Development of Computer Program for the Arrangement of the Forest-road Network to Maximize the Investment Effect on the Forest-road Construction (임도개설(林道開設)에 있어서 투자효과(投資效果)를 최대(最大)로 하는 임도배치(林道配置)프로그램 개발(開發))

  • The object of this study is to develop a computer program for the arrangement of the forest-road network maximizing the investment effect in forest-road construction with factors such as terrains, forest physiognomy, management plan, logging system, cost of forest-road construction, capacity of inputted labour, capacity of timber production and so on. The operating system developed by this study is Korean Windows 95/98 and Microsoft Visual Basic ver. 5.0. User interface was designed as systematic structure, it is presented as a kind of GUI(graphic user interface). The developed program has result of the most suitable forest-road arrangement, has suitable forest-road density calculated with cost of logging, cost of forest-road construction, diversion ratio of forest-road, cost of walking in forest. And the most suitable forest-road arrangement was designed for forest-road arrangement network which maximized investment effect through minimizing the sum of cost of logging and cost of forest-road construction. Input data were divided into map data and control data. Digital terrain model, division of forest-road layout plan, division of forest function and the existing road network are obtained from map data. on the other hand, cost of logging related terrain division, diversion ratio of forest-road and working road, cost of forest-road construction, cost of walking, cost of labor, walking speed, capacity of inputted labor, capacity of timber production and total distance of forest-road are inputted from control data. And map data was designed to be inputted by mesh method for common matrix. This program can be used to construct a new forest-road or vice forest-road which compensate already existing forest-road for the functional forestry.

  • In order to obtain high accuracy with an convolutional neural network(CNN), it is necessary to set the optimal hyperparameters. However, the exact value of the hyperparameter that can make high performance is not known, and the optimal hyperparameter value is different based on the type of the dataset, therefore, it is necessary to find it through various experiments. In addition, since the range of hyperparameter values is wide and the number of combinations is large, it is necessary to find the optimal values of the hyperparameters after the experimental design in order to save time and computational costs. In this paper, we suggest an algorithm that use the design of experiments and grid search algorithm to determine the optimal hyperparameters for a classification problem. This algorithm determines the optima values of the hyperparameters that yields high performance using the factorial design of experiments. It is shown that the amount of computational time can be efficiently reduced and the accuracy can be improved by performing a grid search after reducing the search range of each hyperparameter through the experimental design. Moreover, Based on the experimental results, it was shown that the learning rate is the only hyperparameter that has the greatest effect on the performance of the model.

Application Plan of Goods Information in the Public Procurement Service for Enhancing U-City Plans (U-City계획 고도화를 위한 조달청 물품정보 활용 방안 : CCTV 사례를 중심으로)

  • In this study, a reference model is constructed that provides architects or designers with sufficient information on the intelligent service facility that is essential for U-City space configuration, and for the support of enhanced design, as well as for planning activities. At the core of the reference model is comprehensive information about the intelligent service facility that plans the content of services, and the latest related information that is regularly updated. A plan is presented to take advantage of the database of list information systems in the Public Procurement Service that handles intelligent service facilities. We suggest a number of improvements by analyzing the current status of, and issues with, the goods information in the Public Procurement Service, and by conducting a simulation for the proper placement of CCTV. As the design of U-City plan has evolved from IT technology-based to smart space-based, reviews of limitations such as the lack of standards, information about the installation, and the placement of the intelligent service facility that provides U-service have been carried out. Due to the absence of relevant legislation and guidelines, however, planning activities, such as the appropriate placement of the intelligent service facility are difficult when considering efficient service provision. In addition, with the lack of information about IT technology and intelligent service facilities that can be provided to U-City planners and designers, there are a number of difficulties when establishing an optimal plan with respect to service level and budget. To solve these problems, this study presents a plan in conjunction with the goods information from the Public Procurement Service. The Public Procurement Service has already built an industry-related database of around 260,000 cases, which has been continually updated. It can be a very useful source of information about the intelligent service facility, the ever-changing U-City industry's core, and the relevant technologies. However, since providing this information is insufficient in the application process and, due to the constraints in the information disclosure process, there have been some issues in its application. Therefore, this study, by presenting an improvement plan for the linkage and application of the goods information in the Public Procurement Service, has significance for the provision of the basic framework for future U-City enhancement plans, and multi-departments' common utilization of the goods information in the Public Procurement Service.

