Factors Affecting Satisfaction and Continuous Use Intention of Subscription Economy (구독경제 이용 만족도 및 지속 이용 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • Due to the progress of the 4th industrial revolution and the COVID-19 pandemic, the subscription economy was rapidly expanding. In particular, the subscription economy was expected to expand further as the servicing of products(servitization) rapidly progresses. In this study, we tried to empirically analyze the factors that promote and hinder the spread of the subscription economy from the consumer's point of view. To this end, based on the Service Profit Chain (SPC) model, which identified mechanisms leading from quality to satisfaction, loyalty, and performance, a research model was established by combining the framework of the Value-based Adoption Model (VAM), which covers both benefit and sacrifice factors. Usefulness and convenience were derived as benefit factors, and perceived risks and perceived costs were derived as sacrifice factors. The effects of these factors on satisfaction and continuous use intention were analyzed. For empirical analysis, a survey was conducted targeting people who have experience in subscription economy, and 300 effective samples were analyzed. The analysis was performed as a structural equation model using AMOS 24. As a result of the empirical study, it was found that convenience had a significant positive (+) effect on satisfaction. Perceived risk and perceived cost were analyzed to have a negative (-) effect on satisfaction. On the other hand, usefulness was found to have no significant effect on satisfaction. The influences affecting satisfaction were in the order of perceived cost, convenience, and perceived risk. Satisfaction was found to have a significant positive (+) effect on continuous use intention. The results of this study were considered meaningful in that they broadened the horizons of research by combining existing validated models at the academic level and testing their validity, and found that perceived cost was still an important factor at the practical level.

A Study on Middle School Student Users' Perceptions of Spatial Characteristics of School Libraries as Reading Spaces (독서공간으로서 학교도서관 공간특성 요소에 대한 중학생 이용자 인식에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to understand students' perceptions of the spatial characteristics of school libraries when they use them for reading. We selected a set of spatial characteristics by reviewing the literature and conducting a preliminary investigation. Then, we examined how students perceived the importance of and how satisfied they were with each characteristic. In addition, we investigated how students' perceptions differ by the library uses and reading-related activities. We also studied whether the satisfaction of school library users affects their continued use of the libraries. We also verified whether school library user satisfaction is an intervening variable in continued-use intention, which is affected by spatial characteristics perception. We conducted a survey of 342 students from four middle schools. The analysis of the survey outcomes shows differences in library use due to spatial characteristics such as convenience, communicability, diversity, and safety. Factors such as communicability, comfortability, and ambience affected user satisfaction positively. Both aesthetics and communicability also positively influenced the continued-use intention. Furthermore, we identified that communicability, comfortability, and ambience eventually impacted the continued-use intention via user satisfaction, an intervening variable. The significance of this study is that it considered the direction of the school library to support students' reading by regarding the school library as a space for reading.

  • Recently, with coming of various channels, the public are communicating with unspecified massive consumers through personal broadcasting. It is becoming more popular as a positive response. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of characteristics of personal broadcasting contents on perceived value, perceived value on continuous use intention and the interaction effect of novelty seeking. As a result of verifying the effects of information quality, information trust, and entertainment on the perceived value, the characteristics of personal media contents all showed a significant positive effect and perceived value has a positive effect on continuous use intention. But The interaction effect of novelty seeking and perceived value is not significant. Therefore, content creators should make efforts to create content as much as to the trust of content as entertainment elements in content and composition. In the future, it will be meaningful to proceed with the research on the direct effects of the novelty trend and the various factors affecting viewers' characteristics using personal media contents.

How Does the Negative Response to Digital Shadow Work Influence the Continuous Use Intention of Users?: The Moderating Effect of Gratification Delay Ability (디지털 그림자노동에 대한 부정적 반응은 지속사용의도에 어떻게 영향을 미치나?: 만족지연능력의 조절효과)

  • Digital transformation and the COVID-19 pandemic have facilitated the rapid development and dissemination of non-face-to-face technologies such as self-service technologies (SSTs). This research investigates how motivation factors affect consumers' negative responses to digital shadow work (DSW) in SSTs which decreases their continuous use intention of SSTs. Also, we examine whether the grafication delay ability moderates the relationship between consumers' negative responses to DSW and their continuous use intention of SSTs. By an analysis of usable 450 user respondents via SmartPLS 4.0, perceived benefits was found to significantly influence consumers' negative responses to DSW. Also, consumers' negative responses to DSW can significantly decrease their intention to continue using SSTs. Further, the effect of negative responses to DSW on continuous use intention of SSTs is stronger in case of consumers with low gratification delay ability than in case of consumers with high gratification delay ability. The study findings contribute to providing some strategies for companies operating SSTs by examining the effects of consumer's responses to DSW and gratification delay ability on the continuous usage intention of SSTs.

