The Impact of e-Business Information System Quality on Customer Loyalty : An Empirical Study in the Field of Cyber Trading (e-Business 환경에서 정보시스템 품질이 고객충성도에 미치는 영향 : 사이버 증권 분야에서의 실증 연구)

  • The customer loyalty has been decreasing dramatically in e-Business environments such as cyber trading, shopping, banking, and portal services. However, little research has been done so far in order to analysis the newly emerging concept and changing nature of the e-Business customer loyalty. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the quality of e-Business information systems has any impact on customer loyalty. The quality, which is tee independent construct in this study, is divided into three variables: basic system quality, information contents quality, and service quality. Cyber systems of 40 domestic stock trading firms were chosen as target e-Business information systems Both online survey and traditional field survey were employed in order to collect data, and more than 8,000 cyber customers have responded. The results of statistical analysis show that all of three independent variables have statistically significant effects on customer loyalty and, among three variables, the basic system quality has the strongest impact.

The Effect of Relational Benefits on Customer Perception of Value, Satisfaction, and Loyalty in the Specialty Coffee Shop Business (커피전문점 고객이 지각한 관계혜택이 지각된 가치, 만족도 및 충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of relational benefits on perceived value in order to enhance customer satisfaction and win customer loyalty in the specialty coffee shop business. Structural equation modeling was performed and the structural model estimated with AMOS (ver 5.0). A total of 329 valid responses were used for data analysis. The findings show that confidence benefits among the relational benefits have a direct effect on perceived value. In addition, confidence benefits also have an indirect effect on customer satisfaction and loyalty from this perceived value. However, social benefits and special treatment benefits of customers had no effect on functional and symbolic value. In conclusion, establishing confidence benefits with the customer at the specialty coffee shop significantly influenced their perceptions of value, customer satisfaction, and loyalty.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the user satisfaction, royalty and compliant of a children's library Website. To achieve the aim of this study a modified Kim and Park's model of the user satisfaction index which consists of information quality, service quality, and system quality dimension is adopted. A total of 130 valid responses to the questionnaire were analysed using SPSS 18. It is found that the higher the user satisfaction gives the higher the royalty and the lower the compliant. For the contents quality dimension, the items of Usability, Accuracy, Easy of understand, Reliability and Up-to-date; for the service quality dimension, the items of Interface design, Reliability, Responsiveness, and Empathy; for the system quality dimension, the items of Response time, Interactive, Easy to access, and Easy to use show a significant relationships to the users' satisfaction.

  • Questionnaire data of 287 patrons of Tesco's Homeplus, Carrefour, Ermart, and Wal-rnart in the northern Daegu, Korea, using a structural equation model, were analyzed to investigate the hierarchical effects of values on discount store re-patronage intention as a measure of store loyalty, mediated by customers' evaluations of store associations. It was revealed that while customers' social affiliation value has a positive effect on store atmosphere evaluation, customers' self-actualization value has a positive impact on both after-sale service and employee services. It was also revealed that three associations such as access to a store, interior design, and employee services in their descending order have strong positive influences on the formation of customers' re-patronage intention. Theoretical and managerial implications are discussed in the conclusion.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine how Customer Value perceived by customers affected Customer Loyalty through Customer Satisfaction in Primary Care and to reveal the structural relationship of selected variables related to CRM. The major findings of the study were as follows: First, Convenience Value, Response Value and Reliability Value exerted an influence on Customer Satisfaction. Second, Customer Satisfaction affected Customer Loyalty that referred to Repurchase and Word-of-Mouth Intention. Third, Convenience Value, Response Value and Reliability Value had an effect on Repurchase through the perfect mediating role of Customer Satisfaction, and Convenience Value and Response Value exercised an influence on Word-of-Mouth Intention through the perfect mediating role of Customer Satisfaction. Reliability Value served to stir up Word-of- Mouth Intention even if there was no Customer Satisfaction.

  • This study analyzed the user behaviors of the electronic journal users and the influences of service quality of electronic journals on the customer satisfactions, customer loyalty, and frequency of visit to the library building. Approximately 60 percent of users prefer e-journal to printed formats. Service quality of electronic journal was measured by four dimensions: reliability of service, convenience of service, public relations, and user instructions.100 faculty members and 267 graduate school students were surveyed using questionnaires. It was concluded that each dimensions of service quality positively influenced on the customer satisfactions, and customer satisfaction positively influenced on loyalty, and negatively on frequency of visit to the library building.

  • The purpose of this research is to identify the relationship between EVLN and job insecurity of workers and to establish the mediating effect of perceived organizational obstruction in the relationship with job insecurity and EVLN. For the proof analysis of this research, a survey was done on 350 people on/off line. Summary of the result of the research is as follows. Perceived organizational obstruction has mediating effects in the relationship with job insecurity, exit, voice and neglect. This study contributes to the understanding of perceived organizational obstruction by developing an theoretical model, incorporating the role of job insecurity and EVLN. In conclusion, this study suggests that in the organization developing EVLN, job insecurity and improving workplace spirituality of employees needs to be considered for adaptation.

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationships among consumer lifestyle, brand attitude, brand attachment, and behavior pattern. Sampling with consumers who experienced eating out in regional catering companies as a population was done and the survey was conducted targeting consumers of catering companies in Gwangju. Therefore, it analyzed the sample by setting hypotheses and research model according to the research objective. First, as for the relationship between lifestyle and brand attitude, the lifestyle as a personal inclination formed a significant relationship with brand attitude the characteristics of which are recognition, convenience, and familiar features regardless of the type of lifestyle. Second, consumer lifestyle in types of reality seeking, value-oriented, and fashion-pursuing formed a significant relationships with brand attachment in order of mention, whereas social oriented type did not form a significant relationship. Third, the relationship between consumer brand attitude and brand loyalty formed a significant relation with the relationship between consumer brand attachment and brand loyalty.

  • The objectives of this study identify the factors that affect the quality of MTS services, to determine the effects of these service quality factors on customer's satisfaction and customer's loyalty. The results are as follows: First, The Four factors, i.e., tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, and assurance, represent statistically marginal significance in explaining the relationship between MTS service quality factors and customer's satisfaction. Second, The Five factors, i.e., rapidness, tangibles, responsiveness, empathy, and assurance represent statistically marginal significance in explaining the relationship between MTS service quality factors and customer's loyalty. Third, There are some differences in assurance/period of utilization, empathy/period of utilization in using MTS services according to social statistics. This article provides the paradigm of new convergence on IT and finance.

  • This paper investigated the effects of hotel chefs' personality and leader-member exchange(LMX) on innovative behavior. The sample for the study is 300 chefs extracted from four five-star hotels in Busan metropolitan area. Self-administrated questionnaires are distributed and 267 usable ones are collected and used for the analyses. The findings of the research are as follows, First, hotel chefs' personality consists of neuroticism, openness, friendliness, conscientiousness and extroversion. Second, hotel chefs' LMX consists of attachment, loyalty, a sense of contribution and respect. Third, hotel chefs' openness, considerateness, and leadership positively affect hotel chefs' LMX and hotel chefs' introversion negatively affect hotel chefs' LMX. Fourth, hotel chef's innovative behavior is affected by hotel chef's attachment, loyalty and respect.
