Prosthetic restorations through implants were popularized, and they became routine treatments. Small accessories used in the implant prosthodontic procedure are more likely to slip or fall off the dentist's hands. If the dental appliance or material passes into the upper gastrointestinal tract, there is a high possibility of excretion to the outside of the body without complications, but serious complications may occur depending on the type of foreign body. If the foreign body is passed to the airway, it is an emergency situation, and if it is not done properly, it can be fatal. The purpose of this review report is to investigate the process of foreign body ingestion or aspiration during dental treatment, and the method of prevention and treatment.

Recentrly, early dental care for children is becoming more important, and the number of children patients' dental services is on the rise. So, a variety of seduction therapies are needed to alleviate the tension in children who are anxious about dental care. This paper describes the development process and contents of system that can display the animation of different stories according to the treatment stage by grasping the use state of the treatment device in real time. In the animation, the hreo character and the villain, the cavity character, appear and the hero defeat the villain at each treatment stage. Animation is played when treatment starts and ends after treatment. Current existing one-side played animation of dental clinics is not enough to attract children's attention. If the flow of animation changes depending on the treatment process, it will give children a different enjoyment and consequently ease the tension over the treatment.

Despite preventative efforts, aspiration and ingestion of foreign bodies during clinical dental procedures occasionally occur. Careful clinical and radiographic examination and prompt emergency management can prevent potentially serious consequences. In this report, we describe a case of accidental foreign body ingestion and discuss prevention and management of dental instrument aspiration and ingestion.
This study was conducted to find out about the implementation status of dental treatment infection control standards of dental hygienists. The subjects of research were the dental hygienists working at dentist offices in Chungnam, Cheonan-si using self-input method from July 25th, 2012 to August 1st 2012. The collected data was analyzed after computerized statistical processing using SPSS 18.0. For hepatitis B vaccination, the results were high with 75.0% of answers being 'yes' or auto-active immunity, but for the latest hepatitis vaccination period showed highest results in '5 years or more ago' with 48.0%. Although 93.0% answered that vaccination was important, the percentage of replies that they had vaccination education was relatively low with 41.0%. For the use of personal protection tools the use of protective goggles was low compared to the use of masks and medical gloves. The percentage of subjects that answered that they always wash their hands before treatment was relatively low with 56.0% compared to 82.0% of subjects that answered that they always washed their hands after treatment. Dental treatment equipment washing before sterilization, use of packing and re-sterilization of tools with damaged packing showed high results for 'yes', but the ratio of subjects that answered 'no' to water line management was low with 39%.

In the area of pediatric dentistry, several behavior modification techniques have been attempted to relieve young patients' dental fear. The use of audio-visual(AV) aids is one of them and is increasing. In this study, several patients' reactions to dental treatment have been investigated after using AV aids, including patients' sleep, movement, crying and overall behavior. The effectiveness of AV aids have also been investigated through patients' age, previous dental experience and daily exposure to TV or video. Thirty healthy children with Frankl behavior rating (+) or (-) were included in this study. The average age of the children was $52.9{\pm}12.7$ months and no statistical difference was found between the two groups. Thirty patients were equally divided into two groups. Group I(control) received dental treatment with the conventional tell-show-do while group II(AV) with tell-show-do and AV aids. All patients received only restorative dental treatment and received no extraction. Houpt behavior rating scale was used to evaluate patients' behavior during the dental treatment. As a result, there was no significant difference between the two groups in movement and crying. However, more patients in the AV group fell asleep during the dental treatment compared to the control group. Within the AV group, patients with previous dental experience, older age and frequent exposure to AV materials showed better overall behavior during the dental treatment as audio-visual aids were used for behavior management.
To investigate the actual conditions management of infectious prevention in dental office, questionnaire about infection control and education of infection control was performed on 50 dentists, 176 dental hygienists, 100 aide nurses who are working in Deagu City from march to April, 2007. The results are as the following. Dentists are the highest on the health inspection's ratio, dental hygienists are the highest on vaccination's ratio. Experience ratio about education of infection control is the highest on dentist and the lowest on aide nurses(p < 0.05). Dental hygienists are higher than dentists and aide nurses on ratio of wearing protective gear(p < 0.05). Dentists have the highest ratio on washing hands after treat(p < 0.05). Practice of instrument's sterilization is higher in dental hygienist than other groups. Disinfection of equipment's surface practice mainly on bracket table, dental hygienist's ratio is the highest among the three groups.

The resistance to dentistry is as old as the history of dentistry. Historically, dental treatment techniques have continued to evolve to minimize pain with effective treatment, but the negative perception of dentistry has not been reduced as much as the development of technology. Particularly, children have a lack of resistance to external stimuli, mental development and patience, and the degree of cooperation with dental care is reduced due to changes in parenting methods including parental influence, so can experience DFA(dental fear and anxiety) and DBMP(dental behavior management problem). Among the various stimuli experienced by the child in the dentist, psychological factors affecting the dentist, dental clinic, and social factors affect the formation of the relationship with the dentist. Especially in recent years, the addiction related to smartphone is emerging as a social problem, and the effects of smartphone addiction on the oral cavity and the effects on dental behavior are examined.
This research was based on self-filling survey which 128 dental hygienists who work in dental clinic and dental hospital on May 2006 through July 2006. This survey was analyzed the prevention against virus infection in dental hygienist at medical treatment. As follows analyzed results The experience of get a hand pricked by an infected needle rate is 76.6 percent and the majority of the dental hygienist are sterilize by disinfectant after wash hand and draw blood. The most of dental hygienist are experienced the education of the prevention infection in student and they think that It is necessary to prevention infection in medical treatment. The proportion of use the glove and mask in medical treatment and disuse the glove after medical treatment and the mask when mask get damped is high but the rate of put on the goggle in medical treatment and use the glove in washing and re-treat is low irrespective of age, clinical career, work place. As a result of Independent-sample T Test, the Hygienist who have experience the education of the prevention against virus infection are more excellent work than in-experience group in medical treatment. So we can find that the experience of the education of the prevention infection is very significant to prevention infection in dental hygienist.

The characteristics of dental treatment makes the dental staff frequently contact with patient directly. Also the daily use of high-handpieces, sharp instruments, and needles often causes bleeding on oral cavity. Therefore, the risk of cross transmission grows up. The pathogen from dental practice could spread on not only the practice itself but also the dental laboratory with contaminated impressions and prosthesis. Dental clinic staffs (dentists, dental hygienists and dental technicians) should recognize all the patients have a possibility of cross contamination, and try to prevent the transmission of infection by proper infection control. In this study, we review the articles about disinfection methods and chemical infection agents used for dental impressions, and try to figure out the suitable and effective infection control system of dental impressions.
