This study is to present improvement plans by examining how Korean literature house websites provide information services. Seventy-nine Korean literature houses out of eighty-eight members of the Korean Literature House Association were studied, except nine that did not construct websites. Three core elements, including website style, literary works information and writer information, together with thirteen sub-elements, were derived from precedent studies. As a result, it was found that 90% of the literature houses were operating websites, but the classification criteria for the literary works and cataloguing rules were not unified, and literature information was not provided sufficiently. Thus, this study suggested improvement plans such as support to build a website, developing cataloging guidelines for literature houses, providing more full-text literature and providing information about literary works and writer.

우편주소정보는 모든 우정업무 처리의 기본이자 핵심이라고 할 수 있으나 현재 국내 우편주소 관리 체계가 정비되어 있지 않은 실정이다. 정확하고 신뢰성 있는 우편주소정보를 제공할 수 있도록 주소정보시스템을 구축하여, 우정업무 내부 처리 효율성을 중대시키고 고객서비스 및 우정사업의 신뢰성을 높여나가야 할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 우편주소정녈 및 시스템과 관련된 국내외 현왕을 살펴보고 주소정보시스템을 구축하고 관리하기 위만 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 사용자 및 요구사항을 정의하고, 요구사항들을 계층적으로 구분하여 시스템 구성요소와 연계되도록 했다. 또만 전체 시스템의 구성과 구조에 대만 개념 설계를 수행하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 우편주소정보시스템의 상세설계와 구현 시 참고할 수 있을 것이다.

Information technologies has been playing critical roles in libraries and the practice of information technologies has expanded to various service areas. This study investigated information technological factors in the qualifications of librarian job ads to identify major information technology skills and experiences for librarians. As the result of investigation, the major preferences for information technology skills and experiences are identified in each group of librarians such as administration and management, reference, technical service.

사단법인 한국침해사고대응팀협의회(CONCERT) 사무국은 지난 1월 4일부터 23일까지 3주간에 걸쳐 CONCERT 396개 회원사 중 125개 정회원사를 대상으로 '2009년도 기업 정보보호 이슈'에 대한 조사를 실시했다. CONCERT의 정회원사는 현재 보안전담팀이 구축.운영되고 있는 기업 및 기관, 즉 기업 정보보호에 있어 그들만의 뚜렷한 의식을 지니고 있는 곳을 의미하기에, 이들을 대상으로 한 설문결과는 사실상 우리나라 기업 정보보호의 방향성을 제시한다고 해도 과언이 아니다. 매년 그렇듯이 CONCERT FORECAST 보고서는 제품/서비스 공급자나 학계 등의 의견이 아닌 순수 유저들의 입장에서 기업 실무와 직접적으로 연관된 이슈들만을 추려냈다는 점에서 타 전망자료들과는 그 궤를 달리하며, 그렇기에 기업 실무자의 입장에서는 가장 흥미롭고 유용한 참고자료로 사용될 수 있다. 기업 정보보호 담당자들의 현실적인 고민들이 듬뿍 묻어있는 금번 조사결과를 소개한다.

