In an attempt to promote reading among middle school students which has been declining sharply, this study suggests new directions for reading education in school libraries. The study examined the following: correlation between students' attitudes toward reading and their reading achievements as revealed in PISA 2009, nationwide survey results on reading, and studies on attitudes and motives for reading. Korean students' reading achievement is very high among the OECD countries but their reading attitude is not positive enough. The strong positive relationship between pleasure reading and reading achievement indicates the importance of the provision of ample collections at school libraries as well as library programs fostering independent, free-will reading. Reading programs at school libraries should cater to students' individual characteristics and needs, such as their sex, abilities, affective and cognitive attitudes, experiences, as well as the quantity, the formats, and the time of their reading, etc.
This study is aimed at verifying the effect of class-based group art therapy program on child's emotional regulation and school adjustment improvement. The target of this study consisted of the lowest-leveled 3rd graders among the students attending A Elementary School, located in 00, Daejeon City, who were tested for school adjustment. The class-based group art therapy program was implemented from October 15, 2014 to November 19, 2014, once a week, for 40 minutes for each session, a total of six rounds. For this study, the scale of emotional regulation and school adjustment was used by pre-post comparison. As an analysis method for verifying the effects of this study, ANCOVA was used in consideration of pre-test, in comparison of post-test results between groups, regarding the scale factors of emotional regulation and school adjustment. As a result of analysis, first, child's emotional regulation was significantly improved after the program performance. Second, child's school adjustment. was significantly improved after the program performance. In conclusion, class-based group art therapy program let children see through the process of emotional change, and properly regulate their emotions. At the same time, the program provided situations in which peers meet together casually, giving a positive change for school adjustment improvement based on the peer relationship. In addition, this study has a meaning to help enjoying school life, by constructing a proper program to be applied at school in a variety of ways.

The purpose of this study is to show the reading aloud has good influence on students from $3^{rd}$ to $5^{th}$ grade to improve their reading attitude and self-esteem. For performing the study, the experiment group consists of children of 10 groups in 10 elementary schools from 7 regions, while the control group is made up the class of certain grade in participation school. Students in experimental groups are respectively read 5 books assigned from each group on total 13 times-for 60 minutes once a week. For measuring the reading attitude and self-esteem of students, we use modified questionnaires. The result in here statistically presents reading aloud activity have a meaningful effect to improve the overall reading attitude which includes subordinate areas such as awareness, behavior, emotional area of elementary students. Also, this activity gives elementary students the positive effect to develop their self-esteem, but it does not mean statistically except self-esteem of social-peers. As a result, the reading aloud activity provides the schoolchild with enjoyable reading experience.
The purpose of this study was to explore and better understand special education music teachers' perceptions of their music curriculum. For this purpose, we conducted a focus group interview with seven special education music teachers. During the interview, four major themes and 14 sub-themes were identified. The main themes were the following: (a) types of applied activities and the goals of music classes (e.g., activities to be applied in various ways depending on the characteristics of the disability and intended outcome), (b) difficulty in implementing the music curriculum (e.g., lack of fit between textbook and students' chronological ages, lack of time and focus, self-evaluation of performance as a music teacher, (c) therapeutic experiences during music classes (e.g., expectation for positive effects through music therapy, joy of witnessing changes in students, and sense of togetherness), and (d) obstacles to the therapeutic approach of music classes and need for support (e.g., lack of professional knowledge regarding therapeutic approaches and problems with administrators and school environment). Based on these results, problems in implementing the music therapy approach as part of the music curriculum in special education schools are discussed and practical solutions for educators are offered.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the preferred SSI topics of students and teachers in elementary, middle, and high schools. It analyzed the similarity of students' and teachers' preferred SSI topics by school level using the cosine similarity measure. A total of 566 students and 327 teachers from elementary, middle, and high schools participated in the study. Sixty topics were identified and listed in the areas of environment, science and technology, health and medicine, and other social issues based on the literature and SSI programs. Students and teachers were asked to select five of their favorite topics. The data was collected online using SurveyMonkey. The collected data was divided into six groups of students and teachers, and the frequency of topic selection was analyzed within each group. The topic preference similarity was analyzed by calculating vector values based on the frequency of the selected topics and measuring the cosine similarity between students, teachers, and teachers and students by school level. The results are as follows: First, the cosine similarity of SSI Preferred Topics between students' school-level cohorts was higher between middle and high school students (0.982) than between elementary and middle school students (0.651) or between elementary and high school students (0.662). Second, the cosine similarity of SSI Preferred Topics between teachers' school-level cohorts was similar for all comparison groups between elementary, middle, and high school. Third, the SSI topic preference similarity between students and teachers by school level had a higher cosine similarity between the elementary student and teacher cohorts (0.974) than the other school level comparisons, middle school (0.621) or high school (0.645). Access to topics of interest to students in SSI education is strongly associated with motivation and persistence in learning, as well as an enjoyable learning experience and positive attitudes toward learning. Therefore, when designing SSI lessons, it is important to examine topics from the perspective of student interest, especially if the teacher has selected SSI topics that are different from students' preferences. Careful instructional design will be needed to overcome the gap.

