Implementing the Model of Ontology-Based Knowledge Repository for Integrating Financial Firm's Implicit and Explicit Knowledge (은행의 암묵적 지식과 형식적 지식의 통합관리를 위한 온톨로지기반 지식 리포지토리 모형 개발 연구)

  • Many Korean financial firms have built knowledge management systems, however, most of the systems have fragmentary ideas or suggestions. This study proposes the model of ontology-based knowledge repository through which one could integrate knowledge for business use in the BPM environments. The knowledge includes implicit and explicit knowledge. library materials, documents, and information for experts as well. In order to get basic ideas for this model, case studies utilized interviews and surveys were conducted targeting at four Korean banks' knowledge managers, librarians and thirty staffs.

  • 최근 지식경영(Knowledge Management)은 기업의 경쟁력 향상 및 성공적인 프로젝트 수행을 위한 중요한 전략적 요소로서 인식되고 있다. 건설업계 또한 점차적으로 지식경영을 효과적인 문제해결과 지속적인 경쟁우위 확보를 위한 핵심 시스템으로서 도입하고 있으며, 지식관리 전문가 및 건설 전문가들에 의한 지식기반의 프로젝트 관리는 더 이상 선택의 문제가 아닌 기업의 생존의 문제와도 직결되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 2002년 지식경영이 도입된 이래로 현재 한미파슨스에서 추진하고 있는 <지식경영 고도화 사업>의 주요 이슈들에 대해 살펴보고자 한다.

  • Post-Genome 시대의 Biotechnology(BT) 산업에 세계적으로 관심과 투자가 증가하고 있다. BT 산업은 기술 및 지식 집약적 특성상 R&D 활동이 중요하기에 BT 연구실의 실험 생산성 증가에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 이와 관련하여 연구실 지식경영과 지식경영시스템활용에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 하지만 그 초점이 연구 지식들의 조직화, 체계화 및 검색기능 등의 원활한 지식 공급 시스템 구축에 있기에 효율적이고 효과적인 지식 생성 방안을 제시해 주지 못하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 실험실 내 데이터 처리 및 통합 관리 역할을 해온 LIMS(Laboratory Information Management System)를 활용하여 실험 데이터들로부터 실험 디자인을 위한 효율적이고 효과적인 형식지(Explicit Knowledge)의 생성을 목적으로 하는 지식 생성 툴(Knowledge Creation Tool)을 설계하였다. 또한 상기 모델을 적용하여 실제 어떠한 형태로 지식이 생성되는지 A대학교 B유전자 연구실의 실험 데이터로 실증 분석해 보았다.

Prospective Teachers' Perception on the Teaching Sequence of Multiplication and Division of Fractions and Decimal Numbers (분수와 소수의 곱셈과 나눗셈 지도 순서에 관한 예비교사의 인식과 개선)

  • In this study, prospective teachers were involved in arranging the teaching sequence of multiplication and division of fractions and decimal numbers based on their experience and knowledge of school mathematics. As a result, these activities provided an opportunity to demonstrate the prospective teachers' perception. Prospective teachers were able to learn the knowledge they needed by identifying the differences between their perceptions and curriculum. In other words, prospective teachers were able to understand the mathematical relationships inherent in the teaching sequence of multiplication and division of fractions and decimal numbers and the importance and difficulty of identifying students' prior knowledge and the effects of productive failures as teaching methods.

  • This comparative study conducted to examine the differences between Korean and Chinese consumers. The specific goals of the study were as follows; First, It was to investigate the influences of COO(Country of Origin) image on the customer…s buying intention through the brand association knowledge. It is also aimed at analyzing the moderating effects of consumer's ethnocentrism on the influence of brand association knowledge on the buying intention. To test the hypotheses, 117 questionnaires were collected from university students in Korea and 119 questionnaires did from China and put to the test with SPSS 17.0 and AMOS 7.0. The results indicated the followings: For consumers in both countries, the COO image had not influences on the buying intention. For Korean consumers the COO image had positive impacts on the brand association knowledge, which in turn had positive impacts on the buying intention. For Chinese consumer, COO image did not have influences on the brand association knowledge, but the brand association knowledge had positive impact on the buying intention. In addition, the consumer's ethnocentrism had moderating effects on the influences of the brand association knowledge on the buying intention.

