Customized Knowledge Creation Framework using Context- and intensity-based Similarity (상황과 정보 집적도를 고려한 유사도 기반의 맞춤형 지식 생성프레임워크)

  • As information resources have become more various and the number of the resources has increased, knowledge customization on the social web has been becoming more difficult. To reduce the burden, we offer a framework for context-based similarity calculation for knowledge customization using ontology on the CBR. Thereby, we newly developed context- and intensity-based similarity calculation methods which are applied to extraction of the most similar case considered semantic similarity and syntactic, and effective creation of the user-tailored knowledge using the selected case. The process is comprised of conversion of unstructured web information into cases, extraction of an appropriate case according to the user requirements, and customization of the knowledge using the selected case. In the experimental section, the effectiveness of the developed similarity methods are compared with other edge-counting similarity methods using two classes which are compared with each other. It shows that our framework leads higher similarity values for conceptually close classes compared with other methods.

  • 인공신경망 기반 기계번역(Neural Machine Translation, NMT)이란 딥러닝(Deep learning)을 이용하여 출발 언어의 문장을 도착 언어 문장으로 번역해주는 시스템을 일컫는다. NMT는 종단간 학습(end-to-end learning)을 이용하여 기존 기계번역 방법론의 성능을 앞지르며 기계번역의 주요 방법론으로 자리잡게 됐다. 이러한 발전에도 불구하고 여전히 개체(entity), 또는 전문 용어(terminological expressions)의 번역은 미해결 과제로 남아있다. 개체나 전문 용어는 대부분 명사로 구성되는데 문장 내 명사는 주체, 객체 등의 역할을 하는 중요한 요소이므로 이들의 정확한 번역이 문장 전체의 번역 성능 향상으로 이어질 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 지식그래프(Knowledge Graph)를 이용하여 심볼릭 지식을 NMT와 결합한 뉴럴심볼릭 방법론을 제안한다. 또한 지식그래프를 활용하여 NMT의 성능을 높인 선행 연구 방법론을 한영 기계번역에 이용할 수 있도록 구조를 설계한다.

  • 국내에서 영한 자동번역 시스템을 1985 년부터 개발한 지 벌써 15년이 흐르고 있다. 15년의 영한 자동번역 기술개발에도 불구하고 아직도 영한 자동번역 시스템의 번역품질은 40%를 넘지 못하고 있다. 이렇게 번역품질이 낮은 이유는 다음과 같이 요약할 수 있을 것이다. $\textbullet$ 입력문에 대해 파싱할 때 오른쪽 경계를 잘못 인식함으로써 구조적 모호성의 발생문제: 예를 들어 등위 접속절에서 오른쪽 등위절이 등위 접속절에 포함되는 지의 모호성. $\textbullet$ 번역 단위로써 전체 문장을 대상으로 한 번역패턴이 아닌 구나 절과 같은 부분적인 번역패턴으로 인한 문장 전체의 번역 결과 발생. $\textbullet$ 점차 증가하는 대용량 번역지식의 구축과 관련해 새로 구축되는 번역 지식과 기구축된 대용량 번역지식들 간의 상호 충돌로 인한 번역 품질의 저하. 이러한 심각한 원인들을 극복하기 위해 본 논문에서는 문틀에 기반한 새로운 영한 자동번역 방법론을 소개하고자 한다. 이 문틀에 기반한 영한 자동번역 방법론은 현재 CNN 뉴스 방송 자막을 대상으로 한 영한 자동번역 시스템에서 실제 활용되고 있다. 이 방법론은 기본적으로 data-driven 방법론에 속한다. 문틀기반 자동번역 방법론은 규칙기반 자동번역 방법론보다는 낮은 단계에서 예제 기반 자동번역 방법론 보다는 높은 단계에서 번역을 하는 번역방법론이다. 이 방법론은 영한 자동번역에 뿐만 아니라 다른 언어쌍의 번역에서도 적용할 수 있을 것이다.

Conceptual Description of Hierarchical Structure in Discourse (담화 내 계층 구조의 개념 구조적 기술)

  • The distinction between main structure and side structure in discourse which was central to narrative studies has lacked an adequate. formal definition. This study supports the contention that there exists a hierarchical structure between discourse units constituting main structures, substructures, and side structures. The aim of this study is twofold: (j) to present an adequate. formal definition that provides a general identification criterion for distinguishing main structure from substructure and side structure proposed by Kuppevelt, and (jj) to propose conceptual relations representing hierarchical structures in discourse based on Sowa's Conceptual Structure Theory. The proposed conceptual relations which represent hierarchy and pragmatic relations of discourse segments are: DIGR (digression). T-SHFT (topic shift), and FRAM (frame). This s study shows pragmatic functions can be incorporated within CST in a systematic way.

  • The information technologies industry is now experiencing a rebirth of strong stable growth. However, very few studies have examined performance implications of strategic alliance or merger and acquisition from a knowledge-based view. Furthermore, none of these studies have investigated resource complementarities and alliance or merger and acquisition motive as potential sources of firm performance. This paper extends upon current knowledge-based literature to discover and explore linkages between resource complementarities and firm performance of strategic alliances or merger acquisitions. This study finds that strategic alliance and merger and acquisition announcements have provided abnormal positive returns of production alliances and merger and acquisition. This study can be used as a stepping stone for selection of strategic alliance or merger and acquisition.

