증거기반 창업교육: 대학 교재 분석

  • '증거기반 교육'은 개인적 경험이나 성공 사례, 그리고 전통적인 속설보다는 과학적 연구결과와 근거가 중심이 되는 교육이다. 증거기반 창업 교육은 기존 속설과 믿음, 단편적 성공 사례로 인해 고착된 인지 편향을 완화시켜 중립적인 시각을 견지할 수 있으며, 직관과 경험을 넘어 데이터와 연구 결과에 의해 의사결정을 하는 분석적 자질을 연마하는데 기여한다. 본 논문은 현재 국내의 증기기반 창업교육의 현주소를 명확히 파악하기 위하여 1999년부터 2021년 출판된 49권의 창업교육 대학 교재를 분석하였다. 구체적으로 모든 도서의 내용을 1)창업기초, 2)비즈니스모델, 3)마케팅계획, 4)재무계획, 5)운영계획, 6)창업유형, 7)절차 및 제도의 각 7가지 기준으로 구분하고, 각각 사례, 단순통계, 변인 통계, 선행 연구의 비중을 분석하였다. 분석결과 증거의 핵심인 선행연구의 비중은 전체 교재의 총 분량 중 11.25%를 차지하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 Charlier(2011)의 MBA 교과목 대상으로 조사한 결과와 유사한 값이다.

Middle School Gifted Students' Evidence-Based Reasoning about the Shape of a Planet's Orbit (행성 궤도의 모양에 관한 중학교 영재 학생들의 증거 기반 추론)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics of evidence-based reasoning practiced by middle school gifted students. Data were collected through an online task in which middle school students in gifted education institutes of a university located in the metropolitan area, Korea, performed inquiry about the shape of a planet's orbit. The students were given data of Mercury's greatest elongations and asked to draw the planet's orbit with the data. Each of the students was also asked to provide his or her hypothesis of Mercury's orbit before the drawing and to reason about the orbit again using his or her own drawing as evidence. The content analysis of the students' reports revealed 5 different types of judgement about the shape of Mercury's orbit, 4 types of reasoning about the hypothesis and evidence, and the characteristics of evidence-based reasoning within the judgement types. Based upon the analysis results, the importance of proper interpretations of evidence in evidence-based reasoning, the core role of the theory-evidence coordination, and the usefulness of working with multiple hypotheses were discussed. In addition, implications for earth science education were suggested.

The Effect of Negotiation in Argument-Based Inquiry on Middle School Students’ Claim and Evidence (논의기반 탐구에서 협상이 중학생들의 주장-증거 변화에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of negotiation in Argument-Based Inquiry on students’ claim and evidence. A total of 126 first grade middle school students participated in this study and they performed five Argument-Based Inquiry (ABI) programs for one academic a year. To investigate the process of generating claim and evidence through the ABI, we interviewed students after they completed five ABI activities. The study findings showed that students ability to make claim and evidence improved as they progressed from individual activity to group activity in ABI activity and as ABI activities. The results also showed that students generated high level of claim and evidence through internal and external negotiation in ABI programs.

Impact of Student Assessment Activities on Claim and Evidence Formation in High School Argument-Based Inquiry (고등학교 논의기반 탐구 과학수업에서 학생 평가활동이 주장과 증거 형성에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of student assessment activities on claim and evidence formation in argument-based inquiry (ABI) for high school students. The participants of the study were 166 grade 10 students from six different classes in the same high school. The experimental group (84 students) was taught Argument-Based Inquiry with students' self and peer assessment activities. The comparative group (82 students) was taught without the activities. Over one semester students participated in five ABI programs that we developed. According to the analysis of the claim and evidence from groups, the experimental group had a significantly higher mean score than the comparative group. The result of analysis of students' assessment in the experimental group, the frequency about accurate and sufficient evidence revealed to be high and students assessed whether peers' claims fit with the evidence and whether peers' explanations of the evidence's validity was sufficient. Students' answers in the survey and interviews showed that the students though they could improve the accuracy of their ideas, appropriateness of their evidence, and the method of presenting evidence based on the assessment results.

