  • The current situation and problems of sensory console games was analyzed focusing on the Nintendo 'Wii.' In order to develop the limitation of contents that lean strongly towards sports and fail to offer diversity one step further into glocal cultural contents, a solution of applying 'Bollywood,' which has a main musical format, is presented. Bollywood is a unique cultural code of India which can stimulate the purchase desires of consumers with its exotic freshness in third countries, and can be used to lead sales of a new form of game culture that is familiar yet in a new format in the 1.1 billion people Indian market. The political, social and economic codes of Bollywood are examined in this study in addition to cultural contents and codes that include Bollywood to develop contents that are not foreign to their culture.

The Effect of Knowledge about Foods on the Foods Purchasing (식품에 대한 지식이 식품선택에 미치는 영향에 관한 조사연구)

  • Family meals are very important for physical and mental health of family mebers. The purpose of this study is to contribute to change the habitual and unconscious cooking methods of housewives into more scientific moth(Ids. In order to achieve this purpose, this study tried to find out the degree to which housewives applied their knowledge of nutition and foods to actual behavior in purchasing. A special form of questionaire was prepared and distributed to 502 housewives in Seoul from Feb.8th to 22nd in 1989. The results were as follows: 1. Mean (score) of their nutritional knowledge was 14 7; if seems to be comparatively higher. 2. When they purchased food materials, their husbands' favor was the first consideration. Particularly, freshness was the first considered in purchasing meat, fishes, fruits, and vegetables. And Nutrition was so in case of seaweeds, oil, and fat. 3. For the most part, they cook three or four Subsidiary dishes for a meal. If they cooked one or two they chose to cook vegetables. If three or four they added meat and fishes. If more than four, they used various food materials.

  • An antiroll-bar assembly is a precision component that is designed to control the rolling of railway cars. It is important for ensuring a safe and comfortable ride. A torsion bar is the main part of the antiroll-bar assembly. Now, this part is classified as a consumable, and it is imported into Korea from France. Therefore, there is a strong need to domestically develop a torsion bar suitable for Korean conditions and to reduce cost and improve quality. In this study, an antiroll bar is developed, and it is analyzed and tested by using a road histogram measured on Korean railroads. This bar shows satisfactory results in a comparison with the imported bar. It has a novel design featuring a ring cover made of SUS steels to prevent the corrosion of the torsion bar. Its safety is examined through CAE analysis and wear tests. It is found that its design does not result in a significant difference in static and fatigue safety. Two different SUS steels were investigated in terms of their wear resistance, and the best one was adopted.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the household analysis and diagnosis program for the enhancement of family welfare focusing on the household of middle-aged full-time housewives. From the review of related literatures, the following areas of total family life were selected ; household management, time use, housing, household materials, finance, communication and decision making. Considering that the program subjects were middle-aged full-time housewives, the preparation for elderly life and the identity as housewife, one of the healthy family members, are appended. The progresses for the development of household analysis and diagnosis program were as follows: 1. to select the useful area of family life, 2. to make the indicators which explain the status of family life, and 3. to decide the scales for the diagnosis. This program has various uses such as the development of self-evaluation program, program for various family life course. Through this program the strength and weakness of family life can be found and the planning for the enforcement of family life can be practiced.

  • With rapid changes in modern societies, abrupt increases in knowledges and fast conversions in technologies have caused serious generation gaps among members of the family. This have generated problems for housewives who is generally in charge of maintaining and coordinating a family with limited life experiences and knowledges earned only through several years of school education, to resolve every problems evoked in their families. This has made us to realize the needs for the education related to the family life. Especially for middle-aged housewives, this type of education is absolutely required to maintain ideal family relationships, and this can be accomplished by improving their abilities and potentials. The 8-step program to improve the relationship between middle-aged housewives and their children was developed. Overall, this program improved the self-respect and psychological well-being of middle-aged housewives. Also, the relationship with their children was greatly improved through better understanding and communication. This was solely reflected on the quantitative evaluations through pre-and post-tests, so that all the participants scored higher in the post-test.

Vibration Serviceability Assessment of High-performence Steel Bridge (고성능강 적용 교량의 진동사용성 평가)

