A Study on the Minimum Engine Propulsion Power Required for Safe Navigation of Small and Medium Ships (중소형 선박의 안전항해를 위한 주기관 최소출력에 관한 연구)

  • The Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) introduced by the Marine Environment P rotection Committee(MEPC) in International Maritime Organization(IMO) has significantly assisted in regulating CO2 emissions. However, in adverse weather conditions, it can lead to accidents due to slow steaming of vessels and low engine propulsion power. In response to this issue, the MEPC presented guidelines for the minimum propulsion power of the main engine for maintaining the course of vessels in adverse weather conditions. However, the guidelines are only applicable for vessels with a deadweight of 20,000 tons, leaving out small and medium ships. This study evaluated vessels subject to the guidelines of minimum propulsion power and proposed revised guidelines. In addition, relevant cases of marine accidents were investigated with the aim of investigating the minimum propulsion power of main engine for medium and small ships not covered by the guidelines. In order to achieve this, engine propulsion power was analyzed according to the size of the affected vessels. The results obtained from this study could be used as a minimum power criterion that can be considered for ship building to reduce marine accidents in adverse weather for small and medium ships.

  • 본 논문은 후술할 다출력 스위칭 회로의 최소성 기준(Criteria of Minimality)에 의한 최소의 다출력 스위칭 회로를 설계하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 이에는 단일 출력 스위칭 함수에 적용된 바 있는 Direction of Adjacency Table 방법이 다소 변경되어 다출력 스위칭 회로에 적용되었다. 이르 위하여 기존의 Direction of Adjacency Table을 다출력 함수의 최소화에 적합하도록 변경한 Extended Direction of Adjacency Table이 구성된다.

Field Test for Performance Evaluation of a Tubular Turbine in Marine Small Hydro Power Plant (해양소수력발전소 튜블러 수차 성능평가를 위한 현장시험)

  • This study includes field test results for performance evaluation of a tubular turbine in marine small hydro power plant. Minimum output power of the tested turbine generator is examined with using of the measured effective head, output power and efficiency. For the rated and maximum output power tests, corrected values from the result of turbine model test are used for the performance evaluation, because experimental conditions of field test at the rated and maximum output powers are restricted correctly. Performance of the test turbine shows good conformance with the suggested guarantee values of output power and efficiency at the measured points of minimum, rated and maximum output power.

  • The transient analysis for the output voltage of a piezoresistive microaccelerometer takes a relatively high computation time because at least two iterations are required to calculate the piezoresistive-structural coupled response at each time step. In this study, the high computational cost for calculating the transient output voltage is considerably reduced by an approach integrating the mode superposition method and the least square method. In the approach, data on static displacement and output voltage calculated by piezoresistive-structural coupled simulation for three acceleration inputs are used to develop a quadratic regression model, relating the output voltage to the displacement at a certain observation point. The transient output voltage is then approximated by a regression model using the displacement response cheaply calculated by the mode superposition method. A high-impact microaccelerometer subject to several types of acceleration inputs such as 100,000 G shock, sine, step, and square pulses are adopted as a numerical example to represent the efficiency and accuracy of the suggested approach.

  • In this paper, we are concerned with the problem of generating fault-detection experiment for combinational logic networks with fan-out. We establish the lower limit on the necessary number of fault-section tests and show how such experiments can be obtained by considering inversion parity from the output to the point whore fan-out exilts on the networks. Boolean difference is used advantageously.

천이노심 DNBR 벌점 평가방법 개선

  • 기존의 천이노심 DNBR 벌점 평가 방법을 개선하여 불확실도를 줄이고 신뢰도를 향상시키며, 적용범위를 확대함으로써 보다 실제적인 DNBR 벌점 평가 방법을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 영광 1호기 JDFA-V5H 의 천이노심을 대상으로 하는 일련의 분석이 수행되었다. 먼저 균일노심과 천이노심을 모형화 한 기준 제어군에서의 상대적인 물성치의 변화와 축방향에서의 DNBR 거동을 분석하였고 이에 따른 최소 DNBR 의 상대적 차이로부터 최대 럴점 조건 및 벌점이 적용되는 집합체를 선정하였다. 변수 민감도 분석 결과, 최대 벌점 조건은 과출력 (120% 출력), 고압 (2420 psia) 그리고 상부노심에서 상대출력이 많은 축방향 출력 분포를 갖는 조건이 선정되었고 천이노심 벌점은 V5H에만 부과된다. 천이노심 DNBR 벌점은 배열 민감도 분석을 통하여 노심내 V5H 분율의 함수로 표현됨을 알 수 있었으며, 기존의 보수적인 방법론에 비해 최소 3% 이상의 천이노심 벌점이 감소되는것으로 나타나 추가적인 여유도의 확보로 인한 설계의 탄력성을 기대할 수 있다. 이 결과는 IFM이 존재하는 원전연료 집합체 상부에 대하여 노심의 V5H 분율이 0.02 부터 1.0 까지의 정상 및 과도상태 노심에 대하여 적용할 수 있다.

