The study aims to figure out how to improve existing examination tools to distinguish mathematically gifted children and to clarify procedures and criteria for selecting candidates. Toward this end, it examined correlations between grades of gifted children selected through evaluation by pen-and-pencil tests and their creative problem-solving capability and performance assessment, and analyzed learning activities of the gifted children. According to the analysis, results of pen-and-pencil tests turned out to have low correlations with their creative problem-solving capability and performance assessment, but it was found that their creative problem-solving capability has high correlations with results of performance assessment. The analysis also found that there were some students who participated in a program for gifted children with high marks but had difficulties in adapting themselves to it. It found that there were children who joined the program with low marks but emerged as successive performers later on. In this regard, the existing examination tools to tell the gifted students apart need to be used to the fullest extent, and other diversified tools to evaluate mathematical capabilities that include mathematical creativity need to be further studied and developed. Qualitative studies on affective development of the gifted students and their creative problem-solving processes need to be conducted.

The purpose of this study is to develop a software education program using micro:bit based on the ADDIE development model and to analyze the effects of the development of creativity of elementary school students. The education program was developed based on the results of the pre-demand analysis conducted on 40 elementary school teachers in Jeju. In order to verify the effectiveness of the developed education program, 42 students who participated in the education donation program conducted by ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$ University were enrolled in 24 hours for 7 days for 6 days. The results of the analysis show that the software education program developed in this study has positive effects on the creativity factors by improving the programming ability of elementary school students.

Constructivism has had a great influence on science education over the last two decades. The purpose of this article is twofold: First, to describe the characteristics of constructivism and, second, to suggest an ideal forms of science education in Korea as implied in constructivism. A review of the literatures in the first area shows that constructivism is philosophical/psychological view which believe in the social nature of the construction of scientific knowledge and its learning. And the analyses of a few schools of constructivism suggest decision-making as a goal of science education, learning as the active construction of meaning through interaction between learner and learning environments, and discussion and cooperation as appropriate teaching strategies. At the same time, the results necessitate teaching ethical aspects of science in the secondary schools, and also imply that performance assessment must be emphasized in evaluation of science education.
In this paper, we show how a curriculum using LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT robot based ROBOTC for undergraduate students has been developed, and we analyze the educational effect of the curriculum. The curriculum is composed of basic knowledge learning, practice with basic robots, practice with advanced robots, and creative design and implementation of robots. During the three year period since 2009, educational achievement has been analyzed by surveys for 6 classes, 94 students. According to the analysis, the curriculum has highly motivated the students and made them to achieve effectively our educational and academic goals. Also, we observe that the curriculum helped the students to improve their creativity and the problem solving skill, and that the students were autonomously and deeply involved in the homework and the term projects, which made them be very cooperative. Finally, the intensive practice with ROBOTC programming is shown to help students to improve their programming ability of C language.
In this study, we developed the program for 'Discretionary Activity' focusing on the multiple activities with everyday-life materials to enhance scientific creativity (MAEM-SC), which was specifically for students in the 6-7th grade according to the 7th curriculum in Korea. As important factors for scientific creativity, we selected the ability to find out the context relevant to scientific problems, the ability to connect the problem context to scientific knowledge, the ability to invent the ways to solve the problem scientifically, and ability to concentrate on the scientific problem solving activity. The topics of the program were drawn from common and familiar things in our everyday contexts, such as human body, everyday tools, food, play and toys, and everyday episodes. The multiple activities here mean the activities which are systematically constructed with the various types of activities with a specific intention. The multiple activities were designed in three types, that is, series type, parallel type, and combination type. Each of them consists of the several activities as follows: estimating and measuring, carrying out an experiment using body, inventing implement (tools), thinking statistically, writing creatively with scientific themes, and connecting one concept to another concept etc. Through a trial of the program, we found that this program has some positive influence on the enhancement both of the ability to find out the context relevant to scientific problems and the ability to connect it to the students' existing scientific knowledge.
The purpose of this study is to help to improve the method of math teaching by analysing how learner-centered teaching method offsets mathematical creativity and mathematical disposition. For this purpose, research questions are established as follows; (1) Mathematical creativity between open-ended learning activity approach(OLAA) and general classroom-based instruction(GCI) shows any difference? (2) Mathematical disposition between OLAA and GCI shows any difference? The results obtained through this study were as follows: (1) There was significant difference between OLAA group and CCI group in mathematical creativity. This means that open-ended learning activity approach was generally more effective in improving mathematical creativity than general classroom-based instruction. (2) There was no significant difference between OLAA group and GCI group in mathematical disposition. But the average scores of mathematical disposition except mathematical confidence improved a little. So we can say that open-ended learning activity approach brought an positive influence on students' mathematical disposition. The results obtained in this study suggest that the OLAA can be used to cultivate the children's mathematical creativity and disposition. Therefore, I suggest that teachers should use the OLAA to improve the children's mathematical creativity and disposition.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of drama education program for elementary school students by using method of meta-analysis. For the purpose of the study, master's theses, doctoral dissertations, and journal articles published in Korea up to July, 2013 were systematically reviewed. As a result, a total of 19 studies were eligible for the inclusion criteria. The mean effect sizes and test for homogeneity of effect size(Q-statistic) were analyzed by using Comprehensive Meta-Analysis software 2.0. The main findings of the study were as follows. First, the average effect sizes for drama education program were ES=1.103 of self-expression, ES=1.011 of self-esteem, ES= .858 of creativity and ES= .672 of sociality. Second, by analysing the moderate variables of the effect size for drama education program, 'sessions' were statistically significant. Based on the study results, the research and practice implications were discussed.
Breidenbach et al(1992)는 APOS(Actions, Processes, Objects, Schemas)를 소개하였고 Sfard(1991)는 수학적 개념에서의 Process 와 Object의 상호관련성에 대해서 발표하였다.