Development and Application of Classroom Homepage Using Wiki (지식공유기법을 활용한 학급 홈페이지의 개발 및 적용)

  • Students should be able to find information and resources using the Internet. Also students need to have composite intellectual abilities to select information, convert to knowledge and communicate it to other people. However, most school and classroom homepages provide students with information but not contents that help them produce knowledge. This lowers the rate of connection to homepage. Thus, the purpose of this study is to develop and apply homepage, which helps students make knowledge from comprehended and interpreted information(Knowledge.Sharing Technique; KST). In this study we use 'WIKI KST' and 'Q&A KST' to share knowledge. WIKI KST is 'an encyclopedia that we make,' which means that students upload their prior knowledge or knowledge produced from comprehended and interpreted information and create new knowledge to be added to their own knowledge and others'. As a result, the abilities to comprehend and interpret acquired information are improved and the ability to change implicit knowledge to explicit knowledge is also improved. Students create new knowledge to share their knowledge and, as a result, the rate to connection to homepage gets higher.

  • The strategic decision makers of the firm have faced with uncertainty and complexity. Although they must make decision under these environments, they can't have enough time, man power, budget and knowledge that they need to decide. They can't, therefore, help getting supports by experts who have implicit knowledge about the domain. But it is difficult for them to find any other procedures and methods to create, transform, combine, and apply new knowledges, whenever decision makers face the problem This paper provides a new method to support a strategic decision making by using the knowledge transformation process suggested by Nonaka. We illustrate an application case of the strategic decision making in consulting industry. This paper uses cognitive map as a decision support technology based on the suggested method.

The Informal Knowledge of Elementary School Students about the Concepts of Fraction (분수 개념에 관한 초등학생의 비형식적 지식)

  • The purpose of this study was to research and analyze students' informal knowledge before they learned formal knowledge about fraction concepts and to see how to apply this informal knowledge to teach fraction concepts. According to this purpose, research questions were follows. 1) What is the students' informal knowledge about dividing into equal parts, the equivalent fraction, and comparing size of fractions among important and primary concepts of fraction? 2) What are the contents to can lead bad concepts among students' informal knowledge? 3) How will students' informal knowledge be used when teachers give lessons in fraction concepts? To perform this study, I asked interview questions that constructed a form of drawing expression, a form of story telling, and a form of activity with figure. The interview questions included questions related to dividing into equal parts, the equivalent fraction, and comparing size of fractions. The conclusions are as follows: First, when students before they learned formal knowledge about fraction concepts solve the problem, they use the informal knowledge. And a form of informal knowledge is vary various. Second, among students' informal knowledge related to important and primary concepts of fraction, there are contents to lead bad concepts. Third, it is necessary to use students' various informal knowledge to instruct fraction concepts so that students can understand clearly about fraction concepts.

  • Knowledge sharing by collective intelligence, and knowledge production/sharing by outer cooperation is also important for the company. Therefore, it is needed the next generation KMS(Knowledge Management System) designed and built which based on SNS. In my paper, the problems of KMS are analyzed and new KMS's requirements and paradigm changes are examined by analysis of investigation of existing KMS. KMS based on SNS is appropriate for the next generation KMS in consideration of new KMS's requirements, that is, collective intelligence, open innovation, and convergence with IT technology. So a building method of KMS based on SNS is presented by new next generation KMS's architecture, main design and knowledge-talk design.

An Analysis of Elementary School Teachers' Knowledge of Functional Thinking for Teaching: Focused on Mathematical Tasks and Instructional Strategies (함수적 사고를 지도하기 위한 초등학교 교사의 지식 분석: 수학 과제 및 수업 전략에 대한 지식을 중심으로)

  • Despite the significance of functional thinking at the elementary school level there has been lack of research on teachers who play a major role in making students be engaged in functional thinking. This study surveyed 119 elementary school teachers to investigate their knowledge of functional thinking for teaching. A written assessment for this study was developed with a focus on the knowledge of mathematical tasks and instructional strategies to teach functional thinking. The results of this study showed that many teachers were able to design tasks corresponding to both the additive relationship and the multiplicative relationship, and to justify some strategies to promote functional thinking. However, some teachers had lack of understanding with regard to the core ideas of functional thinking. Based on these results this study is expected to suggest implications on what aspects of knowledge are further needed for elementary school teachers to promote students' functional thinking.
