청년실업과 대학졸업 유예

  • 청년실업이 심각한 사회문제로 대두됨에 따라 취업준비 등을 이유로 대학졸업을 미루고 있다는 지적이다. 4년제 대학의 휴학생 비율은 IMF 이전인 96년의 25%에 비해 2005년에는 무려 7%나 상승한 32%에 이르고 있다. 전문대학의 경우는 좀 더 심각하여 28%에서 37.9%로 상승해 무려 10% 가까이 상승했다고 한다. 휴학생의 비율은 청년실업문제의 심각성을 반영하다는 측면에서 간과해서는 안 될 문제이다. 여기에서 청년실업의 원인과 졸업 유예문제 및 대응방안에 대해 좀 더 깊이 살펴보기로 하자.

  • The purpose of this research is to present an opinion on the development of a systematic program for the training of talented students at domestic universities for overseas employment, effective usage of overseas field practice and internship, and the importance of the programs that can provide prepared future Taekwondo professional with the opportunities to be successfully employed by desired overseas institutes worldwide. The objects of research were 15 persons who experienced overseas internship. The results of the research obtained through in-depth interviews were; firstly, the merits and demerits of internship; secondly, the changes made after experiencing internship; and thirdly, what they want to say to their juniors who are preparing for internship.

  • The object of this study is the effects of a cosmetology education for career discontinuity women who receive a cosmetology education for reemployment on career preparation behavior, so I analyzed reemployment characteristics, cosmetology education satisfaction, and career preparation behavior for 300 women in thirties to fifties who receive a cosmetology education for reemployment. Reemployment women's reemployment characteristics are various according to age, level of education, major field, training period, and educational institution, and sub factors of cosmetology education satisfaction affects meaningfully to improve career preparation behavior. Especially, educational contents and consultation about getting a job and career casts a long shadow relatively to career preparation behavior, so educational contents and consultation service about getting a job and career are important to make reemployment rate through career preparation behavior high. Based on such factors, the study will fulfill students' demand in cosmetology educational institutions, will highlight the importance of an efficient cosmetology education for developing industrial settings once more, and will offer base line data of consultation service about getting a job and career that can make satisfaction and credibility of educational institutions high, so will help the development of a cosmetology education and career discontinuity women's reemployment.

A Study of Determinants Influencing the Economic Preparation for the Aging among People with Severe Disabilities (중증 장애인의 경제적 노후준비에 영향을 미치는 결정요인)

  • This study examined the aging of people with severe disabilities experiencing relative alienation and deprivation in an aging society to find ways to make them happy and economically stable. This study identified the determinants of economic preparation for aging among people with severe disabilities using the ecosystem perspective. For this study, data were drawn from Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled (PSED). A total of 950 samples were used from the eighth wave. Logistic regression analysis was conducted to examine the influence of various factors. As a result, age, level of education, employment, subjective socioeconomic status, self-esteem, income, homeowner, and non-beneficiaries affected the economic preparation for aging. These findings have practical and political implications concerned with improving the economic preparations for aging among people with severe disabilities.

Effect of University Students' Perceived Organizational Support and Employment Preparation Activities for their Awareness of Good Job (대학생의 조직지원인식과 취업준비활동이 좋은 일자리 인식에 미치는 영향)

  • Due to the recent deepening youth unemployment aftereffect, government, companies and universities seek a youth unemployment resolution method and jobs creating measures. But there are indications that the Good Job the university students prefer are limited and sudden rise of the youth unemployment rate mirrors the situation in Japan 20 years ago. Thus, based on the preceding research, this research attempted to perform comparative analysis on Korean and Japanese university students' employment preparation activities and perceived organizational support affect their Awareness of Good Job. To achieve the goal, 2013 GOMS 5,380 copies provided by Korea Employment Information Service are used in the case of Korea and total 5,636 copies within 256 questionnaires targeted to Japanese university students are used in the case of Japan. The results of analysis are as follows. The effect relationship between the perception of organizational support and awareness of Good Job showed a positive influence both in Korea and Japan. The effect relationship between employment preparation activities and awareness of Good Job showed a meaningful effect in Korea whereas it showed no effect in Japan. In the relationship between activities of employment preparation and awareness of Good Job, moderating effect of gender and major field of study didn't show any effect either in Korea or Japan. The results of this research are as follows. First, because it is verified that the support of university has positive influence on the university students' awareness of Good Job, it seems that universities need to intensify the support for the students' welfare enhancement, education satisfaction and the structural support system. Second, the gap of attitude of employment preparation activities and awareness of Good Job between Korea and Japan occurred due to the levels of social structure, welfare and wage differences in the two countries. Therefore, if measures of policy to resolve the welfare and wage gaps between conglomerates and smaller enterprises are enacted, the awareness of younger generations to the Good Job will show a corresponding effect.

The Effects of Social Support and Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy on Job-Seeking Stress among Nursing Students (간호학생의 사회적 지지, 진로결정 자기효능감이 취업스트레스에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the degree of social support, career decision-making self-efficacy, and Job-Seeking Stress of nursing students, and identify influencing factors of Job-Seeking Stress. A convenience sample of 228 nursing students was conducted from in three departments of nursing. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis using IBM SPSS 21.0 program. The higher the social support and career decision self-efficacy, the lower the Job-Seeking Stress. The factors influencing Job-Seeking Stress were social support, first hope career, job readiness, career decision-making self-efficacy, and the explanatory power of these variables for Job-Seeking Stress was 19%. Therefore, in order to prevent, cope with, and mitigate the Job-Seeking Stress of nursing students, it is necessary to develop and apply differentiated Career education programs to increase social support and career decision-making self-efficacy.