모바일 증권 서비스 이용에 관한 연구

  • As the development of wireless technologies continue, mobile stock trading has become a new channel for companies to reach their customers. This study examines the factors affecting customer acceptance of mobile stock trading services. The research model based on the previous studies was established and the research hypotheses were generated. The sample was divided into users and nonuser groups. The test results show that relative advantage and social influence are positively related to intention to accept mobile services as well as in intention to reuse, security risk is negatively related to intention to reuse, frequency of trading is positively related to intention to reuse, cost burden is negatively related to the probability of using mobile stock trading services, and social influence is positively related to the probability of using mobile services. The results also support that information quality and response time are positively related to relative advantage, and interface quality is negatively related to complexity. It is considered that the study results may help managers to increase customer use of mobile stock trading services.

Effects of Hotel Using Experience on Customers' Purchase and Behavior Intention (호텔이용 경험이 구매의사와 고객행동의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of the hotel using experience on customers' purchase and behavior intention. For this study, a total of 306 questionnaires among collected data for customers who hotel using experience at five star hotels located in Seoul from April 1, 2015 to April 30, 2015 was to ensure a valid sample. As a result of the experiments which conducted by factor analysis and regression analysis, it shows 1% level positive significant effects in purchase and continual purchase intention of "emotional experiencer", "physical experience factor", "continuous experience factor", and "superior experience factor", but it is 10% level significant effects in continual purchase intention positively effected continual purchase intention of "physical experience factor". Also, it shows 1% level positive significant effects on hotel customers' intention of reused, intention of suggestion, intention of recommendation of "emotional experiencer", "physical experience factor", "continuous experience factor", and "superior experience factor". From the study, it is expected to build hotel-customer relationship and brand level of awareness for activating customers' loyalty.

  • With the launch of Apple iPhone, platform and contents and design characteristics were highlights of the new factors. In addition, Smartphone users have increased explosively. In this research, we aim to analyze factors affecting on repurchase intention of a Smartphone based on Technology Acceptance Model(TAM). External factors such as platform, contents and design are identified through literature review and the influences of these factors on repurchase intention are assessed. A questionnaire survey was conducted to those who lived in Busan and Gyeongnam province. This research used Smart PLS(partial least squares) to analyze the structural relationship between those factors and repurchase intention. Analytical results show that all paths except path from platform to perceived ease of use are significant. This study suggests practical and theoretical implications based on the results.

The Effect of UI Usability of Mobile Healthcare Applications on Technostress and Continuous Use Intention: Focusing on Elderly Users (모바일 헬스케어 애플리케이션의 UI 사용성이 테크노스트레스와 지속사용의도에 미치는 영향: 고령의 사용자를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to empirically verify how UI usability of mobile healthcare applications affects the perception of technostress and continuous use of elderly users. Through this, the effect of UI usability of mobile healthcare applications on technostress and continuous use intention was demonstrated for 199 people aged over 60. As a result, all four sub-factors of UI usability had a significant effect on technostress, and the magnitude of the influence was found to be in the order of content, process, design, and system. On the other hand, it was found that technostress had a significant effect on the intention of continued use. Through the above results, a UI design strategy that can lead to continuous use by relieving the technostress experienced by the elderly was suggested. This provides academic and practical implications for the future development and service direction of mobile healthcare applications for the elderly.

  • Various services have been provided due to the recent development of IT technology and widespread usage of smartphones. In recent years, Fintech service that provides financial services through mobile devices has been the trending issue. However, mobile payment services haven't been widely used. The risk factors that appear when users seek to utilize a service, in particular, is one of the biggest hinderance in the expansion of mobile payment services. The failure of gaining the trust of the consumers appear to be the continuing hinderance factor. Therefore this study is to analyse the impact of perceived risk factors on trust and continuance intention of mobile payment services. For the research purpose, we conducted survey and the research results show that most of perceived risk factors have influence on trust and continuance intention except on the impact of perceived financial risk on trust.

  • Environmental changes, which are strongly requiring technological cooperation, such as technological development and strategic alliances according to industrial ecosystem change, have a significant impact on not only product quality but also services. Thus, there is a need for 'servitization' that can satisfy the needs of customers and the ecosystem of businesses through the convergence of manufacturing companies and services. This study uses the Expectation-Confirmation Model to examine the impact on user satisfaction and Continuance Usage Intention. Research(Study) was conducted on users who are using high-tech-based cars. For this, we used Expectation Confirmation(match expections for the user's pre-and post-use relationships), Perceived Ease, Perceived Usefulness, User Satisfaction and Habitual Use and using Continuance Usage Intention as a dependent variable. Their causation was examined with the spss 26.0 and smartpls 2.0 statistical programs. As implications of this study, Expectation Confirmation has been shown to have significant positive effects on Perceived Ease, Perceived Usefulness, User Satisfaction and Habitual Use. For this results, the expectations before and after the use of high-tech cars lead to improved daily lives convenience and(or) work efficiency, leading to user satisfaction and further Continuance Usage Intention. Motors consider it important to pursue the work improvements that consumers want and use it useful in daily lives in the production and sale of high-tech cars. It is expected that it will create natural habits for services that users are satisfied with, and that these habits will affect the continuous growth and understanding of the trend of change.
