A Study on the Participation of LINC(Leaders in INdustry-university Cooperation) at Korean Firm's Employees Applying the Theory of Planned Behavior (기업 구성원의 계획행동이론을 적용한 산학협력선도대학사업(LINC) 참여에 관한 연구)

  • Many Korean colleges funded by the Korean government have actively implemented LINC (Leaders INdustry-university Cooperation) programs to facilitate practical training since 2012. The LINC programs have two major different categories, a technologically and innovative focused program and a field-centered program. A number of studies have applied the TPB (Theory of Planned Behavior) model proposed by Fishbein and Azjen successfully to predict the behavioral intention in many areas, such as marketing, environmental purchasing, and technology, etc. On the other hand, few studies have applied the TPB within industry-university cooperation settings. The purpose of this study was to empirically test the applicability of the TPB model in predicting the employees' participation in LINC programs. To investigate the study's purpose, a closed-ended questionnaire, composed of a total of 32 questions based on previous studies, was developed, and the data from 115 out of 132 employees in the participating companies of LINC were utilized. Specific analysis of the study showed that the attitudes, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control were significant predictors of the LINC intention. In addition, the LINC intention was a significant predictor of the participation in LINC.

NEURODEVELOPMENTAL PERSPECTIVE OF ATTENTION-DEFICIT/HYPERACTIVITY DISORDER(ADHD) (주의력결핍-과잉행동장애의 신경발달학적 고찰)

  • Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder(ADHD) is the most common neurodevelopmental disorder in child psychiatry. The etiology or ADHD is not completely understood, but involved in genetical and/or neurocognitive deficits. This article reviews the current state of the literature pertaining to the neurodevelopmental aspects of ADHD. Although the neurodevelopment of ADHD remains unclear, emerging evidence documents its genetic and neurobiologic underpinnings. A pathophysiology of ADHD has not been fully characterized, although genetic, neurobiologic, neuroimaging, and neuropsychological studies of ADHD consistently implicates dysfunction in the fronto-subcortical network and abnormality in the dopaminergic and noradnergic systems. Furthermore some suggests that the timing of aberrant brain development in ADHD could be in early gestation and genetic and/or early environmental influences on brain development in ADHD are fixed, nonprogressive. Although many studies provide evidences for the important or psychosocial or environmental adversities in ADHD, they may be not specific predictors of ADHD but nonspecific triggers of an underlying predisposition or modifiers of the course of disorder.

Analysis on the Practices of Mathematical Assessment (수학 지필 평가의 실제 분석)

  • The aim of the study is to explore some problems that we have to solve to execute assessments effectively and in agreement with the objectives of them. We analysed the practices of some assessments Including our national assessment of educational achievement and the third international mathematics and science study with focussing on the frames of assessments, the analyses of results, and the items presented in the assessments. The results of the study are the following. Firstly, we need to make the frame of assessment to agree with the objectives of assessment and to reflect the characteristics of the item related to a few areas. Secondly, we need to analyse the results of assessment with reflecting the frames of assessment. Thirdly, we need to discuss more concretely on the level and presentation of items including the order of conditions to need to solve the items. And lastly, we need to minimize the difference caused by the variations of translation in the international assessments.

A Study on Privacy Paradox from the Behavioral Economics Perspective (행동경제학 관점에서 프라이버시 역설에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, several studies in the field of privacy research suggested counterintuitive phenomenon about previous studies on existing perspectives. They claim that consistency of attitude and behavior does not exist, which is called privacy paradox. This study aims to clarify the relationship between intention to information disclosure and actual behavior based on the privacy paradox perspective. It attempts to explain the causes of privacy paradox phenomenon through the dual process theory being discussed in the field of behavioral economics. The results of empirical analysis are as follows. First, paired t-test analysis between intention to information disclosure and actual behavior was statistically significant. This means the existence of privacy paradox. Second, privacy risk had significant explanatory power to behavioral intention, and privacy trust had significant explanatory power to actual behavior. In conclusion, this study shows that negative belief influences decision making situation controlled by rational thinking whereas positive belief influences actual situations controlled by intuitive thinking.

  • The purpose of this study were 1) to examine underlying dimensions of two aspects of attitudes - cognitive beliefs and consumption feelings of well-known name brand apparel and 2) to examine predictiveness of those two variables in predicting buying intentions of well-known name brand apparel. The data were collected through questionnaire from convenient samples of 207 female college students. Statistical analysis of factor analysis, t-test and multiple regression analysis were performed in analysing the data. The major findings were as fellows: 1. The dimensions of evaluation criteria of well-known name brand apparel were design/brand name, clothing construction, and practicality. 2. The dimensions of consumption feelings were pleasure/confidence, active and regret. 3. In predicting buying intension of name brand apparel, consumption feelings fecund to be as more robust predictors than cognitive variables.