Design of CNN Chip with Annealing Capability (어닐링 기능을 갖는 셀룰러 신경망 칩 설계)

  • The output values of cellular neural networks would have errors because they can be stabilized at local minimums depending on the initial states of each cell. So, in this paper, we design the $6\times6$cellular neural networks with annealing capability which guarantees that the outputs reaches the global minimum to have correct output values independent of the initial states of each cell. This chip is designed using a $0.8\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS technology The designed chip contains about 15,000 transistors and the chip size is about $2.89\times2.89\textrm{mm}^2$. The simulation results of edge extraction and hole filling using the designed circuit show that the outputs values would have errors in un-annealed case, but not in annealed case. In the simulation, the annealing time of $3\musec$ is employed.

단순 노외계측기 교정법

  • 노심 외각에 설치되어 노심 외각으로 누설되는 중성자를 검출하여 노심내의 출력 변화를 지시해 주는 노외계측기(Excore Detector)는 운전중 노심의 변화를 정확히 감지하도록 정기적으로 교정되어져야 한다. 노외계측기는 노내계측기(Incore Detector)를 통하여 측정되어진 축방향 출력편차(Axial Offset)를 이용하여 교정하고 있다. 기존의 방법은 노내계측기로 최소한 4회 노심 출력을 측정하여 최소자승법(Least Square Method)으로 상수들을 구한후 노외계측기를 교정한다. 여기서 소개되는 단순 노외계측기 교정법은 노내계측기로 2회 측정되어진 자료들을 이용하는 2점 교정법과 1회 측정되어진 자료들을 이용하는 1점 교정법으로, 계측기 반응상수(Detector Response Factor)를 계산한후 교정되어진 노외계측기의 출력편차를 측정값과 비교하였다. 위의 두가지 방법을 고리 3호기 9주기, 10주기에 적용하여 노심 운전영역(~$\pm$10%)에서 2점 교정법은 최대 1.40 %, 1점 교정법은 최대 0.63 %의 오차를 보여주고 있다. 단순 노외계측기 교정법은 노심출력을 1회 또는 2회 측정하므로 교정시간을 줄이고 제어봉의 사용을 억제하여 방사성 폐기물을 감소시키는 효과와 기존의 교정 방법과 같은 정확성을 기대할수 있다.

  • It has known that the DCMP(Directionally Constrained Minimization of power)and the ZF(Zero Forcing) can improve the SINR performance of an array antenna system by using spatial signature of wireless channel. This paper analyzes performance of DCMP and ZF in multiple scattering environments. To obtain the spatial signature of wireless channel. bothe DOA(Directional of Arrival) and AS(Angular Spread) of the received signals were estimated by using ESPRIT. The performance of the DCMP and the ZF was analyzed theoretically. Through computer simulation, the SINR performance were evaluated.

Progress of the 2013 Interim Guidelines for Determining Minimum Propulsion Power to Maintain the Manoeuvrability of Ships in Adverse Conditions (황천 시 최소추진출력 관련 IMO 잠정 가이드라인의 진행 현황과 적용 결과 검토)

  • Literature survey was conducted on the 2013 Interim Guidelines for determining the minimum propulsion power to maintain the manoeuvrability of ships in adverse conditions. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) documents related with the Guidelines were reviewed. Compatibility of the present Guidelines can be checked by two different levels: (Level 1) minimum power lines assessment and (Level 2) simplified assessment. The IHS (Information Handling Services) sea-web data on the bulk carriers and the tankers, which were built after 2000, were used to examine the Level 1 assessment. KVLCC2 was used to examine the Level 2 assessment. Regarding the Level 2 assessment, effects of the adverse weather conditions, the added resistance due to waves, the wake fractions and the thrust deduction factors were discussed.
