  • Recent trend of pursuing smart life began to affect the usage of vehicle in real life. The next generation of the smart vehicle services start to utilize telecommunication technology and sensing techniques for the advanced safety and efficient use of road for drivers, while there's still decency in satisfaction about vehicular safety upgrade. For this purpose, a new technology is devised as Wireless Access in Vehicular Environment(WAVE). Foreign industries now are developing technologies of key components, platform and services related to WAVE. Domestic industry just starts to develop the related technologies about WAVE, although the frequency for WAVE is not allocated. This paper introduces the status of technical standards for WAVE and the status of developing components of WAVE. And this paper also proposes the guidance of frequency allocating policy for WAVE through frequency interference experiments.

  • This work focuses on reducing claims by improving the existing receipt process, and proposed an executable Claims solving method used QR code. We propose a effected claim process methods after introduced claim process based on bar code, RFID. Also, we illustrated proposed claim solving method to M company and verified the useful and effectiveness by a survey.

  • An orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) system is effective to bandwidth because of orthogonality of subcarriers and robust to multipath fading. However, if there is a frequency offset, we lose the orthogonality of subcarriers and that results in inter-carrier interference(ICI) which increases errors in the system. In this paper, we propose an algorithm that estimates the fine frequency offset using a correlation method in OFDM systems. This scheme compares two correlation values in different frequency offsets with opposite directions. From the difference between two correlation values we can derive a fine frequency offset estimation algorithm. Its performance is verified by computer simulations.

  • In this paper, we introduce a concept of HEMP systems and analyze a shielding effectiveness by varying placements of the antenna elements. Maxwell's equations for the high frequency of the EMP is represented in the LOS. In order to investigate the effects of electromagnetic attenuations, a shielding room was constructed and employed to obtain measured data. Shielding effects were measured by changing frequency and the distance of receiving antenna. Each measured value was compared to U.S. standard and measuring method was simplified. shielding effects were measured by three different conditions of shielding room. Find the difference between forward measurement and reverse measurement and factors which affects the measurement in shielding room.

Application of Expanding-cell FDTD Method to Microstrip-to-Waveguide Transition (Expanding-cell 유한차분법의 마이크로스트립-도파관 변환기에의 적용)

  • In this paper, we design and analyze a Ka-band microstrip line to rectangular waveguide transition using the expanding-cell FDTD method. The transition under investigation consists of a ridged waveguide, microstrip line, and $\lambda$/4 Chebyshev impedance transformer. To improve the accuracyand efficiency, the expanding-cell FDTD method is applied to analyze the characteristics of a ridged waveguide impedance transformer. To verify the accuracy of the expanding-cell FDTD method, S parameters of the analyzed transition are compared with those of experimental data. The efficiency of the present approach is verified by comparing the computational time for expanding-cell and that for fine cell. The relation between the number of step and operation bandwidth is analyzed by comparing the characteristics of four and three step Chebyshev waveguide impedance transformer.

  • GPS is an efficient system in surveying and car navigation. but it is difficult to catch minimum number of satellite when it is hindered by obstacle such as city area. GLONASS system doesn't have perfect constellation yet, but it has many similarities with GPS system in principle of point positioning and signal system. so, it is expected to be much efficient when it is used with GPS system. For the purpose of this, the coordinates of GPS and GLONASS system, the quality of time and frequency was investigated, and the algorithm of point positioning was made. also, the efficiency of GPS/GLONASS combination was presented by analysing the precision of 3D point positioning using C/A code and Yuma satellite orbit information.

  • In this paper, the relation between the radiated sound and the vibration due to piezoelectric ESWL(Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripter) is examined and the results of the experiments are represented. Next, the relation between the focal point and the vibration of the objects is examined. The same experiments with the objects that can be broken are done and the relation between the vibration and the break efficiency of the phantom is experimentally investigated. These results show that the relativity between the power of the peak frequency and the break efficiency can be confirmed.

  • 본 연구에서는 내용기반 영상 데이터 검색을 위하여 변환 영역에서 위치 정보와 주파수 정보를 가지는 웨이블릿 성질을 이용하여 영상을 압축한 후에 저주파 성분에 의한 객체들의 특징을 추출하는 방안으로 Vector Quantization 을 이용한 class 별 영상 검색을 제시한다 내용기반 영상 검색의 주요특징들은 색상, 질감, 그리고 영상의 공간적인 특징을 고려한 특징 값 둥이 사용된다. 먼저 검색의 효율성을 높이기 위해 영상을 구성하는 특징 치 중에서 가장 빈도가 많은 class 부터 영상의 유사도를 검색한 후에 다음으로 영상을 구성하는 빈도가 큰 순서대로 DB 내에 저장되어 있는 영상과 비교를 하게 된다. DB내 영상 검색은 빈도수가 우선인 5개의 class를 기준으로 유사도를 측정해서 검색을 이룬다. 이러한 영상의 특징들을 어떻게 결합하고 특징 추출을 하느냐에 따라 검색의 효율성에 영향을 준다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 영상의 위치 정보와 주파수 정보를 가지는 웨이블릿 변환 후 얻어지는 저대역 부밴드에서의 공간적인 특성을 고려한 특징 값을 이용하여 Vector Quantization 알고리즘에 의해 정지영상의 객체 대표 특징들을 마르게 검색하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 Haar Wavelet과 Vector Quantization 에서 색상과 질감의 가중치를 적용한 후 DB 에 저장된 영상과 유사도를 검색하는 방법을 취하고자 한다.

A New Sampling Frequency Offset Estimation Algorithm Using a Single OFDM Symbol (단일 OFDM 심볼을 이용한 샘플링 주파수 옵셋 추정 기법)

  • In OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) system, sampling frequency offset causes performance degradation due to increase of ICI. Sampling frequency offset can be generally estimated by correlation of the pilot signal or the known pattern within two contiguous OFDM symbol however, this method has the throughput degradation and the difficulty in applying to various OFDM systems. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm for sampling frequency offset estimation which can solve aforementioned issues. The proposed algorithm uses a single OFDM symbol to prevent throughput degradation and to apply to various OFDM-based communication systems flexibly Also, the proposed algorithm can enhance reliability by observing more number of correlations compared to the established algorithm in frequency domain. Extensive computer simulation shows that the proposed algorithm can improve the system performance in various channel conditions.
