A Study on Determination of Cable-Tension Using Unstrained-Length-Modification Method (초기길이 수정법(ULMM)을 이용한 케이블 장력 결정에 관한 연구)

  • This study presents the ULMM(unstrained-length-modification method) to determine the cable tension consistent with target tension after arrangement of cable-members by controlling the unstrained length of cables. This method used to be shown to determine the exact unstrained length for cable-supported bridge with elastic catenary cable. The some verification examples show to determine the unstrained length that satisfies the target tension and to obtain the satisfactory result for cable-supported bridge. Accordingly this modification method of the unstrained length in this study is used to introduce the satisfactory target tension.

Determination of Initial Tension and Reference Length of Cables of Cable-Stayed Bridges (사장교의 케이블 초기장력 및 기준길이 결정에 관한 연구)

  • This study presents the shape iteration method and the updated Lagrangian methods to calculate the initial tension and the reference length of cables of cable-stayed bridges. The girders and towers of cable-stayed bridge are modelled as 3-dimensional frame elements and the cable as nonlinear truss element or Ernst's cable element. Compared with the initial tensions of cables by finite element method in this study and by trial-and error method in practices, the tensions by the former are shown to be a little less than the those by the latter. The reference lengths of cables by Ernst's cable elements are almost consistent with those of cables by nonlinear truss elements. And the reference length of cables in this study are almost consistent with the arc length of beam with the same initial tension. Therefore the reference lengths of cables in cable-stayed bridges are shown to be obtained simply by the theory of beam with the initial tension calculated in this study.

확산대역통신의 부분상관 동기방식

  • 본 고는 확산대역 시스팀에서 많이 사용되고 있는 상관기를 이용한 초기동기 장치의 하드웨어 복잡성과 초기동기에 소요되는 시간을 줄일 수 있는 부분 상관기를 제안하고 이의 성능을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 분석하였다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 입력 SNR 에 따라서 부분상관기의 출력값을 분별지수로 구함으로써, 통신환경에 따른 적절한 부분 상관기의 길이를 구할 수 있었다. 즉 통신환경의 변화에 대해서 초기동기에 소요되는 시간과 하드웨어의 복잡성을 최대한 줄일 수 있는 상관기의 최적 길이를 구할 수 있었다.

  • 고속도로의 교통혼잡을 관리하기 위해서는 근본적으로 혼잡지점 상류부의 진입교통량을 제어해야 한다. 이를 위한 효과적인 램프미터링 운영전략이나 고속도로 교통정보제공방안을 수립하기 위해서는 혼잡영향권(대기행렬길이)에 관한 신뢰성 있는 데이터가 반드시 필요하다. 고속도로의 대기행렬길이를 산정하기 위해 일반적으로 충격파이론과 Queueing이론을 제시하고 있다. 그러나, 기존의 충격파 이론을 포물선형의 교통량-밀도관계식을 근거로 하고 있어 충격파간에 발생하는 부수적인 충격파를 해석하는 과정이 수학적으로 불가능하여 실질적인 목적으로 사용할 수 없음은 이미 잘 알고 있는 사실이다. 최근에 이러한 한계를 극복할 수 있는 새로운 방법으로 교통량 밀도간의 관계식을 삼각형으로 가정하고 교통량 대신에 누적교통량을 사용하는 Simplified Theory of Kinematic Waves In Highway Traffic이 개발(Newell, 1993)되었지만, 이 방법을 적용하기 위해서는 기본적으로 대상 고속도로 구간의 교통량-밀도관계식을 규명해야 하는 어려움이 있다.(사실 실시간으로 밀도데이터를 수집하기란 불가능하다.) Queueing이론에서 제시하는 대기행렬은 모두 대기차량이 병목지점에 수직으로 정렬하여 도로를 점유하지 않는 Point Queue(혹은 Vertical stack Queue)로서 실제로 도로상에 정렬된 대기행렬(Real Physical Queue)과는 전혀 다르다. 이미 입증된 바 있어, Queueing이론을 이용함은 타당성이 없다. 이러한 사실에 근거하여 본 연구는 고속도로 대기행렬길이를 산정할 수 있는 모형개발을 위한 기초연구로서 혼잡상태의 연속류 특성을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해, 본 연구에서는 서울시 도시고속도로에서 수집한 실제 데이터를 이용하여 진입램프지점의 혼잡상태에서 대기행렬의 증가 또는 감소하는 과정을 분석하였다. 주요 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 혼잡초기의 대기행렬은 다른 혼잡시기에 비해 상대적으로 급속한 속도로 증가함. 2. 혼잡초기의 대기행렬의 밀도는 다른 혼잡시기에 비해 비교적 낮음. 3. 위의 두 결과는 서로 관계가 있으며, 혼잡시 운전자의 행태(차두간격)과 혼잡기간중에도 변화함을 의미함. 4. 교통변수 중에서 대기행렬길이를 산정하는데 적합한 교통변수를 교통량과 밀도로 판단됨. 5. Queueing이론에서 제시하는 대리행렬길이 산정방법인 대기차량대수$\times$평균차두간격은 대기행렬내 밀도가 일정하지 않아 부적합함을 재확인함. 6. 혼잡초기를 제외한 혼잡기간 중 대기행렬길이는 밀도데이터 없이도 혼잡 상류부의 도착교통량과 병목지점 본선통과교통량만을 이용하여 추정이 가능함. 7. 이상에 연구한 결과를 토대로, 고속도로 대기행렬길이를 산정할 수 있는 기초적인 도형을 제시함.

