A Study on the Fat Contents and Nutritional Status of Urban High School Girls (일부도시지역(一部都市地域)의 여자중고등학생(女子中高等學生)들의 총지방량(總脂肪量) 및 영양상태(營養狀態)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究)(I))

  • For the measurement of the fat contents and nutritional status of urban High School girls, an intensive examination was conducted on a total of 2,085 students from 13 to 19 years of age groups. Total body fat cotents were measured by Skin-fold thickness with a Skin-fold Caliper manufactured by Cambridge Scientific Industrial Inc. at four sites of the body and it was calculated by Kim's regression equation. And Heights, Weights, and Chest circumferences were measured with Martin's Anthropometer. As the results of this study, the following conclusions were obtained: 1. The averages of heights, weights and chest girths were 153.1 cm, 46.2 kg and 76.6 cm. respectively. 2. The mean Skin-fold thicknesses of each site measured with a Lange skin-fold Caliper were: Sub-scapular: $13.44\;mm{\pm}4.41\;mm$. Abdominal : $10.55\;mm{\pm}4.02\;mm$. Lumbar: $10.56\;mm{\pm}4.06\;mm$. Upper arm: $15.35\;mm{\pm}4.37\;mm$. Total Average: $12.46\;mm{\pm}4.48\;mm$. 3. The average Skin-fold thicknesaes by age were as follow: ·9.02 mm at 13 years of age. 10.04 at 14, 11.82 at 15, 14.43 at 16, 15.12 at 17, 16.48 at 18, and 16.61 at 19 respectively. 4. The mean of fat contents calculated according to regression equation was 11.04kg. (9.14 at 13, 9.98 at 14, 11.12 at 15, 11.74 at 16, 12.21 at 17, 12.96 at 18, 13.29 at 19 respectively.)

  • 우리나라는 기상이변에 따른 게릴라성 집중호우의 빈도 및 강우량이 해가 거듭할수록 증가함에 따라 이로 인한 피해지역의 범위 및 피해액이 계속 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 국가 및 각 연구기관들은 전국의 자연유역 및 도시유역에 대해 홍수범람의 예상지역 및 대피지도 작성 등을 통해 재해에 대한 사전 피해예방및 보험제도 등으로 그 피해를 경감하고자 각종 사업 및 연구를 활발히 진행하고 있다. 이러한 연구에 주로 이용되는 것이 지리정보시스템(GIS)으로서, 기존 수작업 과정 등을 통해 소요되는 많은 시간과 비용적 투자를 획기적으로 줄이면서도 보다 정밀도 있는 홍수범람지도를 작성하는데 크게 이바지 하고 있다. 하지만 강력하고 광범위적인 기능의 GIS 프로그램에 대한 이해 및 원시자료의 부족과 이 자료들을 이용한 실제 지형 구축 및 편집 등의 어려움으로 GIS를 이용한 홍수범람해석은 여전히 실무에서 널리 적용되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 실무적 적용성 및 범용성을 고려하여 자연유역이 대부분 포함되는 지방2급 고부천 유역을 대상으로 최근 토목 전반의 평면적 2D설계 개념에서 입체적 3D설계로 변화하는데 중요한 역할을 하고 있는 Autodesk사의 Civil 3D를 이용하여 수치지형도 및 측량데이터 등 다양한 원시자료로부터 실제 지형과 매우 유사한 3D 지형을 구축하고, Civil 3D의 3rd Party 프로그램인 Engineered Efficiency사의 EE HEC-RAS Tool을 이용하여 하천정비 기본계획 및 소하천정비 종합계획 등 실무에서 홍수위 계산에 가장 많이 이용되는 1차원 수치모형인 HEC-RAS와 전 후처리를 연계함으로서 빈도별 홍수위에 따른 홍수범람 수심 및 범람지역 등을 산정하였다. 본 연구는 실무 설계에서 가장 많이 이용하는 Autodesk 프로그램의 적용을 통해 기존 GIS개념 및 프로그램의 이해부족과 편집의 어려움을 해소하여 실무적 홍수범람해석에 시간적, 비용적 효율성을 높이고 기존 수작업의 오류를 보완함으로서 보다 정밀한 홍수범람해석 및 치수경제성 분석에 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다.

