사료중 크릴 밀이 브로일러 병아리의 생산성과 단백질 및 에너지 이용성에 미치는 영향

  • In order to study the effect of dietary krill meal on the performance and the utilization of protein and energy, broiler chicks fed on the experimental diets containing 0.0%, 0.5% and 1.0% krill meal, respectively, and injected Salmonella typhimurium lipopolysacharide(LPS) (Immunological stress) in 2nd week of age during 3 weeks of experimental period. Dietary krill meal did not affect daily gain and feed efficiency but the immunological stress lowered daily gain and feed intake and nitrogen balance and increased liver and spleen weight and the energy utilization of bird. The uric acid excretion was accelerated by immunological stress.

  • Effects of Salmonella typhimurium lipopolysacharide(LPS) and dietary krill meal on the Growth and feed utilization were investigated in broiler chicks. Eight cages of five newly hatched chicks each were assigned and fed to one of the experimental diets containing 0.0,(basal) 0.5 or 1.0% krill meal during 3 weeks of experimental period. And half(four) of the eight cages were i.p. injected with saline or LPS(Immune response activation) every alternate day three times beginning 8 day-old during 2 week of age. Dietary krill meal did not affect growth, feed efficiency, nitrogen balance(NB), uric acid excretion, and ME utilization when the saline was injected. However, the immune response activation lowered daily gain and feed intake and NB and increased uric acid excretion, and the relative liver and spleen weight. Also, birds fed diet containing krill meal 1.0% reduced the feed efficiency and increased spleen weight, and ME and NB or ME required for gain compared with those fed basal and krill meal 0.5% diets in LPS-injected chicks. During recovery period from the immunological stress in 3rd week of age, the krill meal diet reduced the weight of liver and spleen, The results showcd that dietary krill meal did not affect the growth of broiler chicks, but the higher uric acid excretion or dietary ME value indicated the increased protein decomposition or absorption of dietary energy sources in immune response activated birds.

  • In order to at day evaluate effect of dietary 2.0 % brown seaweed(Undaria pinnatifida) with bean extract on performance and nutrients utilization during acute phase response, one day-old broiler chicks were fed basal diet and diets substituted with 2.0 % brown seaweed and 2.0 % brown seaweed with bean extract instead of wheat bran in basal diet for 4weeks. Dietary 2.0 % brown seaweed with bean extract enhanced dietary ME value and protein accumulation due to the increased NB and decreased UAN excretion. increased feed intake during acute phase response and had the highest body weight among birds fed experimental diets. The resulted indicated that dietary 2.0 % brown seaweed with bean extract improved performance of broiler chicks due to the increased protein accumulation during acute phase response.

Effect of Non- Protein Nitrogen on the Biological Utilization of Protein and the Excretion of Nitrogenous Compounds in Chicks (병아리에서 단백질의 생물적 이용성과 요중질소 화합물의 배설에 미치는 비단백태질소의 영향)

  • In order to investigate an effect of non-protein nitrogen on the biological utilization of protein, hatched single comb White Leghorn male chicks were fed for the first 8 days with a commercial chicks mash, next 6 days with protein-free diet and subsequent 6 days with protein-free diets and protein diets containing 10.59% of crude protein supplemented with 0, 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5%, respectively. During experimental feeding period, chicks fed protein-free diets had intaked gradually lower feed and had shown a similar body weight loss though urea contents were increased. When birds fed protein diets, body weight gain and feed intake were not different among birds fed the graded levels of urea although feed conversions were shown a highering tendency along with increasing urea contents. According as supplemented urea were increased, protein efficiency ratio f (PER) and net protein ratio (NPR) were increased in chicks fed protein-free diets, which were shown a lowering trend in chicks fed protein diets. Effect of supplemented urea on the urinary excretion of uric acid were not found in birds fed protein-free diets, while which were increased in birds fed protein diets with the increase of urea contents. Urea addition did not affect the excretion of total creatine in birds fed protein-free or protein diets. Excretion of ammonia was jogjered in order to increasing level of urea in birds fed protein-free diets, but which were not found any particular effect in birds fed protein diets. Also urea excretion were gradually increased with the increasing contents of urea in protein-free and protein diets. Nitrogen balance of birds fed protein-free diets were minus values, which were increased with increasing urea contents in diets. When birds fed protein diets, nitrogen balance and urinary nitrogen excretion was highered and fecal nitrogen excretion were not altered as urea levels of diets increased. Digestibility of urea nitrogen supplemented in protein-free diets were lowered along with increasing contents of urea, but biological value(BV) and net protein utilization(NPU) was found a highering tendency in birds fed protein-free diet containing 1.5% of urea. When birds fed with protein diets, digestibility, BV and NPU of protein were found a highering trend in birds fed protein diets added with 0.5% of urea.