A Simplified Analysis Method for Determining an Optimized Initial Shape of Cable-Stayed Bridges (사장교의 최적 초기형상 및 무응력길이 결정을 위한 간략해석법)

  • A simplified analysis method is first proposed in order to determine an optimized initial shape of cable-stayed bridges including all unstrained element lengths without using complicated nonlinear FE analysis. The unstrained-length based FE method is then presented using the unstrained lengths by the simplified analysis. To demonstrate validity and accuracy of the proposed method, Incheon bridge model having the fabrication camber is constructed and initial shaping analysis is performed using the presented method and commercial finite element analysis program, MIDAS. Resultantly it is shown that the initial solutions by the proposed algorithm are well optimized and in good agreement with those by MIDAS except for axial displacements of the main member.

Resistance Curves of Propagating Cracks for Concrete Three-Point Bend Specimens (콘크리트 삼점 휨시험편의 성장하는 균열에 대한 저항곡선)

  • From measured responses of concrete three-point bend tests, the average values of the responses have been calculated. The fracture behavior of continuously propagating concrete crack has been analyzed from the average responses. The experimental parameters of this study were the initial notch sizes of 25.4㎜ and 6.4 ㎜ and the processing times of 2,000 sec. and 20 sec . The different notch sizes were used for the effects of the size of fracture process zone and specimen geometry, and the processing times for those of initial creep. However the load-point displacement rate in this study did not affect the experimental responses seriously. The average loads were calculated from the average external work of a series of tests, and average crack lengths were determined by using strain gages. Before the peak load, the resistance curve could be determined from the size of fracture process zone, but unstable crack propagation of 88㎜ occurred at the load-point displacement of 0.088∼0.154㎜ after the peak load. The average fracture energy density G$\_$F/$\^$ave/ = 115 N/m occurred during the unstable crack propagation. The fracture process zones were fully developed at the crack length of 111㎜, and the sizes of fracture process zone for initial notches of 25.4㎜ and 6.4㎜ were 86㎜ and 105㎜, respectively. Average fracture energy densities of the resistance curves after full development of fracture process zone were 229 N/m for the initial notch of 25.4㎜ and 284 N/m for 6.4㎜. The values were more than twice of G$\_$F/$\^$ave/.

  • The experiment was carried out to make clear the root characters and relationships among some quantitative characters of soybeans. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. Stem diameter was shown the greater growing in thickness after one month from sowing than the earlier stage, and the greater growing was shown in fertile bed soil than in sand soil. 2. The elongation of plant top in soybean plant was also shown the greater rate in bed soil than in sand soil 3. The length of plant root was longer than the length of plant top in the earlier stage of growing, and the length of root was much greater in sand soil than in fertile bed soil. 4. Weight of plant top was shown more in bed soil than in sand soil, but this tendency was shown more greater rate in the length of plant top than in weight of plant top. 5. Weight of root was more compared with weight of plant top in the earlier stage of growth, and also more greater rate was shown in sand soil than in fertile bed soil. 6. Highly significant correlations were shown among five quantitative characters, namely stem diameter, length of top, weight of top, length of root and weight of root, etc.

