이번 연재에서는 지속가능한 설계와 건축정보모델링을 활용한 건축 환경 성능을 분석에 관한 내용을 주제별로 다루고 그 사례를 살표보고자 한다.

The Empirical Research on Relationship of Consumption Value, Satisfaction, Trust, Loyalty of Green Product in Elderly Consumer (실버 소비자의 친환경 제품에 대한 소비 가치가 만족도, 신뢰, 충성도에 미치는 영향 - 하이브리드 카를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse how consumption value affects the loyalty of green product through satisfaction and trust among elderly consumers. Data were collected from a cross-sectional survey of 314 older adults (age≥60) in the U. S., who bought and possessed a hybrid car, a representative green product. The statistical methodology is employed a structural equation model. The results demonstrated several important findings. First, perceived social value among elderly population had significant effects on green product satisfaction, while hedonic value did not. Second, both perceived functional value and environment friendly value had a significant positive effect on trust in green products. Third, satisfaction with green products also led to trust in green products. Finally, trust in green products showed their significant effects on loyalty in green product. These results provide practical implications to improve the trust and loyalty in green products among the elderly consumers. Furthermore, by deriving major components of consumption values in green products among the elderly, and analyzing the mechanism of satisfaction, trust, and loyalty, the study emphasizes relationship marketing in implementing "green" marketing strategies.

A Study on the Effect of Awareness of Organic Farming on Environment-Friendly Agriculture Product Consumption and Revitalization (유기농업에 대한 환경성·공익성 인식과 친환경 농산물 소비 및 활성화에 관한 연구)

  • This study investigated the public's awareness and purchase behavior of organic farming and environment-friendly agriculture products. This study also analyzed whether awareness affects environment-friendly agriculture products' consumption and price resistance and support for the revitalizing organic farming. This study derived environmental and public interst in organic farming, and a web survey was conducted for statistical analysis. As a result, it was found that the awareness of organic farming did not affect the consumption of environment-friendly agriculture products, but in case of high awareness is high, the resistance to prices is low. In addition, it was found that the stronger the public's awareness, the more positive the support for the expansion of organic agriculture and the willingness to purchase environment-friendly agriculture products. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data for preparing measures to revitalize organic agriculture in the future.

  • School uniform recycling has gained increasing attention as one of the solutions for environmental problems and improvement of home economics. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of environment-friendly consumption consciousness, consumption behavior, and consumption value on attitude of school uniform recycling in adolescents. Using self-completion questionnaire, environment-friendly consumption consciousness, consumption behavior, and consumption value were examined in 426 middle- and high school female students in Seoul and Gyeonggi province. The results are as follows; first, although more than 60% students showed positive attitude for purchasing recycled school uniform, respondents have rarely been purchasing recycled school uniform. Second, environment-friendly consumption consciousness, consumption behavior, and consumption value of students had the significant effect on the attitude of school uniform recycling. Our results suggest that more efforts should be focused on the education of environment-friendly consumption consciousness and consumption behavior.

  • This thesis is surveying the notions and the countermeasures of the farmers, who produce environmental-friendly crops, on a market and buyers. It ultimately tries to find out ways to increase the sale and the consumption of environmental-friendly crops from the side of the farmers. In chapter 2, analyzing the reality of consuming environmental-friendly crops and consumers inclinations. Also, on the basis of this, in chapter 3, I demonstrate how environmental-friendly producers countermeasures for the consumers are. I try to analyze the trust of the consumer buying environmental-friendly crops, which have been pointed out as a decisive factor for environmental-friendly crops by a lot of researchers, and analyze producers methods dealing with consumers approach to consume environmental-friendly crops. Regarding ways of the reconsideration about the trust, I have shown the problems about the quality authentication, forming consumers trust, and the ways of the consumer management. For the channel and method of the sale I have scrutinized not only a farmers notion about an internet homepage and his or her use but also producers principal sales route, cognition, and correspondence about it. Finally, I have examined the counter plans of the producer to increase sale and to facilitate consumption.
