  • In this paper, we propose mobile ad hoc network configuration and its autonomous network construction method for efficiency and scalability of media streaming for mobile smart devices. To provide scalable network configuration for streaming traffic distribution, an IEEE 802.11 infrastructure network and ad hoc networks are hierarchically built. The proposed method autonomously configures a hierarchical streaming network by competition based on performance and states of devices and the wireless network, not depending on any specific nodes. Finally, we conduct performance measurement for the proposed configuration and analyze the experimental result.

  • While Korea became one of manufacturing powers in the world through a fast-follower strategy as well as implementing the approach of advancing manufacturing business focused on quantitative input, The advent of the fourth industrial revolution and demand becoming more complicated than ever both require a system that quickly detects the change of markets in advance and reflects it in the manufacturing strategy. Accordingly, the introduction of a smart factory is not optional but mandatory in order to strengthen the competitiveness of manufacturing business using ICT. This paper aims to investigate key factors having influence on the intention to continuously use a smart factory, the innovative IT device, on the basis of the technology acceptance model. This paper analyzed the influence of the leadership of CEO, organizational learning and perceived switching costs on the intention to continuously use a smart factory by the parameters of perceived ease of use and usefulness, the major belief valuables of the IT acceptance model.

  • The most commonly used navigation systems work on Windows CE platforms. Linux-based embedded terminals have price competitiveness, because Linux is a free operation system. In order to develop map services on Linux-based embedded terminals, there were a number of technical hurdles that had to be resolved. Since the Linux-based embedded terminals is a low power, low cost, and small size platform with low processing capabilities, we must have developed the spatial database engine that minimize the number of disk accesses. We solved problems that are the processing korean language and the lack of debugging tools on Linux. In this paper, we has developed the spatial database engine and user interfaces on hand-held terminals based on embedded Linux for implementing the location based map system With view of this implementation results, we confirmed the possibility of using our embedded linux terminal as telematics terminals or navigation terminals.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of job stress and resilience on burnout of nurses who take care of patients with COVID-19 in prolonged pandemics. Structured questionnaires were distributed and analyzed for 162 nurses. Inadequate compensation of job stress, job demands, workplace culture, philosophical patterns of resilience, and relational patterns were statistically significant. As a result of determining the effect of job stress and resilience on burnout through the Stepwise multiple regression analysis, the final significant variable was job stress. The burnout of nurses can affect the quality of nursing services, reduced hospital competitiveness, and even quarantine systems. Therefore, this study suggests that proper compensation policy support, such as treatment of nurses and improvement of working conditions, is needed.

  • With the advent of the ICT-based 4th industrial revolution, the convergence of the manufacturing industry and ICT seems to be the new breakthrough for achieving the company's competitiveness and play a role on the key element for accelerating the revival of the manufacturing industry. When the smart factory is implemented, each plant can analyze the quantity of data collected, build the data-driven operation systems which can make decisions, and ultimately discover the correlation among many events in the manufacturing sites. As the customers' needs become diversified more and more, it is required for the company to change its operating method from large quantity batch production systems to customizable and flexible manufacturing systems. For performing this requirements, it is essential for the company to adopt the smart factory. Based on technology acceptance model (TAM), this study investigates the factors influencing continuous use intention and switching intention of the smart factory. To do so, a questionnaire survey is conducted both online and offline. 122 samples are used for the study analysis. The results of this study will provide many implications with many researchers and practitioners relevant smart factories.

  • Recognizing the shortage of information about business models to generate profit despite the designers' recent interest in 3D printers as a new creative tool, this study set out to make sunglasses for young children, which lacked diversity in sizes according to age due to the small market scope under the old mass production system, by taking advantage of 3D printers' strength in the small batch production of customized products and propose a practical example to be expandable as a small-size business model. For these purposes, the investigator summarized the basic information about the 3D printing technology and the basic structure of sunglasses and made a size table to manufacture sunglasses for young children by analyzing the size table for vision correction. After this series of work, the study presented final product with the production costs and demonstrated that sunglasses for young children made with a 3D printer could be a practical case expandable as a competitive small-size business model in the market.

  • The autonomous weapon systems are being developed with a global competition due to the 4th industrial revolution technologies such as artificial intelligence. This theses analyzes on the technologies related to the autonomy of the new weapons, the new changes in war fighting regime that will be brought by such autonomous weapons, the level of autonomy in a autonomous weapon system, and also the definition and functions of the autonomy. The advanced artificial intelligence for the civilian commercial sectors would be similar to the required military autonomous systems. The future war fighting regime would be the war with autonomous weapon systems without any human casualties. The level of autonomy in the future weapons would be fully autonomous without any human supervision or involvement in the decision making processes. The functions of the autonomous weapon would be to sense, to decide, and to act with a full autonomy in order to accomplish desired purposes.

  • Southeast Asia witnessed a paradox of political stagnation and economic development in 2017. The 'dual order' of security dependence on America and economic dependence on China was sustained in East Asia. In this regard, Southeast Asia of two faces was quite similar to broader East Asia. On one hand, the old socialist group with totalitarian nostalgia lurked in the buffer zone between totalitarianism and authoritarianism, while the original capitalist group under democratic disguise roamed in the gray zone between authoritarianism and democracy. On the other, the old socialist group with the legacy of the planned economy succumbed to the temptation of the Beijing Consensus on state capitalism, while the original capitalist group with the myth of the market economy was exposed to the pressure of the Washington Consensus on liberal capitalism. The ASEAN Community representing the regional integration of Southeast Asia was caught in the strategic predicament of a looming 'new cold war' between the continental and maritime powers.

  • Under the global economic system, production activities has formed an international division of labor, which has greatly affected industries in individual countries by global issues such as the U.S-China trade war and neo-protectionism. In particular the risk and change of disconnection of semiconductor value chain caused by COVID-19 are evaluated as offering the crisis and opportunity at the same time to all countries participating in the global electronics industry value chain. Therefore, this study was conducted with the OECD Trade in Value Added(TiVA) based on the time when a detailed analysis of the global chain of the electronic industry is needed. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the global value chain of the electronics industry is gradually expanding and strengthening, and that various countries are emerging as major actors in the global value chain. It was found that the U.S. and Japan are in charge of relatively high value-added activities, while Korea, Taiwan and China are in charge of low value-added activities, although they are large scale.

  • In order to support women with career breaks to re-enter the labor market, it is not only necessary to discover and select promising jobs, but also to provide objective and accurate job information on selected promising jobs so that women with career breaks can make reasonable career choices. need arises. It can be pointed out that the government support course has no burden of tuition compared to the general course, and because the quality of education is high, it is possible to select trainees with a high willingness to find employment through competition in the recruitment process. In addition, the government support process secures relatively high-quality programs and instructors, increasing trainees' concentration, satisfaction, and willingness to find a job. Job literacy and employment preparation education are obligatory, job design support through job counseling, and continuous follow-up support. The system also works. Accordingly, if systematic and continuous development and support are made in the process of selecting promising occupations for women with career breaks and designing education and training programs, it is expected that women with career breaks will be more active in their re-entry into the labor market.