A Study on the Optimal Site Selection by Constraint Mapping and Park Optimization for Offshore Wind Farm in the Southwest Coastal Area (서남해 연안 해상풍력 발전단지 지리적 적합지 선정 및 최적배치에 관한 연구)

  • In order to effectively secure site suitability for the development of large-scale offshore wind farms, it is essential to minimize the environmental impact of development and analyze the conflicts of benefit between social, ecological, and economic core values. In addition, a preliminary review of site adequacy must be preceded in order not to collide with other used areas in the marine spatial plan. In addition, it is necessary to conduct local meteorological characteristics analysis including wind resources near Jeollanam-do area before project feasibility study. Therefore, wind resource analysis was performed using the observation data of the meteorological mast installed in Wangdeungnyeo near Anmado, Yeonggwang, and the optimal site was selected after excluding geographical constraints related to the location of the offshore wind farm. In addition, the annual energy production was calculated by deriving the optimal wind farm arrangement results suitable for the local wind resources characteristics based on WindSim SW, and it is intended to be used as basic research data for site discovery and selection of suitable sites for future offshore wind farm projects.

A Study on the Validity of the Infrastructure Construction Cost for the Commercialization of Online Electric Vehicles (온라인 전기자동차의 상용화를 위한 인프라 구축비용 타당성에 대한 연구)

  • This study aims to validate the cost of building the infrastructure to commercialize online electric vehicles. For that purpose, we probe the cost to construct the necessary infrastructure for online electric vehicles regarding Seoul area public bus transit. OLEV and PEV are considered as alternative electric vehicle schemes, and each of them has their own cons and pros in terms of rechargeable battery cost and charger cost. An optimization model which minimizes the cost to install online electric bus feeding devices is proposed in order to compare the total costs of the two alternative schemes. We developed a Mixed Integer Programming model to locate the feeding devices of several different lengths at each bus stops. Furthermore, we implemented a computer simulator to obtain the parameters which will be used in the MIP model and a Web-based system which determines the optimal location of infrastructure for the whole city area from a result of the MIP model. The cost comparison result shows that the total cost of OLEV is cheaper than that of PEV considering the real data of Seoul area public transit, and, as a result, confirms the feasibility of the commercialization of OLEV.

Planning of Alternative Forest Road Network Using GIS (GIS를 이용한 대안별 임도노망의 계획에 관한 연구)

  • This study was aimed at suggest a proper planning method to select a optimal forest road network in mountains forest using GIS(Geographic Information System). To examine the field applicability, the method was applied to the National Forest at Mt. Kumsan in Namhae-gun, Gyungsangnam-do. The main results from altogether six alternative road route plans were derived from these criteria obtained the alternative route plan No.2 has two layout criteria, longitudinal gradient and earth work volume, and it showed similar pattern of existing forest road network which was designed mainly ground slope and longitudinal gradient. The alternative route plan No.6 has four criteria, longitudinal gradient, earth work volume, investment effect and landscape impact. It was different for the lowest forest road density among the alternatives and the pattern of the forest road layout was radial form, which was also quite different to other alternatives. For optimal forest road network planning, GIS provide the efficient and resonable solutions for decision making to provide the support for evaluation about various alternative road networks. If detailed inventory and relevant data are provided and also clear and objective indicators for evaluations are set up, it could be applied to preliminary analysis and detail planning stage to prevent undesirable effect such the land slide and soil erosion due to inadequate planning for forest road network.

  • The human resource management is a very important thing to an airline call center. It may lead the call center to success or fail. The call center managers have to make appropriate decisions how many persons are inputted into the operation for each unit time and all day. In this study, a method is suggested to get an optimal staffing for each unit time using Integer Programming. The Integer Programming model can be used to solve the efficiency problem of the call center's staffing and scheduling. And call certer manager can adopt this model into the operations of the call center without any difficulties or modifications.