  • 본 연구는 지구 온난화 현상의 주원인이 되는 $CO_2$ 를 화력발전소 연도가스로부터 분리 회수하기 위한 PSA 공정 개발용 기초자료를 습득하기 위하여 실시하였다. 연도가스와 유사한 조건하에서 국내에서 제조된 활성탄을 이용하여 이산화탄소 및 밸런스를 이루고 있는 질소 가스의 흡착평형 및 흡착속도 실험을 실시하였으며, 분석을 위하여 자체 제작한 장치(부피측정법) 및 TGA 장치를 각각 사용하였다. 이 연구에서 획득한 흡착등온선으로부터 사용된 흡착제가 이산화탄소의 분리에 적절한지 판단할 수 있었다. 또한, TGA에 의해 측정된 흡착속도 자료는 향후 사용될 흡착탑의 파과곡선 예측에 사용될 수 있다. 연구결과로부터 다음과 같은 사실을 알 수 있었다. 첫째, 낮은 흡착온도 일수록 흡착량이 많고 빠른 흡착속도를 나타내었다. 둘째, 압력이 높아질수록 흡착량은 증가하였다. 셋째, SGT활성탄이 SGA-100 및 SGP-100활성탄 보다 다소 많은 흡착량과 빠른 흡착속도를 보였다.

사료중 어유가 급성기 반응중인 육계 병아리에서 에너지 대사와 항산화효소 활성에 미치는 영향

  • Three experiment were designed to determine the effects of dietary(n-3) fatty acids on the growth-suppressive effects of the inflammatory response and anti-oxidant enzyme activity and balances of nitrogen and energy. Day-old chicks were fed diets containing 1.0 % soybean oil in experiment 1, or diets containing 1.0 % of fish oil in experiment 2, and then on 7-d of age chicks were fed diets containing 1.0 % of either soybean oil or fish oil. In experiment 3, day-old chicks were fed on diets containing 1.0 % of either soybean oil or fish oil. In chicks of half pens within each dietary treatments of each experiments, the acute phase response were induced by injecting with Salmonella typhymurium lipopolysaccaride(LPS) i.p. 3 times at 8, 10 and 12-d of age. During acute phase response, chicks fed dietary fish oil from 1-d of age enhanced energy balances and did not give negative effect on nitrogen balance and uric acid excretion, but elevated MnSOD and Cu/ZnSOD activity In liver and erythrocyte cytosols compared with those fed dietary soybean oil. The results indicated that enhanced daily gain and metabolizable energy value of diet in birds fed fish oil from one-d of age seems due to change on the antioxidants systems during acute phase response.

  • Effect of dietary brown seaweed (Undaria pinnatifida) levels on the performance, nutrients utilization, and blood anti-oxidant system was studied in broiler chicks activated innate immune response. Brown seaweed 2.0 % diet improved performance of broiler chicks and resulted in enhanced feed efficiency due to the increased NB and decreased UAN excretion significantly (P<0.05). Dietary brown seaweed reduced SOD activity in erythrocyte cytosol and enhanced peroxidase activity in plasma significantly(P<0.05). Activation of innate immune response increased SOD activity and peroxide levels in blood. The results indicated that dietary brown seaweed affected SOD and peroxidase activity and the increased performance in birds fed brown seaweed 2.0 % diet related with decreased decomposition of body protein and the change of anti-oxidant systems in blood of broiler chicks during activation of innate immune response.