  • Rule-based knowledge representHtion is, the most popular technique for ,storage and manipulation of domain knowledge in expert system. By the way, the amount of knowledge increases more and more in this representatiun technique, it, relationship becomes complex, and even its contents can be modified. This is the reason why rule-based knowledge representation technique requires a verification ,system which can maintain consistency and completeness of knowledge base. This paper is to propose a verification system for consistency and completeness of knowledge base to promote the efficiency and reliability of expert system. After verifying the potential errors both in structure and in semantics whenever a new rule is added, this system renders knowledge base consistent and complete by correcting them automatically or by making expert correct them if it fails.

The Analysis of the Factors of the Effectiveness of Science Teacher as Perceived by Students through the Perspective of Teacher Knowledge (교사 지식의 관점에서 학생들이 인식하는 과학 교사 효과성 요인 분석)

  • This study has investigated the factors that make a science teacher effective by analyzing students' perception of teacher knowledge required in enhancing their science learning. The basic components of teacher knowledge identified by previous researchers have been confirmed through Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). Based on the findings of the EFA, the questionnaire has been further analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) by means of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). In addition, the differences in students' perception on the identified factors of effectiveness have also been analyzed in terms of gender and achievement level. The findings of the EFA showed that five factors of science teacher effectiveness were identified; namely, substantive knowledge, syntactic knowledge, knowledge of students' understandings, knowledge of instructional strategies, and knowledge of assessment. These five components have been divided into two categories of teacher knowledge, SMK and PCK. What we found from the CFA was the respective high correlation between substantive and syntactic knowledge, knowledge of students' understanding and instructional strategies and the low correlation between substantive knowledge and knowledge of instructional strategies. Students perceived substantive knowledge as the most effective factor, knowledge of assessment as the least effective factor. Also, there have been considerable differences in students' perception by gender and achievement level. We proposed, based on the findings, that SMK and PCK need to be integrated into a coherent manner for the effective science teaching practice. This study provides some implications for science teacher professional development and the improvement of science teacher preparation program.

온톨로지를 활용한 자동화될 규칙 습득 방법론 및 효과 분석

  • 시맨틱 웹 관련연구가 증가함에 따라 지능형 에이전트 혹은 규칙기반 시스템 등의 지능적인 웹 환경에 대한 기대 역시 커지고 있다. 그러나 규칙기반 시스템의 활용에는 아직도 규칙습득이 많은 제약이 되고 있다. 이와 같은 제약을 극복하기 위해 웹 페이지로부터 규칙을 습득하기 위한 XRML 방법론이 제안되었다. XRML 방법론은 웹 페이지로부터 규칙을 식별하고 식별된 결과로부터 자동으로 규칙을 생성하는 두 단계로 구성되어 있다. 여기서 규칙의 식별은 규칙생성의 자동화 정도에 매우 중요한 영향을 미친다. 그러나 규칙을 식별하는 작업은 대부분 지식관리자의 수작업에 의존하고 있다. 이러한 지식관리자의 부담을 줄이기 위해 본 논문에서는 온톨로지 기반의 개선된 규칙식별 방법론을 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해 먼저 OntoRule이라는 이름의 온톨로지를 설계하였다. OntoRule은 자동화된 규칙 식별을 지원하기 위해 사용되며, 규칙의 구성요소들과 구조에 대한 정보를 포함하고 있다. 그리고 OntoRule을 이용하여 규칙을 식별하는 절하를 제안하였다. OntoRule과 규칙식별 절차를 제안하는 과정에서 온톨로지 학습효과, 하향식 접근방식과 상향식 접근방식의 차이, 온톨로지 적용범위 관리, 규칙 구성요소의 식별순서, 생략된 별수의 식별과 같은 놈점들이 고려되었다. 마지막으로 실험을 통해 제안된 방법론의 효과를 보였다.

  • This study focus on the structural relationships among business strategies, its various execution types and business performances from the viewpoint of many managerial aspects. These many kinds of management activities are carried out in order to revitalize the E-Business system. The objective of this study is to find out the structural effect of this various kinds of managerial strategies on the practice type of knowledge management such as dynamic and behavioral approach. And also the effect of knowledge management activities on the business performance. The result of this study shows that management strategy for marketing, procurement/logistics and service has positive influences on systematic, behavioral approach as well as the knowledge execution types has positive influence on the management performances.

  • Following the announcement made in 2007of the information education curriculum for high schools, India followed through with a similar announcement in June 2013 for an elementary school curriculum to be linked with that of the high schools. As a characteristic feature of India's educational curriculum, the structure is "helical" in nature, while interaction between teachers and students is emphasized as a key method for education. During the past few years India has revised its educational curriculum based on Bruner's 'Structure of Knowledge,' which has changed the paradigm of the nation's educational curriculum. This study analyzed India's educational curriculum that aims at a helical structure and, at the same time, emphasizes 'narrative' thinking in schools. The goal of this study is to discover possible suggestions or implications for Korea's information education curriculum by analyzing India's education that concurrently seeks to employ 'Structure of Knowledge' and 'Narrative' theories in a single educational curriculum.
