Planning of Train Operation with Different Objectives Utilizing Mixed-Integer Nonlinear Programming Models (비선형정수계획법을 이용한 운행전략에 따른 열차운영계획 수립)

  • 열차운영계획은 수송수요 산정, 운행노선계획, 열차시간표 작성 기관차 및 인원의 할당 등 광범위한 내용을 포괄하고 있으나, 본 논문에서는 계획의 초기단계에서 결정 가능한 운행노선계획을 대상으로 범위를 설정하였다. 운영목표에 따른 전략은 사용자, 운영자, 사회전체의 입장에서 고려될 수 있는데, 이러한 전략에 의해 운행 될 수 있는 열차운행패턴을 운영비용의 최소화, 통행시간의 최소화. 운영자 수익의 최대화 모형으로 해결하고자 하였다. 2004년 이후에 운행이 예상되는 고속철도/기존철도는 운영계획의 변경이 예상되는 바, 상기의 목표에 따라 열차운영패턴을 작성하여 개발된 효과척도의 적용을 통해 정책적인 적용가능성을 평가하였으며 기존 계획된 철도청의 운영계획과도 아울러 비교, 최적대안을 선정하였다. 본 고에서는 수리계획모형인 비선형정수계획모형(MINLP)으로서 국내 철도망에 부합하는 운영계획을 작성하였으며, 이에 따른 열차-km는 수익최대화 모형, 인-km는 철도청의 열차운영계획이 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 인-hour는 수익 최대화 모형과 통행시간 최소화 모형이 가장 적은 것으로 나타났는데, 이는 장거리 노선의 편성이 증가된 것으로 사료된다. 이러한 결과를 산출함에 있어. 어려운 점은 각 구간의 기하급수적 증가, 결정변수의 초기값 선정 등이 있으나, 그동안 연구된 각종 경험적 기법의 적용과 실제 편성 가능한 변수의 적용을 통해 이를 해결하였다. 추후 설정된 모형의 비교에 적합한 효과척도의 개발과 전국적으로 사례구간의 확장 및 모형의 최적대안 선택 시 효과척도의 가중치에 대한 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

  • Presently, because making process of train service plan consist of various constraint condition, for example structure of track, structure of track in station, train maintenance time and others for considering to be necessary of train management, it has been had extremely complex structure problems. For these reasons, it has big problems to compare analysis for various train service time-table. A study suggest methodology to choice service the most effective schedule and plan of train put before comparative analysis on making train diamond picture's expected effect of established possible various train time-table in making process of train service schedule for improving effectiveness and organization of train service schedule establishment. A study uses Line-Blocking theory for analyzing train service time-table and analyze example for regional train Sadang to Ansan section in 4line.

  • 현재 전국적으로 도시 철도의 각 호선별 열차 운행은 차량기지에서 출고된 열차가 기점과 종점의 두 지점 사이를 여러 차례 왕복한 후 정해진 차량기지로 입고방식을 취하는 것이 대부분이다. 그리고 매일 열차 운행이 개시되기 전 각 차량기지의 보유 열차 수는 전날과 동일해야 하는데 차량 기지가 복수로 존재할 경우 열차 운행계획 수립 시 어느 기지에서 출고한 어떤 차량이 어느 기지로 입고해야 하는지를 결정하는 문제가 더욱 어려워진다. 승객 수송을 위한 여러 가지 요구조건 또한 모두 만족시키면서 이 입출고 제약도 만족시키는 것은 쉬운 문제가 아니다. 하지만 열차 운행 계획 수립을 자동으로 생성하는 방법에 대한 연구는 매우 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 차량기지가 복수로 존재하는 상황에서의 현실 제약을 모두 만족하는 도시철도 운행 계획을 자동으로 생성하는 방법을 제시한다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 방법으로 실험 한 결과 기존의 방법으로 해결이 어려운 차량기지가 복수로 존재하는 상황에서의 현실제약을 모두 만족하는 계획을 빠른 시간 내에 수립 할 수 있음을 확인 하였다.

An Estimation Model of the Minimum Required Dwell Time for Urban Railway (도시철도 적정 최소소요 정차시분 추정모델)

  • In the major operation section of urban railway, there has been occurred habitual delay, and delay propagation and spread to consecutive trains. Therefore, this delay cause the increase of operation time and irregular operation, also the increase of crowd and inconvenience to passengers. The railway operation plan is a promise to passengers and must have reliability. In the case of high frequency urban operation, dwell time have considerable influence on operational headway, so it is very important to efficiently plan and control the dwell time at stations. In this paper, the survey of the research on dwell time for urban railways is presented. The practical estimation model for minimum required dwell time, and the numerical example and validity are proposed.

