A Stability Test of the Regression Coefficients for the Linear Models using Chow Test (차우검정을 활용한 선형회귀모형간 유사성 검증)

  • In this research, we tried to check the applicability of a Chow test to the linear models which are generated in the process of transportation planning or traffic flow analyses. The Chow test is a very popular statistical method which is being used to see if the coefficients from two separate linear regression models are equal or not. In order to prove the effectiveness of the Chow test, we found the linear relationships between speed and density under the situations such as driving in daytime and in nighttime on a rainy day. Based on the two months of Joong-Bu Expressway traffic data, we proved that the Chow test is useful to testify the similarity between two linear regression models. And this statistical tool seems to be able to have a very important role in traffic flow analysis or in transportation planning process. Finally, we expect the Chow test be implemented even to the non-linear regression models or to the multi-variate models.

A study on differences by gender in influence of recognition, usage, convenience and preference on purchase intention for traditional Korean rice cake (성별에 따른 전통 떡류에 대한 인지도, 활용도, 편의도 및 선호도가 구매의도에 미치는 영향의 차이연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the differences by gender in influence recognition, usage, convenience and preference on purchase intention for traditional Korean rice cake. For this study, the effect of the gender-based consumption patterns-degree of recognition, usage, convenience, and preference towards the traditional Korean rice cake-on purchasing intention was investigated among the university students in Busan area. Of the entire students, 47.5% were male and 52.5% female; 51.0% had less than \5,000,000 and 49.0% had \5,000,000 or more in household income level per month; and 46.0% live with parent(s) whereas 54.0% by themselves. The findings showed that consumption patterns lie between 4.0 and 6.0 in Likert-type 7-point scale. It showed differences by gender in all of the degree of recognition, usage, convenience, and preference.

A Study on the Effects of City Brand-Self Congruity on Attitudes toward City and Moderating Effect of City Brand Personality (도시브랜드-자아일치성이 도시태도에 미치는 영향과 도시브랜드개성의 조절적 역할에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the actual self congruity and the ideal self congruity on positive attitudes toward city through fictitious city brand experiments. Additionally, the moderating role of city brand personality in relationship between brand-self congruity and positive attitudes are examined. This research conducted a survey after developing scenarios of two city brand personality. Frequency analysis to identify the characteristics of respondents, t-test to check the experimental manipulation, multiple regression analysis and chow test for hypothesis testing were performed through the SPSS Statistics 21 program. The self congruity of city brand had significant effects on attitudes toward city, but the moderating role of city brand personality was not significant. Theoretical and managerial implications of the findings were discussed and self congruity is an important variable in brand-consumer relationship in city brand. Finally, limitations of this study and future research directions were discussed.

Exploring Training Priority about IT Test and IT Quality Assurance Jobs (IT테스트, IT품질보증 직무분야 교육훈련 우선순위 탐색)

  • The importance of SW quality is also rising as the usage of SW is increased in the areas of society. The development of SW quality competency of the human resource is essential for ensuring the quality of SW product, and the details of it should be reflected firstly in the demands of industrial sites. In this paper, the needs assessment and the training priorities were identified by IT Test and IT Quality Assurance based on National Competency Standards(NCS). T-test, Borich's need assessment model, and the Locus for Focus Model were conducted for determining training priorities. As a result, top and post training priorities were drawn from the redundancy check and some related implications were suggested.

Herbicide Combinations of Oxyfluorfen and Paraquat for Early and Late Post-emergence Uses in Pear Orchard (배(梨) 과수원(果樹園)의 잡초방제(雜草防除)를 위한 제초제(除草劑) Oxyfluorfen과 Paraquat의 혼용효과(混用效果)에 관한 연구(硏究))

  • Nine combined dosal levels of Paraquat and Oxyfluorfen were compared on pear orchard to control Digitaria adscendens Henr, and others, namely Commelina communis L., Erigeron annuus L., Echinochloa crusgalli P. Beauv var. oryzicola Ohwi, etc.. By treating as an early-postemergence, the mixtures showed higher control effects than 85% of the whole weeds, but the control effects in the mono-treatments of respective herbicide were only 20% or so. On the other hand, as a late-postemergence, the control rates were fluctuated from 31% to 94%. However, there was no significant difference in Spearman's rank correlation coefficients between both efficacies. Thus indicate that the action style of synergistic effect was not influenced by the application time, and the levels of mixtured dosages should be adjusted by the application times and interfering conditions.

The Need Analysis for Operating Course-based National Technical Qualification Course of Vocational School Teachers (직업계고 교사의 과정평가형 자격 과정 운영에 대한 교육요구도 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to use as a basic data of establishing operating Course-based National Technical Qualification(CNTQ) support program by examining the educational needs for operating CNTQ of vocational school teachers, and to contribute to the vocational school settlement of CNTQ course. To achieve those purposes, this study drew 27 tasks performed by teachers operating CNTQ. Also, it surveyed the perceived importance and the performance. The findings of this study are as follows. First, it is showed that 'selection of qualification fields and confirmation of organization criteria, organization of educational training time by competency unit, organization of subjects and establishment of competency unit operating plan by grade and semester, selection of teaching materials, implementation of education and training, establishment of evaluation plan, implementation of evaluation, re-education and re-evaluation students with grades under 40%, guidance of paper evaluation, guidance of practical evaluation, guidance of interview evaluation' are the first priority tasks in the result of the need analysis. Second, it is indicated that 'application of external evaluation, guidance to retake an exam for failure' are the secondary priority tasks. According to these results, the following conclusions were made. First, it will be more positive effects if the educational needs in the next CNTQ support program include contents of the first priority tasks. Second, it is indicated that the priority of the educational needs for tasks of operating plan stages is commonly high. In particular, the highest ranking in the result means that it is completely supported from the first step on operating course. It is expected that the program which teachers on operating the course of similar qualification fields share each operating experience is effective. Third, the priority of the educational needs for external evaluation step ranked high. External evaluation has a different level of difficulty and a form of practical evaluation output according to qualification fields, so the method of guidance has to be different. It needs the program constructed by similar fields.