The purpose of this study is to obtain basic information and suggestions needed to measure reading attitude by obtaining the tacit knowledge. For this, a semi-structured interviews were carried out with teacher librarians and elementary school teachers and elementary students in five elementary schools. The results were as follows: Students and Teachers divided standard and attribute for assessing reading attitudes as student's ability, personality and behavioral aspects towards reading. Students were aware of the necessity of reading and accepted a pleasant feeling of reading. However, group of students with low reading skill recognized reading as an academic purpose as compared to other student groups and expressed a negative feeling on reading. Peers, teachers and family members were recognized as figures who make an impact on reading by students and further considered the subject, content and physical attribute of book as important factors. Teachers recognized reading attitude as a concept on attitude about book and book reading. Further they mentioned reading environment, interests, habits, books, and experience as factors affect reading attitude.

Internet addiction is a social problem occurring by overuse of internet. And internet addiction is associated with pathologic personality but clinic study about Internet addiction disorder is lack. This study was designed to evaluate the relationship between internet addiction and pattern of internet utilization. We conducted a questionnaire survey on 1,984 middle school students in Gwang -Ju. We questioned about internet addiction, general characteristics, pattern of internet utilization. 11.8% of total number were internet addiction. Sex, religion, duration, time, place, obscene sites, most frequent using service is associated with internet addiction. Family number, occupation of parents, using internet in home, use of parents isn't associated with internet addiction. We show interest in general characteristics and pattern of internet utilization about internet addiction. So we council youths about internet problem in accordance with this study results. Then internet addiction and other psychologic problem are decreased.

This study is to identify marketing methods that are different from the existing ones on the Metaverse platform, where new business models and industrial ecosystems are being formed. The purpose of this study is to identify how brand marketing methods are differentiated according to the type of metaverse and the characteristics of the main users who use metaverse. The research method was a case analysis method, and Roblox, which currently has the largest number of active users, was selected. We closely analyzed how Nike and Gucci brands market by reflecting the characteristics and consumption patterns of Alpha Generation and Generation Z, the main users of Roblox. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, it is approaching with enjoyable content, including games, rather than direct marketing. Second, the content provided contains the brand's story and philosophy. Third, it takes a method of linking virtual and reality. Lastly, through Metaverse, Brands are identifying the tastes of future potential customers and collecting data for customized services.
Childhood obesity has rapidly increased in Korea during the past 20-30 years. Approximately 1 of 10 children and adolescents is obese. Appropriate prevention and intervention measures urgently need. Obesity prevention starts early in life, i.e., obesity prevention and education begins during the period of fetal development in utero. Behavioral changes are the most positively reflected during pregnancy. Infants should be fed breast milk, and inculcated with healthy eating and behavioral habits during infancy to ultimately establish a healthy lifestyle in children. For achieving a lifestyle and behavior that successfully allow children to overcome obesity, although individual motivation is important, active support of parents and family members is also imperative. Health care providers should also make an effort to actively prevent obesity and take necessary intervention actions. Although the efforts of individuals, family, and healthy care providers are important to prevent the rapid increase in obesity, primary prevention should be encouraged at a higher level. Schools should specifically aim at improving nutrition and physical activity by allocating times for healthy eating, playing, and physical education. Moreover, local communities should provide support by funding for safe recreational environments, such as playgrounds and walking tracks. Public health strategies in community and national policies, such as city planning, food marketing, and advertisements, are required for primary prevention of obesity.
As the teacher-centered education is transformed into learning-centered education, the active knowledge construction of learner becomes important. Along with this change, project-based learning is receiving attention. However, there are many problems to apply the results of research to pre-service teachers because most of the previous studies have focused on elementary middle high school students. Therefore, this study examined the changes in perceptions of pre-service mathematics teachers while project-based learning progressed for one year. Pre-service mathematics teachers had less experience with project-based learning than group discussions, group activities. Also their perceptions was classified as five factors: 'Instructional effects', 'Application and participant of project-based learning', 'Achievement', 'Diffusion of project-based learning', 'Student motivation'. Pre-service mathematics teachers responded positive changes in perception that project-based learning could be motivated to students but they responded negative changes in perception that project-based learning could be distributed to school. They responded positive changes in perception that teachers can show their achievements by project-based learning but they responded negative change in perception that teachers would be fun to apply project-based learning. Also, they responded positive changes in perception that teachers and students were easy to apply or utilize project-based learning.