'A Posthuman Psychology' and the Fate of Autonomous Subjects ('탈인간의 심리학'과 자율적 주체의 운명)

  • The posthumanism, as it is discussed in several areas of the humanities, calls the modern humanist concept of autonomous subject into question. The scientific psychology has been since its birth as independent discipline at the 19th century a 'posthuman psychology' in the sense that there has been always humanistic approaches to humans as autonomous beings on the one hand, and natural-scientific approaches to humans as determined beings on the other hand. I have argued that the concept of autonomous subject makes still sense as a regulating principle of everyday life of purposive agents and as a conceptual framework for interpreting causal knowledges about humans. And I have argued that culture and cultural education should play an important role in reflecting on the meaning and rationality of sciences and technologies.

Stranger in a Foreign Land. How to Impress and how to be Impressed. A Comprehensive Review on the Differences of Impression Management Behavior between Two Culture: Jamaica and South Korea (경영학적 관점의 국가 간 인상관리 : 자메이카 VS 한국 -)

  • This study examines the differences in the use of self promoting, ingratiating and defensive impression management behavior between Jamaica and South Korea. Previous researches on impression management behavior and culture suggests that differences in culture will determine the type of impression management behavior one uses. This study, therefore aimed to determine which of the two will be more motivated to engage in impression management behavior and does the use of impression management behavior differs based on the differences in culture. Analysis of 102 individuals from Jamaica and South Korea, through the use of questionnaire survey, shows both similarities and differences in the use of impression management behavior. Although there were a few limitations to this research, our findings do highlight some cross-cultural significant differences in the use of impression management behavior between both countries. Results showed that South Korean will be more likely than Jamaican to be motivated to engage in impression management. In addition, South Korean respondents reported higher use of self promoting and ingratiating impression management behavior while Jamaican respondents reported a higher use of defensive impression management behavior.

  • Anton Chekhov was able to deliver a significant influence to the 20th realist drama types and styles, because his deep thoughts about diverse aspects of human life were realistically expressed on stages. Western realistic actors endeavored to embody their routines based on their words, behaviors, and habits. Chekhov used his outstanding talent to identify the characteristics of people, created unforgettable drama characters, and focused on their behavioral motives. From his philosophical point of view, Chekhov argued that secrets are hidden in life itself, and that everything, shown on the stage, should be as it is in our actual daily life. The realistic acting, recognizing the difference between the daily truth and the truth mentioned in works, pursued acting styles by which audiences regarded play characters as the real people.

  • This study reviewed the stuttering literature and reported the clinical experiment in stuttering intervention. There is still no single answer as to the cause of stuttering or to the most effective therapy for stutterers despite the vast amount of research. One certain thing is that we have come closer to a better understanding of the stuttering and to more effective therapy. There have been three main statements about the origins of stuttering ; biologic origins ; psychodynamic origins ; environmental-learning origins. There also have been various methods of the treatment of stuttering. Broadly, two major treatment approaches are attentive ; stuttering modification therapy and fluency shaping therapy. In this experiment, the researcher attempted to investigate complex elements that each child might have and to use an integrative approach rather than to keep the specific one. Individual subjects were evaluated by a multidisciplinary team. Initially, the subjects received individual therapy. They then were placed in group therapy. The purpose of the group therapy was to raise their fluencies to the higher communicative situation and to maintain improved fluency over time. All three subjects improved their fluencies in reading and in conversation and showed the better(SSI)scores in total stuttering behaviors. It was also discussed that it is necessary to have sensitive assessment tools to investigate each element of stuttering ; and to develop a therapy program reflecting current advanced stuttering theories.

A Study of Premodern Korean Proses with Lice as a Subject Matter: Their Story Developments (이[슬(蝨)]를 소재로 한 고전산문의 전개양상 고찰)

  • The present paper considers lice described in some premodern Korean proses, focused on the implications of lice and the literary strategies adopted by the writers in dealing with this unique subject matter. The works reviewed in this process are "A Story of the Louse and the Dog" by Lee Gyu-bo (Goryeo Dynasty), "The Old Man's Vindication of Lice" by Gwak Yeol (Early Joseon), "A Small Realization" by Yu Sin-hwan (Late Joseon) and "Miscellany" by Heo Jeon (Late Joseon). In these premodern essays, an allegory of lice was used to disclose various kinds of prejudices that people generally had: against things small (in "A Story of the Louse and the Dog"), against the old (in "The Old Man's Vindication of Lice"), against the dichotomous idea of right and wrong (in "A Small Realization") and against various aspects of life (in "Miscellany").
