  • The paradigm of the housing policy has been transformed from housing supply to housing welfare, from the policy of housing quantity expansion to the policy of customized housing welfare. The Housing Act was newly enacted to realize the new paradigm of the housing policy. The Act establishes the role of the Housing Welfare Centers in the housing welfare delivery system, but they have some difficulties in doing their role because of limited amount of centers and their manpower. The desirable and efficient model of housing welfare delivery system, therefore, is that the demand of housing welfare is discovered on local base, and that demanders can be provided housing welfare service connected to local governments or neighborhood housing welfare centers. To do so local communities should be established and activated, and the needs of housing welfare service also be discovered. This study is a exploratory one on communities' role in housing welfare delivery system in spite of some limitations based on existing theories and studies, and is significant as a new trial.

  • Recently, the gated community has been increasing due to various reasons such as demand for differentiated areas and security, but various problems have been raised, including regional conflicts, traffic restrictions and disconnection of surrounding areas. Therefore, this study empirically considered what kind of spatial effect the gated community has on the surrounding area by analyzing the vitality using floating population big data and analyzing pedestrian accessibility using network analysis and social network analysis. As a result, it was found that the overall vitality in the study area was greatly affected by the land use and the building use. However, focusing on apartment complexes, even in the same land use, when the form of the complex is open to the outside, there is a lot of floating population, so the vitality is high. In terms of accessibility, assuming that the gated community is open, it was found that as the physical connectivity improved, there were more roads for pedestrians to choose from, and the accessibility improved as traffic and exchanges occurred in the disconnected space. The value of improving property rights and residential environment is also precious, but it is necessary to review how to reflect the improvement of local permeability in enhancing the publicness of cities and the value and direction of communities that can coexist with the region.

This paper aims at identifying the concept and characteristics of coworking spaces and examining these various types in a regional context. Coworking spaces located or planned in small and medium-sized cities and rural areas in Japan and Korea are empirically investigated. Through the case study, this study provides implications for a model of coworking spaces being a creative community in a region. Specifically, it is necessary to have distinctive features only for the regional context-based coworking spaces. Moreover, this new spaces should act as a multi-functional, convergent space and a venue for regional innovation. In a fast-changing work environment such as telework, the region-based coworking spaces can be reconsidered as the place that provides an alternative work, play, learn, and rest platform. Creative people hoping for new work and lifestyle may flow into the region through this intermediator, and thus foster the interplay between the creative community and regional environment.

While focusing on commercial online communities from the marketing perspective, however, researchers have barely discussed non-commercial online communities despite its popularity. This study examined the influence of flow on satisfaction in the context of the non-commercial online community as well as the role of social capital as a significant mediator between flow and satisfaction. The community cinema movement that has been active since the 2010's can be said to be a turning point in the Korean film culture movement. However, academic and policy definitions and research on the community cinema movement are extremely insufficient and only appear in some seminars or policy research reports. This study aims to discover the characteristics of the 'Korean community cinema movement' in the flow of the Korean alternative screening movement. A comparative study through a diachronic approach to the Korean alternative screening movement and case analysis of community cinema is intended to identify the characteristics of Korean community cinema and suggest policy measures for which a support system has not yet been prepared.