A Study on the Change of Dental Scaling Experience in Some Areas after Applying Scaling Insurance (스케일링 보험적용에 따른 일부지역의 스케일링 경험 변화 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the regional change of dental scaling experience by scaling insurance coverage in July, 2013. The data were used in the "Community Health Survey" of the 2012 and 2014. The results of the study are as follows; 1) The subjective oral health status and brushing of lunch was highest in Gangnam-gu in both 2012 and 2014(p<0.001). 2) Regular dental check-up was high in Gangnam-gu in both 2012 and 2014(p<0.001). 3) The Scaling experience rate increased in all three regions(p<0.001). 4) The socio-demographic characteristics and scaling experience were higher in 2012 and 2014(p<0.001). The scaling experience was higher when there were office workers and spouses(p<0.001). From the policy perspective, it seems necessary to take measures to reduce the gap in scaling experience rate due to differences in income and unequal medical environment.

대구시 대기환경구조 특성에 관한 고찰

  • 대구시는 여름철을 제외하고 서북서풍내지 서풍으로 서풍계열의 바람이 우세하여 지리적으로 서쪽에 위치한 공장지대와 신흥 부도심의 영향이 도심지 내부에 크게 나타날 수밖에 없는 그런 구조를 가지고 있으므로 도심내의 녹지공원 조성과 같은 오아시스 효과로 자연형 대기 순환 구조를 구축하지 않을 경우 환경오염과 지구온난화로 인한 심각한 피해가 초래할 수 있으므로 친환경도시를 위한 준비를 소홀히 해서는 않된다고 사료된다. 아울러 대구광역시의 연평균 대기오염물질의 농도는 $PM_{10}$, $NO_2$ 제외하고 환경기준을 초과한 것은 없으며, 주로 자동차와 주변 공장에 의한 오염원이 대부분임을 알 수 있었다. 또한 $PM_{10}$의 경우 대구시에 산재한 환경측정만 대부분의 지점에서 환경기준을 초과하고 있으므로 디젤 자동차 및 비산먼지 저감 등 미세분진에 대한 저감 대책을 신속히 마련하여야 한다고 생각한다. 그리고 대구시의 $O_3$$PM_{10}$의 고농도 현상은 고기압이 장시간 우리나라를 지배하면서 대기가 안정되고 바람이 약하여 국지풍의 발달이 용이할 경우 도심지내에 고농도 오염을 야기하고 있으며 지형적으로 도심의 오염물이 다른 지역으로 수송되거나 확산이 용이하지 않는 지형구조를 갖고 있으므로 도심을 흐르는 신천을 바람통로 이용하고 도심에 녹지공간 형성 및 도심지의 불투수성 지표면을 잔디 이식을 통한 자연형 도로로 바꾸어 줌으로서 도심내의 열 축적 현상을 줄이고 증발산을 도울 수 있는 cold island 역할을 증대시킬 수 있을 것이다. 이와 같은 사업은 풍속이 약하고 건조한 독일을 포함한 유럽의 내륙지방에서 활발하며 최근에는 해안에 있는 대도시에 저온의 해풍 또는 강바람을 도심에 유입시켜 도시열섬을 완화하고자 하는 시도가 일본을 포함한 아시아 국가에서 많은 관심을 가지고 있다(Ichinose, 1999, 2000; 김해동 외, 2002).

Preference of Common Spaces and Shared Activities in Senior Cohousing Community by Korean 50s - In Reference to Difference between Seoul and Other Cities - (한국인 50대의 노인용 코하우징 공유공간과 공동활동에 대한 선호 - 서울과 지방도시 간 차이 비교를 중심으로 -)

  • The aim of this paper is to find out different preference of common spaces and shared activities in senior cohousing community between regions in Korea: Seoul and other cities. Social survey was conducted nationwide and the respondents were 50s only, since they are the generation who will face to elderly housing subject within 10 years in turbulent Korean society. Collected data, about 1000, were analyzed by SPSS program using frequency, percentage, and Chi-square test. In summary, respondents mostly would like to move to senior cohousing on circumstance when they remain alone without big difference between regions. Loneliness and housekeeping were considered as the most difficult issues for the elderly to manage by themselves. Among common spaces, exercise room was the most preferred space to meeting room and kitchen. Exercise room was more preferred in Seoul than in other cities, on the contrary meeting room was evidently less preferred in other cities than in Seoul. Regarding shared activities, resident meeting, gardening, and common meal were revealed as less preferred activities than hobby exercise and tea meeting. As a conclusion, I would like to propose that a big common living room is better to be designed for meeting room cum dining and gathering room with flexibility in order to give residents chances to know each other more often. And since common space and shared activity show different preferences by regions, those are to be designed and planned reflecting region's different circumstance.