  • 본 논문에서는 승객 수송수요 반영 단계에서는 역별 승하차인원, 시간대별 재차인원 등 수송수요에 반영할 기준을 설정하여 수송력과 승차인원의 기준을 판단하고, 열차운행계획 수립 단계에서는 운행구간, 선로용량, 선로조건 등 제약조건과 적정수송력에 맞는 운행계획을 수립하고, 마지막 단계에서 경제성, 능률성, 합리성 등을 감안한 운용효율 향상을 위한 열차 DIA를 작성하고자 한다. 또한 통계적 분석절차에 따라 재차인원과 운행횟수를 각각의 독립변수와 종속변수로 산정하여 두 변수간의 상관관계를 확인한 후 회귀분석을 통해 얻은 회귀식을 실제열차운행 횟수와 비교하여 최적의 열차운행횟수를 산정하였으며 회귀식의 유효성 검증을 통해 열차운행 환경변화에 신속하게 대응할 수 있는 유연한 시스템을 구축한 후 서울도시철도공사 실용 Dia에 적용하여 유효성을 검토하였다.

  • Since many resources are put into the work of changing the railway operation within limited time, it is important to have a specific work plan and safety management. For this reason, the work schedule is shared in advance, and parallel work is being carried out simultaneously by rail system, such as tracks, trolly wires, and signals. However, due to the nature of the transfer work, the work is carried out at night when the railway operation is finished, and many resources are put into the limited area of the operating line, so the risk of safety accidents and failure to change the operating line is recognized as high. Nevertheless, there is still not enough research done in korea regarding the operation line change construction. Therefore, this study is conducted a survey on the track exchange work of railroad for working people, and analyzed the results of the survey. Finally, a standard work process was suggested to reduce the risk of track exchange work.

A Study on the Generation of Crew Scheduling Diagram Using Neighborhood Search Method for Improving Railway Operation Management (철도 운영관리 효율화를 위한 이웃해 탐색기법을 사용한 승무다이아 생성방안)

  • The train operation institution establishes a transportation plan based on the forecast of transport demand and the ability of train vehicles to transport, and establishes a train operation plan accordingly. The train operation plan adjusts the intervals between trains, creates a timetable (train diagram) for trains, and establishes a plan for the operation of train vehicles used for train operation. The train operation institution shall establish a crew schedule to determine and place the crew members of the trains arranged in the diagram in order to enhance the efficiency of the operation management of the trains. In this study, the authors apply the neighborhood search method that satisfies the constraints at the phase of generating the crew diagram. This suggests a methodology for efficient management of crew schedule plan. The crew diagram generated in this study compared with the existing crew diagram in accordance with the actual operating train timetable, and verified the effectiveness of the suggested method.

A Column Generation Approach to Line Planning in Rail Freight Transportation (화물열차 노선계획 작성을 위한 열 생성 기반 최적화 모형 연구)

  • Line planning is to determine the frequency of trains on each line to satisfy origin-destination demand while minimizing total operation cost. However, different from the line planning in passenger transportation, it is more important at which intermediate stations each train should be stopped and shunted because the freight car handling works like drop-off or(and) pick-up can incur much time and high cost so that the delay deteriorates the quality of rail freight transportation service. We present an optimization model for constructing line plan in rail freight transportation to simultaneously minimize the train operation cost and total transportation time of freights. And we suggest a column generation approach for our problem, which can solve the real network instances in reasonable computation times.

An Efficient Model and Algorithm to Allocate Rail Track Capacity Considering Line Plans (노선 계획을 고려한 철도 선로 용량 배분 최적화 모형 및 해법)

  • Recently, there is has been significant interest in the allocation systems of rail track capacities with considerations of the multiple train operating companies. The system indicates both a well-defined procedure and an algorithmic method to allocate the rail track capacities. Among them, this study considers the algorithmic method to derive the optimal timetable for the trains, which the companies propose together with their arrival and departure times at each station. However, most studies have focused on the adjustment of the departure and arrival times without conflicts, which could result in incompatible allocations with the line plan, which would result in an insufficient number of trains on each line to satisfy the demands. Our study presents a new optimization model and algorithm for the allocation problem in order to reflect the predetermined line plan. Furthermore, we provide the experimental results that were applied to the Korean high-speed railway network including the Suseo lines.

An Iterative Linear Approximation Algorithm for a Unified Model of Traffic Assignment and Line Planning in Railway Networks (통행배정-노선계획 통합 모형을 위한 선형 근사화 알고리듬 개발)

  • Line planning is an important step to determine the optimal frequencies of trains given the forecasted demand for each train type. The main input data for line planning is the leg traffic demand which can be derived using suitable traffic assignment models. However most assignment models require a line plan, in other words, train frequencies or headways, so that inconsistent results just by the procedural approach to find an optimal line plan after determining leg traffic can be avoided. This paper suggests a unified model that can consider the traffic assignment and line planning, simultaneously. We further provide an elaborated approximation algorithm and, finally, provide experimental results determined for the Korean railway network.