Optimum Design of Reinforced Concrete Outrigger Wall Opening Using Piecewise Linear Interpolation (구간선형보간법을 이용한 철근콘크리트 아웃리거 벽체 개구부의 최적설계)

  • In this study, a framework for optimizing the opening in an outrigger wall is proposed. To solve a constrained bounded optimization problem, an in-house finite element program and SQP algorithm in Python SciPy library are utilized. The openings of the outrigger wall are located according to the strut-tie behavior of the outrigger wall deep beam. A linear interpolation method is used to obtain differentiable continuous functions required for optimization, whereas a database is used for the efficiency of the optimization program. By comparing the result of the two-variable optimization through the moving path of the search algorithm, it is confirmed that the algorithm efficiently determines the optimized result. When the size of each opening is set to individual variables rather than the same width of all openings, the value of the objective function is minimized to obtain better optimization results. It was confirmed that the optimization time can be effectively reduced when using the database in the optimization process.

  • Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) is a technique that delivers a high dose to a target legion and a low dose to a critical organ through only one or a few irradiations. For this purpose, many mathematical methods for optimization have been proposed. There are some limitations to using these methods: the long calculation time and difficulty in finding a unique solution due to different tumor shapes. In this study, many clinical target shapes were examined to find a typical pattern of tumor shapes from which some possible ideal geometrical shapes, such as spheres, cylinders, cones or a combination, are assumed to approximate real tumor shapes. Using the arrangement of multiple isocenters, optimum variables, such as isocenter positions or collimator size, were determined. A database was formed from these results. The optimization procedure consisted of the following steps: Any shape of tumor was first assumed to an ideal model through a geometry comparison algorithm, then optimum variables for ideal geometry chosen from the predetermined database, followed by a final adjustment of the optimum parameters using the real tumor shape. Although the result of applying the database to other patients was not superior to the result of optimization in each case, it can be acceptable as a plan starling point.

방사선 수술시 자동적인 선량분포의 최적화를 위한 예비 연구

  • 목적 : 방사선 수술의 목적은 병소에 최대한의 방사선을 조사하고, 주위의 정상조직에는 가능한 적은 양의 방사선을 조사하는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 만족시키기 위해 방사선 수술계획자는 계획시 isocenter의 위치와 개수, 콜리메이터 크기를 변화시켜 가며, 주어진 병소에 맞는 선량분포를 획득해 방사선 수술효과를 최대화시키는 수술계획을 수립한다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 모양의 병소에 대해 자동적으로 isocenter를 위치시켜 수술 계획시 도움이 될 수 있도록 임의의 병소 모델들에 대해 위의 변수들을 변화시켜 가며 얻어지는 선량분포를 비교 분석하였다. 방법 : 본 연구에서는 임의로 정의한 계산 영역내에 다면체를 병소로 가정하여 연구를 수행하였다. 방사선 수술시 하나의 isocenter에서 얻어지는 선량분포는 구형으로 근사할 수 있으므로 하나의 isocenter를 구로 근사하여, 각 병소 모델 내에 콜리메이터 크기를 변화해가며 가능한 많은 영역을 포함하도록 isocenter를 배치시켰다. 이후 구형선량모델을 사용해 선량분포를 획득하여 병소와 정상조직간의 DVH(Dose Volume histogram)와 각 병소 모델에 대한 통일 평면상의 선량분포를 비교 분석하였다. 결과 ; 임의의 다양한 종양 모델에 대한 50%의 등선량 곡선내에서 세 가지의 빔관련 변수들을 변화시킨 결과, 종양이 없는 정상 조직에서는 선량분포가 극히 낮았으며, 콜리메이터의 크기에 따른 isocenter 의 개수가 변화하는 것을 확인할 수 있었고, 이 경우 한 종양모델에서의 깊이에 따른 선량 분포는 크게 차이가 나지 않았다. 그리고, isocenter의 개수가 변화함에 따라 선량곡선이 변하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 결론 : 빔관련 변수인 콜리메이터 크기, isocenter 개수, 거리등은 어느 일정 정도를 넘기면, 병소내 선량 분포에 크게 기여하지 않는다는 점을 감안하여 빔관련 변수들을 최소로 고려하므로써 계획시 소모되는 시간 과 노력을 많이 줄일 수 있을 것이며, 또한 각 병소 모델에 대한 최적의 구형선량모델에서 공통적인 규칙성을 찾는 것과 실제 병소의 모양을 간단한 모양으로 근사화 시킨다면 자동적 선량모델을 이루는데 많은 도움이 되고, 이로 인해 효율적인 치료계획작업이 이루어질 것이라 사료된다.