Making Primary Policies for Reducing Particulate Matter (미세먼지 저감을 위한 정책 선정 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out primary policies for reducing PM(particulate matter) as well as for improving the quality of life. Serious particulate matters cause to diverse healthcare and economy problems including business transactions. Unfortunately, until recently there are very few researches regarding the decision-making process for particulate matter policies. This study has applied the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) method to develop cooperative policy making processes. The upper layer of this hierarchy analysis consists of four parts, i.e., transportation, production facility, living environment, and urban planning management. And each upper layer parts has their own three policies. 25 experts including policy-makers, academic researchers and industrial specialists have decided the primary policies and directions. The most significant PM policy is the mandatory reduction of air pollution and suspension of factory operation in the production industry. The results of this study can lead to guidelines for making environmental policies.

  • As recent traffic policy focuses on reduction of congestion and environmental contamination, with a catch phrase, 'Green Traffic', Low Carbon Green Growth' and 'Sustainable Development', introducing the new eco-friendly transport means including railway has been emerging as critical issue. Included in the new transport means are BRT, Bimodal Tram and LRT, and this study was intended to evaluate and analyze Bimodal, among others, which generates less emission, noise and vibration thanks to hybrid type traction system employed by Bimodal Tram, which is considered a future-oriented system because of eco-friendly features and cost efficiency as well as punctuality and convenient accessibility to bus. Thus in this study, appropriateness of Bimodal Tram comparing to other system(BRT) was suggested, using conversion traffic from the road, traffic speed and CO2 emission at the metropolitan area and large provincial areas as the barometer in evaluation, and furthermore, the measures applicable to introduction strategy that will meet various functional aspects in urban area in the coming days were developed.

The Study for the Usage of Neighborhood Parks as a Festival Space in Small and Medium Sized Cities (지방 중소도시 근린공원의 축제공간적 활용에 관한 연구)

  • In 2011, neighborhood parks occupied a total area of $280,135,257m^2$ in small and medium sized city areas and this excluded the metropolitan regions. In the rural area, the park area per person($22.64m^2$) is larger than the urban area($9.50m^2$). It is a questionable why there is a higher park ratio in the rural area compared to the cities, where the function of the neighborhood parks is not being utilized well. But, there are already a lot of parks that has been constructed in the rural areas and a lot of money is being spent in maintaining them. Hence, rather than reducing the number of "country parks", it can be suggested that these "country parks" ought to be utilized in a different manner than the parks in the city. In that point of view, this study examined the issues of the country park usage along with the utilization of the local festivals within the parks. Firstly in this context, this study compared the amount of neighborhood parks between small and medium sized cities and metropolitan areas, and analyzed those results. Secondly, daily newspaper articles were collected and categorized to find the usage of the rural park which were then analyzed. Then, the extraction of the essential points in composing the festival space was carried out. Also, the general design guides of making the neighborhood parks were drawn. Last but not least, using these two resources, this study suggested design guidelines for using neighborhood parks as a Festival Space in small and medium sized cities.

A Study on the Estimate Real Time Delay Model using BIS Data (버스정보시스템(BIS) 운행데이터를 이용한 실시간 지체시간 산정모형 구축)

  • This study is to estimate delay time model of signalized intersection by using travel data of Bus Information System. BIS, which applies the advanced information technology to an existing bus system, has been developing and operating in many cities. However, even though some useful traffic informations have been collected from BIS operation, utilization of real-time data to the traffic operation has not been promoted due to the inhomogeneity of modal speeds. Accordingly, in this study, a fundamental research is performed for traffic controls in urban areas and providing a traffic information throughout a methodology for estimating delay time using the data from BIS was developed. This delay time model setting bus travel time excluding service time of a bus stop as explanatory variables was constructed as a regression model, and the coefficient of determination of a linear regression model most highly appeared as 0.826. As a result of performing T-test with field survey values and model estimation values for verifying constructed models statistically, it was analyzed to be statistically significant in a confidence level of 95%.

Employment Structure of University Graduates and Regional Development: A Case Study of Chonnam National University (전남대학교 졸업생의 취업구조와 지역발전)

  • Regarding human capital development and the competitive advantage of regional economies, the transfer of local university graduates to the local labor market is a very important factor. This study aims to investigate the employment structure of university graduates and spatial patterns of their jobs, and the job search strategies to enter the employment system with a case study of Chonnam National University graduates. Because of the lagged industrial structure and peripheral location of Kwangju/Chonnam Province, the employment rate of the university graduates is generally lower than a national average. And there is a strong tendency of the concentration of job places on the metropolitan areas on the one hand, and on the Kwangju/chonnarn and Capital region of Korea on the other. University graduates in searching for jobs especially prefer spatial mobility toward job opportunities In other regions to promoting the flexibility of job qualifications to meet labor market demands. Based on the results of the study, we can identify a process of so-called train drains'in both quantitative and qualitative terms, and conclude that the role of the Chonnam National University in promoting regional development potentials and local labor market conditions is Quite restrictive.