에이전트 시스템(agent system) 관련 기술은 이질적이고 분산된 환경에서 상호 운용성(interoperability)을 확보하기 위한 방법이 될 수 있다. 이런 에이전트 시스템의 국제 표준화를 진행해 나가고 있는 단체인 FIPA(Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agents)는 1996년 에 형성되었고, 이질적인 시스템간의 상호 운용성을 최대화하기 위해서 국제적으로 인정된 명세서를 정기적으로 발표하고 있다. 하지만 최근까지 FIPA 표준안은 모바일 ad-hoc네트워크와 같은 환경을 고려하지 못하고 있다. 이러한 환경에서 에이전트는 이질적인 네트워크들에서 제공하는 서비스들을 이용할 수 없다. 이러한 문제점에 초점을 맞추어 본 논문에서는 FIPA 표준을 참고하여 만든 FIPA-OS(Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agents Open Source) 를 수정한 에이전트 플랫폼을 제공한다. 우리는 이러한 에이전트 플랫폼을 이용하여 이질적인 환경에서 제공하는 서비스들에 대한 상호운용성과 에이전트 플랫폼 안에 DM(Discovery Middleware)을 추가하여 확장성을 보장한다. DM은 에이전트가 ad-hoc 네트워크 안에서 동작하는 서비스 디스커버리 기법들을 사용하여 서비스들을 찾고 생성할 수 있게 도와준다. 우리는 다양한 서비스 디스커버리 기법 중 UPnP (Universal Plug and Play)와 LSD (Lightweight Service Discovery Protocol)를 이용하여 DM을 구현하였다. UPnP는 UPnP 포럼에서 개발된 서비스 디스커버리를 위한 프로토콜의 집합이며 LSD는 우리가 만든 모바일 ad-hoc 네트워크에서 동작하는 새로운 서비스 디스커버리 프로토콜로 캐쉬 관리를 강조하여 개발하였다. 우리가 제안하는 DM을 이용하여 수정된 에이전트 플랫폼에서 UPnP와 LSD의 장비에서 제공되는 서비스들을 상호간 이용 할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to provide background information for the improvement of e-Book service task in academic libraries through the task analysis of e-Book service librarians. The semi-structured interviews with 9 participants were analyzed using Activity Theory. The study results showed that participants have used various tools and interacted with diverse people to attain the goals of e-Book services. In addition, the division of labor and rules related to e-Book services were observable. However, there exist some problems in task performance, such as lack of budget, inconvenience of use due to unstandardized e-Book production, and disagreements of opinions. Furthermore, based on participants' responses, the ways of improvement of e-Book services in academic libraries were suggested in the aspects of content, system, and policy.

The research reports the results from an investigation of various measurement elements and techniques appropriate for the economic assessment of academic libraries, with a view to apply them in future evaluation of academic libraries in Korea. Two libraries participated in the pilot study. In one library, CVM (contingency valuation method) was applied to services ranging from circulation, electronic collection, reference, user education and facility. In the second library, three different methodologies--time value, alternative service value and CVM--were all applied to measure the value of electronic collection. The research provides analyses of measurement elements used, study procedures and measurement results. Based on these analyses, the study also makes suggestions in the areas of measurement goals, service, users and the calculation of B/C ratios that need to be taken into consideration in order to execute reliable and valid assessment of academic library's value.

해외지역 다국어기반 웹사이트는 사용자에게 해외지역 관련 기본정보 및 전문정보를 다국어기반으로 서비스를 제공해야 한다. 또한 해외지역 다국어 기반이라는 사이트의 특성에 맞는 메뉴와 콘텐츠의 제공이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 특성을 고려하여 해외지역 다국어기반 웹사이트의 표준모형을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 먼저 국내에서 운영 중인 해외지역 관련 웹사이트들을 대상으로 정보구조, 사이트맵, 용어 등을 분석한다. 그리고 이 분석 결과를 기반으로 하여 향후 해외지역 다국어기반 웹사이트 구축 시 참고할 수 있는 표준 모형을 제안한다.

국제해사기구의 e-Navigation 전략은 선박에 새로운 기술을 도입하여 더욱 편리하고 안전한 항해를 지원하는 것이다. e-Navigation 전략 이행을 위해 다양한 해양 정보 서비스에서 발생 가능한 요구사항을 수용할 수 있는 공통 데이터 모델이 필요하게 되었고, 최종적으로 국제수로기구의 S-100 표준이 선정되었다. 이 중 해양기상정보를 차세대 전자해도정보시스템에서 표출하기 위한 S-41X 제품표준은 현재 개발이 미완료된 의 논의가 시작되고 있는 상황이다. 본 논문은 S-41X 제품표준 중 격자 데이터 기반의 S-413 제품에 대한 데이터 모델을 설계하였다. 또한 격자 데이터 형식을 지원하는 타 S-100 데이터 제품을 참고하여 국내 원시자료인 기상청 수치예보모델 결과를 활용한 제품 인코딩 테스트 단계의 연구를 수행하였다.

The purposes of this article are to explore the current situation and problems of user education in Korean libraries, and to seek some feasible solutions to establish user education as a library service. To the end, the main focus of discussion is on identifying both current situation and special features in user education of Korean libraries, as compared to those of the U.S. libraries. Also followed is a comparative discussion on the formal education systems to educate instruction librarians and the activities of professional associations to train instruction librarians between Korea and the U.S. The final suggestion is given regarding the obligations that Korean LIS scholars, professional library associations, and individual librarians should fulfill to establish user education as a healthy library service, which is suitable for Korean library situations.
