  • This paper is to study vibration effects of the dynamic vibration absorber. Multi-body dynamic analysis is carried out for the vehicle driveline model using ADAMS with flexible propeller shaft attached with the vibration damper. Primary bending mode frequency of the propeller shaft is obtained from the simulation and coincides with the experimental result. Various design parameters are studied in dynamic simulation operated by the engine torque input. This paper identifies the responses of dynamic vibration absorbers in the driveline with propeller shaft, which will be used to find out optimal design parameters.

  • This Paper contains the development procedure of Mach small-scaled composite rotor blade for helicopter articulated rotor system. This mach small-scaled composite blade design is conducted by using CORDAS program developed by KARI. The Dynamic analysis for an articulated rotor system with this blade is conducted by using FLIGHTLAB which is commercial software for helicopter analysis. Also the optimizing procedure of iterative design was described. The designed composite blades were manufactured after establishing the effective curing method. For small-scaled rotor test, strain gauges were embedded in composite blade spar to obtain bending & torsion strain value. To verify sectional properties of a blade, the bench test is accomplished. After comparing a designed data and tested data, Dynamic Calculation was repeated using tested data. Through this research, experiences of mach small-scaled composite blade development were accumulated and will be applied to the related research field.

  • This paper describes a robust stabilization of single input nonlinear systems with parametric uncertainty. We first investigate differential flatness of the nominal nonlinear systems. If a single input system is differentially flat, it possesses a flat output. And we define coordinate transformation functions via successively differentiating the flat output, and we also consider the robust fictitious controls at every differentiation of the flat output. In the new coordinates the nonlinear system is transformed into the Brunovsky normal form with matched uncertainty. With a robust control based on the Lyapunov method, the robust stabilization is achieved.

  • A control synthesis scheme is presented for nonlinear single-input-single-output (SISO) systems with parametric uncertainty which have completely unstable zero dynamics. The approach involves the derivation of an input-output linearizing control law which achieves internal stability for a nonlinear minimum phase approximation to the original system using Fliess normal form. A vector of unknown constant parameters is also considered. A Lyapunov-based additional control law is shown to stabilize the full system.

  • A new and simple method has been developed to synthesize highly crystalline and monodisperse maghemite (γ-Fe₂O₃) and zirconia (ZrO₂) nanocristallites. High temperature aging of metal-surfactant complex was founded to generate monodisperse nanoparticles, wherein the nuclei were prepared by the thermal decomposition of iron-oleate complex in case of iron oxide and nonhydrolytic sol-gel reaction in case of zirconia respectively. By varying the experimental conditions, in other words concentration of surfactants, kind of metal precursor, reaction temperature and so on, the diameter of spherical nanoparticles could be controlled at various size. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized by electron diffraction, X-ray diffraction, and low- and high-resolution transmission electron microscope.

  • Fiber placement system (FPS) carries out an advanced composites process which orients high strength reinforcing fibers in specific directions. The process includes wet winding, thermoset tape winding, thermoset prepreg placement and thermoplastic prepreg placement. FPS have the advantage of tape laying and filament winding with computer control and software. Using FPS can reduce costs, cycle times, structural weight, and handwork/rework when manufacturing composite parts. The sleeve extension is a part of the helicopter rotator systems. In this study, The sleeve extension composites were manufactured using FPS and tensile properties of this composites were characterized using universal testing machine(UTM).

  • In this paper, a Hadamard transform imaging spectrometer(HTIS) is proposed by using a grill spectrometer. And we reconfigure the system by using the grill sectrometer which uses a left cyclic S-matrix instead of the conventional right cyclic one. Then, we model the Hadamard transform imaging spectrometer and apply the mask characteristics compensation method, i.e. $ {T}^{-1}$ method, to complete fast algorithm. Also, through computer simulations the superiority of the proposed system in this paper to the conventional Hadamard transform spectrometer(HTS) is proved and the performance of the two systems are compared by introducing average mean square error(AMSE) as the algebraic criterion.

  • In this paper, the direct adaptive control using neural networks is presented for the control of chaotic nonlinear systems. The direct adaptive control method has an advantage that the additional system identification procedure is not necessary. Two direct adaptive control methods are applied to a Duffing's equation and the simulation results show the effectiveness of the controllers.

  • In this study, a new OSA controller is proposed for controlling discrete-time chaotic systems efficiently. A new OSA controller uses NARMAX models, and its feedback gain is designed on the basis of conventional linear control theory. In order to evaluate the performance of a new OSA controller, a new OSA controller is applied to Henon system which is a discrete-time chaotic system, and then the control performance of a new OSA controller are compared with that of the previous model-base controller through computer simulations.

  • To compare the different water environments in the Jigsaw stream (st. 1, 2) and Jujin stream (st. 3, 4) crossing over the Byeonsan-Bando and Seonunsan parklands, the physico-chemical factors and the species compositions of epilithic diatoms were analyzed from March 2009 to February 2010. The mean values of conductivity (681.1 ${\mu}S\;cm^{-1}$), suspended solids (27.83 mg $L^{-1}$), biological oxygen demand (3.15 mg $L^{-1}$), total nitrogen (3.24 mg $L^{-1}$), total phosphorus (0.24 mg $L^{-1}$) and chlorophyll-${\alpha}$ (12.99 mg $m^{-3}$ ) in Jujin stream were significantly higher than each element in Jigsaw stream. Eighty taxa were classified into 73 species and seven varieties belonging to 24 genera, eight families, three suborders and two orders in Jigsaw stream. Eighty eight taxa were classified into 81 species and seven varieties belonging to 22 genera, seven families, three suborders and two orders in Jujin stream. Biological water quality assessments revealed that Jigsaw stream was ${\beta}$~${\alpha}$-oligosaprobic and Jujin stream was ${\beta}$-mesosaprobic. Dominant and diversity indices were indicated from 0.25~0.81 and from 1.73~4.14 in Jigsaw stream, respectively, and from 0.29~0.64 and from 2.72~4.02 in Jujin stream, respectively. Jujin stream was more eutrophic than those of Jigsaw stream. The different water environments between the two streams could be due to the different ecosystems of the neighboring basins of each stream crossing over in the mountain. Further studies should investigate the water environments of two streams by continuous and regular monitoring to analyze the different ecosystem mechanisms.