노동력수요의 중장기 전망-지식기반경제로의 이행-

  • 세계화 추세의 가속, 급속한 기술진보 및 정보화의 확산 등은 국제간의 분업구조 뿐만 아니라 국내의 산업구조 및 취업구조를 급격히 변화시키고 있다. 국내 취업구조의 변화는 산업간 직업간 취업비중을 모두 변화시키고 있어 고용의 양적 측면은 물론이고 질적 측면에서도 큰 변화가 예상된다. 그러므로 중장기적인 노동력수요 예측은 향후 인력양성의 방향과 체계를 결정하는 데 중요한 지표가 될 뿐만 아니라 노동시장 정책에 있어서도 반드시 필요한 자료가 되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 향후 노동력에 대한 중장기 수요를 일반균형적인 접근을 통하여 산업별 직업별로 예측하고 이 예측결과에 따른 향후 노동시장 및 인력정책의 방향을 제시하는 데 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 연구들이 사용한 방법의 이론적 약점을 보완하면서 실증 결과의 예측성을 높일 수 있는 개선된 방법을 사용하였다. 산업별 취업자를 전망하는데 있어 기존 연구결과들은 주로 노동시장의 단일방정식만을 추정함으로써 생산요소의 수요가 비탄력적이지 않음에도 불구하고 생산요소간의 대체가능성을 무시하고 있으며, 인력수요에 중요한 결정 요인인 기술변화를 고려하지 못하고 있거나, 취업계수의 변화를 통해 기술진보의 효과를 고려한다고 하여도 기술진보가 생산요소간에 비중립적(factor non-neutral technology changes)으로 일어날 경우 요소간 대체가능성을 간과하고있다. 이러한 단점을 보완하기 위해 본 연구에서는 산업별 취업자 전망에서 노동시장의 단일방정식 추정이 아닌 일반균형에 입각한 경제 모형을 사용하였다. 또한 직종별 취업자 전망을 위해서는 일반적으로 이용되는 필요 인력량에 대한 고정계수(fixed coefficient manpower requirement)를 추정할 때 이중비례행렬모형(二重比例行列模型)을 이용하여, 산업구조의 변화로 인한 직업별 인력수요 변화가 충분히 고려되도록 하였다. 전망의 결과에 따르면 향후 우리 경제는 지식기반경제(knowledge-based economy)로 이행하고 있다고 볼 수 있다. 우선 산업구조면에서 지식집약적산업으로의 구조조정이 일어나게 되고 이에 따라 산업별 취업구조에서도 고기술산업의 취업준비중이 급속히 증가하게 된다. 직업별 취업분포에 있어서도 전문기술직 행정관리직 등의 고숙련 사무직의 비중은 크게 증가하는 반면 생산관련직과 농림어업직의 비중은 감소하게 된다. 이처럼 경제가 지식집약화되어 감에 따라 고학력자에 대한 수요는 지속적으로 증가하지만 현재 적절한 인력양성과 공급이 이루어지지 않고 있어 향후 기술이나 기능에 따른 수급부일정(需給不一政)(skill mismatch)현상이 매우 심해질 것으로 보인다. 따라서 앞으로의 인력정책에서 가장 주안점을 두어야 할 부분은 첨단기술산업과 관련된 인력의 양성에 있다고 하겠다.

A Study on the Usefulness of NCS based Employment in Port Public Enterprise (항만공기업의 NCS 기반 채용 유용성에 관한 연구)

  • Being in the globally competitive environment, public port enterprises which accentuate on the employment of excellent talents to procure competitive advantage are introducing the NCS(National Competency Standards)-based employment system that focuses on job skills. This study mainly aims to analyze the actual status of NCS utilization among public port enterprises and its usefulness as well as performance. The appropriateness, efficiency, satisfaction, comprehensiveness and performance of the current NCS - based employment system were analyzed by using collected data from the recruiting officers and new employees as subjects. And eventually an improvement plan was suggested. The result of analysis shows that the appropriateness and satisfaction level of NCS - based employment system are generally high; while its effectiveness, applicants' recognition and acceptance level as well as performance are slightly higher. Moreover, the job capability and performance on the job of new employee selected by the NCS employment system were analyzed to be higher when the appropriateness and satisfaction level of that system is high. In order to establish NCS - based employment system, early formulation and implementation of job performance assessment system to evaluate the actual abilities and performance of job is necessary. This study suggested the NCS - based employment system is effective for public port enterprises to procure excellent talents, as well as being useful for job preparation of job seekers according to the job competencies requirement of the enterprises. Therefore, this study contributes to the proliferation of NCS - based recruitment system.

The Development and Effects of a Group Counseling Program for Adaptive College to Work Transition through Enhancing Coping Resources (대학-직장 이행을 위한 대처자원 향상 집단상담 프로그램 개발 및 효과성 검증)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and examine the effectiveness of 'Coping Resources Improvement Program' designed for emerging adults experiencing psychosocial difficulties during college to work transition. Based on transition model of Scholossberg(1995), the program was developed to intervene in 4S (Situation, Self, Support, Strategy) required in the transition. Participants included 31 job applicants who are senior or above and were assigned to the experimental group (N=10), comparison group (N=10), and control group (N=11). Data to verify effectiveness were collected pre-, mid-, and post treatment. Results indicated that the level of coping resources and psychosocial difficulties in the transition changed significantly after the program and those changes were still maintained after a month in the experimental group. However, there were no statistically significant changes on job-search burnout and career-adaptability in all groups. The implication and limitation of the study and the suggestions for the future studies were discussed.