  • Corporations report their economical, environmental, social influences and achievements through sustainability reports. Apart from the financial reports, which are subject to legal restrictions, sustainability reports inform non financial achievements of a corporation, thus the reliability of the information is solely dependent on the corporation itself. The current sustainability reports are of types that cannot include proof or source of the index data, thus they are tended to be regarded as means of publicity. The reliability of the reports is often questioned. This research applied the concept of Evidence-Based Accountability, which will allow the confirmation of accountability through records including contents and context of the tasks. Evidence-Based Accountability means producing and accumulating witness records of actions, then managing the records as usable information and use them as accountability information. Index data from sustainability reports of domestic corporations and web based reports of Vodafone was reviewed. Measures to link task records as proof of index data was studied. To make this possible, record production and acquisition system was redesigned in order to secure required records as evidence. Linked build-up of SR system and RMS was proposed. The proposed system will allow collection and management of records as SR accountability information, and provide the data when necessary. Also, corporate infrastructure was proposed. This infrastructure will build a professional records management system in stages, through organizational system and regulations. Cooperation of staff in this infrastructure will support reliable corporate accountability.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of Argument-based Inquiry activities on the claims and evidence in elementary students' science writing. Participants were thirty three fifth grade elementary school students and argument-based inquiry activities on five topics were implemented. We analyzed the Summary Writing samples written by students to investigate the effect of the Argument-based inquiry activities on elementary students' claims and evidence in their science writing, and also analyzed the writing samples of the experimental group to which the Argument-based inquiry activities were implemented, to examine the change of claims and evidence. The results of this study showed that the mean of experimental group was significantly higher than that of the comparison group. As a result of analyzing claims and evidence in Summary Writing of experimental group, the level of claim and evidence has tended to increase gradually as the number of classes progresses.

  • This study is based on a review of how and in which stages evidence can be used, in practice, in the policy process and proposes an information analysis framework capable of inducing continuous interaction among stakeholders and an operation procedure that allows experts to reconcile conflicts through the analyzed information. In particular, it focuses on the strategic planning process carried out in the policy formation stage of the R&D policy process, which promotes the creation of knowledge related to science and technology required to improve national competitiveness and solve social and environmental problems. Conflicts are negotiated and resolved by ensuring rationality in the policy process, following the operation procedure and inducing communication between the stakeholders participating in national R&D strategic planning related to the issue of population aging throughout utilizing the provided useful information. Our results showed that the proposed operating procedures and information analysis framework had a positive effect on the communication-oriented shift. Thus, in order to promote conflict management, an agreed operating procedures and information analysis framework should be established between stakeholders, thereby reducing a conflict of opinions in advance. This article realizes the true meaning of movement of evidence-based policies. In addition, the framework is helping support evidence-based R&D policies by strengthening rational behavior.

  • This study examined elementary mathematics teacher's guidebook to determine the inclusion level of 11 critical features of evidence based instruction. And the inclusion level of the features in teacher's guidebook were interpreted as 'Low', 'Middle' and 'High'. The results are as followings. First, The overall inclusion level of the features in teacher's guidebook is 'Middle' The inclusion level of the features in teacher's guidebook for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th were 'Middle' but for 5th and 6th were 'Low'. Second, the inclusion level of the features 'Clarity of Objective', 'Single Concepts and Skill Taught', 'Use of Manipulatives and Representation', 'Explicit Instruction', 'Provision of Examples for new concepts and skill', 'Adequate Independent Practice Opportunities' and 'Progress Monitoring' were 'Middle' The inclusion level of the features 'Review of Prerequisite Mathematical Skills', 'Error correction and Corrective Feedback' and 'Instruction of Strategies' were 'Low'. And discussed the results.

  • 사실 검증(Fact verification) 문제는 문서 검색(Document retrieval), 증거 선택(Evidence selection), 증거 검증(Claim verification) 3가지 단계로 구성되어있다. 사실 검증 모델들의 주요 관심사인 증거 검증 단계에서 많은 모델이 제안되는 가운데 증거 선택 단계에 집중하여 강화 학습을 통해 해결한 모델이 제안되었다. 그래프 기반의 모델과 강화 학습 기반의 사실 검증 모델을 소개하고 각 모델을 한국어 사실 검증에 적용해본다. 또한, 두 모델을 같이 사용하여 각 모델의 장점을 가지는 부분을 병렬적으로 결합한 모델의 성능과 증거의 구성 단위에 따른 성능도 비교한다.