  • 본 논문에서는 교량의 주부재에 교량용 고성능강을 적용하여 설계해 본 후, 이러한 적용이 교량의 진동사용성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 그 영향을 분석해 보고자 한다. 최근들어 교량상의 구조적인 결함이 없더라도 진동에 의해 교량을 통행하는 운전자나 보행자에게 불안감을 주는 경우가 빈번히 발생하기 때문에 진동사용성이란 문제는 보다 부각되고 있다. 특히 고성능강이 개발되고 이를 교량에 적용하게 되면 허용응력의 증가로 이어져 거더의 형고감소를 가능하게 한다. 그러나 이러한 형고의 감소는 교량의 휨강성을 저하시켜 사용성의 악화를 초래할 것이란 예측이 있었다. 따라서 본 연구는 차량-교량의 상호작용에 의해 발생하는 진동영향의 분석을 위해 유한요소해석 프로그램인 Abaqus 6.10을 이용해 수치해석을 수행하였고 이때의 진동영향을 평가했다. 차량-교량 상호작용의 해석을 위해 ASSHTO 기준의 HS 20-44 차량을 해석 대상교량 위로 주행하도록 하였다. 해석대상교량은 인장강도가 각각 600MPa와 800MPa인 교량용 고성능강재(HSB, High-Performance Steel for Bridge)를 적용하여 주거더를 설계한 강플레이트 거더교를 대상으로 삼았다. 차량이 교량을 통과하면서 발생하는 교량의 경간 중앙부에서 발생하는 수직진동의 시간이력을 분석하여 진동평가의 기준으로 삼았다. 해석결과 HSB600과 HSB800으로 각각 설계된 교량은 가속도이력에서는 큰 차이가 없었으나 변위이력에서는 HSB800적용 교량이 진동사용성 측면에서 매우 불리한 거동을 보였다. 따라서 고성능강 적용에 따른 교량의 진동사용성을 평가하기 위해서는 변위를 기준으로한 평가가 이루어져야하며, 변위의 진동을 제어하기 위한 방안이 모색되어야 할 것으로 판단된다.

A Study on the Recognition and Prospect for Korean Traditional Pyebaeck Foods in Daegu Area(II) (한국 전통 폐백음식에 대한 인식과 전망 (II)-대구지역을 중심으로-)

  • This study was performed by questionnaire to investigate the recognition and prospect for Korean traditional Pyebaeck Foods. The subjects of this study consisted of 621 housewives in Daegu area. The results were summarized as follows: The most people(94.2%) had ever seen Pyebaeck refreshments before, and most had seen them in wedding halls(62.5%). The reason they do prepare Paebaek refreshments was “it's tradition”(44.9%), and they considered this tradition as a public moral. The peoples who had prepared Pyebaeck refreshments at home consisted 51.0% and those who had purchased at caterer was 59.5%. The reason for preparing the refreshments at home was usually “it's true-hearted”(48.8%) and the reason for hiring specialists was “it's more convenient”(38.7%). Opinions about cooking method were mostly “complicated”(79.8%), and the knowledge score for cooking methods was low in 2.80. 31.3% of respondents reported inheriting their recipes from their mother. 43.3% of the respondents thought it would be “transmitted only a part” on prospects for Pyebaeck refreshments. 31.5% of the respondents said the improvement plan should be “focused on development of various Pyebaeck refreshments with modern senses” and 30.4% that the industralization should be effected through “publicity activities and education about its excellence”. People had to experience the Pyebaeck in the right way and to understand its real meaning better in order not to consider it as an evil custom, empty formality and vanity.

Consumers의 Awareness and Utilization of Food Labels (식품표시에 대한 소비자의 인식 및 이용 실태)

  • The objective of this study was to contribute to the enhancement of food labeling and the development of food labels which are more informative to consumers. The questionnaires had been collected from adult female consumers living in Seoul, Kyonggi, Choongnam and Chungbuk province. Out of 950 answers collected 792 were analyzed. Ninety two percent of respondents were aware of food labels, however only 67.6% of them knew about the fact that food labeling was regulated by the law. Respondents recognized the major purpose of food labeling as informing and protecting the consumer. Most of the respondents answered that they confirmed the contents of food labels at the time of purchase especially with regard to safety aspects, such as expiration on data and manufacture date. Eighty four percent of the respon dents showed confidence in the contents of food labels.The rests answered they were hot confident because they experienced directly, or indirectly discord of food contents in fact and in label.

An Analysis of Food Waste Generation of Residents and Food Waste Resources in Multifamily Housing (음식물쓰레기 자원화를 위한 공동주택 거주자의 음식물쓰레기 배출량 및 자원화 의향에 관한 분석)

  • With rising food waste, the management activities have gained growing attention, and the disposal options, particularly utilization of food waste for energy recovery, become central. This research examines the factors affecting food waste generation and the tendency to resource food waste. The self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted in newly built multifamily housing estates to collect data, and 300 responses were analyzed. The statistical analysis showed that most of the respondents purchased food materials in largely franchised grocery stores and discarded food that had been too long refrigerated to edible. The lifecycle of food consumption was divided into three states - food purchase plan, cooking and food waste collection. Regression analysis was employed to find out the relationships between three stages and food waste generation or tendency to resource food waste. The results described that food waste generation being affected by the stage of food purchase plan (food waste removal conditions) was statistically significant while it's statistically significant that the stage of cooking (prepurchase considerations) influenced the attitude toward food waste resource. The research findings indicated that food is overconsumed, and further many viewed food waste resources as a proactive and integrative mode in the global wave of sustainability.