영광 3호기 가연성흡수봉 종류에 따른 노심특성 분석

  • 노심설계에서 현재 사용되는 일체형 가연성 흡수봉인 Gd, ZrB$_2$ 그리고 Er의 한국표준형 원전 노심 설계에의 타당성을 노심 F$\Delta$H 제어, 저누출 장전모형 설계, 농축도/주기길이 그리고 주기말의 잔존 페널티 등의 측면에서 분석하였다. 초기노심의 경우는 영광 3호기 1주기 장전모형에 동일 연료집합체를 사용한 Gd/ZrB$_2$/Er의 경우와 ZrB$_2$/Er 최적장전모형에 동일 연료집합체를 사용한 경우에 대하여 분석하였다. 평형노심은 Gd/ZrB$_2$/Er 모두 동일한 장전모형을 사용한 18개월 주기길이의 노심에 대하여 동일한 농축도에서의 주기길이차이와 동등 주기길이를 내는데 필요한 농축도 요구량에 대하여 분석하였다. 초기노심 평형노심 모두 F$\Delta$H 제어에는 ZrB$_2$/Er가 Gd보다 유리하였으며, 저누출 장전모형의 설계에도 ZrB$_2$와 Er가 Gd보다 유리하였다. 평형노심에서 동일한 주기길이를 내는데 요구되는 농축도는 ZrB$_2$에 비하여 Er는 0.182 w/o Gd는 0.063 w/o 높게 나타났으며 동일 농축도를 사용할 경우 주기길이는 ZrB$_2$에 비하여 Gd는 165 MWD/MTU 그리고 Er은 575 MWD/MTU가 짧게 나타났다. 따라서, F$\Delta$H 제어와 저누출 장전모형은 설계에는 ZrB$_2$와 Er가 Gd보다 유리하였으나 Er의 경우 주기말에서의 잔존 페널티가 매우 크다는 단점이 있다.

  • In the CDMA mobile communication system with asynchronous mode among base stations, the initial PN code acquisition method using a matched filter can be considered for the rapid PN code synchronization acquisition in the handoff region. In the model of the noncoherent QPSK/DS-SS under the Rayleigh fading channel, the mean acquisttion time of the matched filter is analyzed to have a shortened time in proportion to the length of matched filter to be compared with the serial correlation method. In this paper to improve the HW complexity of the conventional matched device which enables the repeated correlation process, is designed and its function is verified through the FPGAsimulation using Altera MaxPlus Ⅱ.

Influence of implant diameter and length changes on initial stability (임플란트의 직경과 길이 변화가 초기 안정성에 미치는 영향)

  • Statements of problem: Adequate bone quality and quantity were important to achieve initial stability and to prevent early failures. However there were few published data available regarding the actual effect of dimensional change in implant geometry on initial stability. Purpose: The purpose of the current study was to investigate the influence of diameter and length changes on initial stability of implants. Material and methods: Four types of dummy bone (D1, D2, D3 and D4) consisted of cortical and cancellous layers with different thickness were simulated. Implants which had similar surface area to each other ($3.5{\times}13.0-mm$, $4.0{\times}11.5-mm$, $4.5{\times}10.0-mm$, $5.0{\times}8.5-mm$) were inserted in dummy bones. Implant stability as a function of peak insertion torque and resonance frequency values were recorded for each implant. Results: 1. Bone quality was a major influential factor to achieve initial stability (P <.05). 2. In D1, D2 and D3 dummy bones, implant stability quotient values were not significantly different to each other (P >.05), however insertion torques were increased with wider and shorter implants (P <.05). 3. In D4 dummy bone, implant stability quotient values and insertion torques were decreased with wider and shorter implants (P <.05). Conclusion: From a point of view of initial stability, it is suggested that use of wide and short implant may be helpful in avoiding bone augmentation procedures in area of adequate bone quality.