  • Effects of interaction of dietary soybean oil with NaHCO$_3$on the energy metabolism and antioxidants enzyme activity in broiler chicks during acute phase response was studied, Broiler chicks 10 d-old were fed on diets containing 5.0 % of soybean oil with or without 0.5 %(60 meq/kg) of NaHCO$_3$. Then acute phase response were induced by injecting Salmonella typhymurium lipopolysacharide(LPS) In saline 3 times i.p. at alternative day on 16-d of age. Dietary soybean oil with NaHCO$_3$lessened the performance(growth, feed efficiency, calcium balance, excretion of uric acid, and nitrogen balance) -suppressing effect of the LPS effect, but enhanced metabolizable energy value of diet due to increased digestive absorption of energy sources and phosphoruse balance, and decreased activities of SOD in erythrocyte cytosols and circulating ceruloplasmin in plasma. The results indicated dietary energy utilization and electrolytes levels may interact with the antioxidants systems during acute phase response.

  • Effects of dietary brown seaweed product levels on performance and metabolism of protein and energy were investigated in broiler chicks that were activated the acute phase response. One day old chicks were fed diets containing either 0.0(basal), 1.0, 2.0 or 4.0 % brown seaweed products for 3 weeks. The acute phase response was activated by injecting i.p. the Salmonella typhimurium lipopolysacharide(LPS) at $2^{nd}$ week of age. The acute phase response lowered nitrogen balance(NB)/ $kg^{0.75}$ (metabolic body size) and highered dietary ME values in birds fed diets containing brown seaweed product. Increase in dietary brown seaweed products levels lowered daily gain, and NB, uric acid nitrogen(UAN) excretion and ME utilization per $kg^{0.75}$ in chicks with the acute phase response. But the dietary brown seaweed product level did not affect the performance of 3 Week old broiler chicks that experienced the acute phase response. And the brown seaweed products 1.0 and 2.0 % diets lessened the feed intake reduction caused by the acute phase response in broiler chicks. The brown seaweed 2.0% diet increased NB / g diet or $kg^{0.75}$ and decreased the excretion of UAN/g diet or $kg^{0.75}$. This result indicated that the brown seaweed was able to interact with the acute phase response and increased protein retention via decreased breakdown of protein in birds fed brown seaweed 2.0% diet.

Comparison of Methanol with Formamide on Extraction of Nitrogen Heterocyclic Compounds Contained in Model Coal Tar Fraction (모델 콜타르 유분 중에 함유된 질소고리화합물의 추출에 관한 메탄올과 포름아마이드의 비교)

  • The separation of nitrogen heterocyclic compound (NHC) contained in a model coal tar fraction was compared by the methanol and formamide extraction. The model coal tar fraction comprising four kinds of NHC (NHCs : quinoline, iso-quinoline, indole, quinaldine) and three kinds of bicyclic aromatic compound (BACs : 1-methylnaphthalene, 2-methylnaphthalene, dimethylnaphthalene), biphenyl and phenyl ether was used as a raw material. The aqueous solution of methanol and formamide were used as solvents. A batch-stirred tank was used as the raw material - a solvent contact unit of this work. Independent of the solvent used, the distribution coefficient of NHCs sharply increased by decreasing the initial volume ratio of water to the solvent and increasing the equilibrium operation temperature, whereas, the selectivity of NHCs in reference to BACs decreased. Decreasing the initial volume ratio of solvent to feed resulted in deteriorating distribution coefficients, but the selectivity of NHCs in reference to BAC was almost the constant. The distribution coefficient of NHCs by the methanol extraction was 3~5 times higher than that of NHCs by the formamide extraction, inversely, the selectivity of NHCs based on BACs by the formamide extraction was 3~7 times higher than that of NHCs by the methanol extraction. Furthermore, two different solvent extraction methods by adding the extraction processing speed to the balance between solvency and selectivity of NHCs were compared.
