The Influence of Seafarers' Social Identity on Turnover Intention (선원의 사회적 정체성이 이직의사에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aims to empirically identify how the antecedents of seafarers' social identity(i.e., socialization, social support, perceived organizational support, status in organization) affect turnover intention via social identity. In order to achieve this objective, this study conducted covariance structure analysis on the questionnaire data collected from 362 seafarers. The main results are as follows: First of all, as social identity of seafarers increases, their turnover intention decreases. Secondly, as socialization, social support, and perceived organizational support increases, seafarers' social identity also increases. Finally, while socialization and social support decrease turnover intention only through social identity, perceived organizational support decreases turnover intention both directly and indirectly via social identity.

Existing Knowledge in the Organization and the New Product Performance (조직 내 기존지식과 신제품 성과에 관한 연구)

  • The focus of this study is to analyze the link between existing knowledge in the organization and NPD performance. After a comprehensive literature review, we identified factors influential in the management of existing knowledge, such as efficiency of information acquisition, shared interpretation, structure of organization. Through an empirical research, we found that existing knowledge was positively associated with the efficiency of information acquisition and shared interpretation. Additionally, a strong relationship was found between information acquisition efficiency and NPD. Shared information, however, was not found to be associated with NPD. This result, make us recognize the necessity to better understand some subprocesses through which existing knowledge affects new product performance.

  • This study examines tile concept of knowledge management and research trends. This study, then, analyzes the factors influencing for knowledge sharing. Finally, it identifies facilitating factors for knowledge sharing in terms of knowledge characteristics, organizational culture, knowledge management support organization arrangement, reward system, and information technology. The suggestions of the study can be used to establish knowledge sharing in organizations.

  • This study explores the evolution of technical innovation over time. It focuses on sectors of the information technology because this industry can be referred to as one of the most dynamic industries of all times. Following evolutionary theorists, we argue that technological change is gradual and that superior firms and technologies are reward by the' selection' environment. In the initial phase of the industry life cycle, technological change is expected to be radical and uncertainty is high. Over time a product or technology is likely to arise which stands out above all other products or technologies. These so-called 'basic designs' serve as sorts of 'technological guideposts' for further developments in the technology. Once a basic design established, technological progress tends to follow consistent paths or trajectories. The cumulative character of technological progress facilitates a rapid expansion of the boundaries of the technology until the natural limits of the technology are approached and technological progress slows down. Following ecological theories, supply-side developments in the industry are described on the basis of five different organizational types. On the basis of this pattern of market and technological evolution we came up with seven basic propositions.

Comparative Floral and Secretory Structure in Korean Corydalis (한국산 현호색속 화부구조 및 분비조직 형질의 비교 연구)

  • 현호색속은 양귀비과에 속하는 분류군으로서 전 세계에 약 450분류군이 분포하며 한국에는 25분류군이 분포한다. 20분류군의 한국산 현호색속 식물을 대상으로 화부 형태, 밀선의 형태, 밀선의 부착 위치를 비교 분석하였다. 현호색속 식물의 꽃은 좌우대칭하며 외화판의 거(spur)에 위치한 밀선을 갖는데 밀선의 위치, 형태 등은 현호색속의 분류체계를 반영하는 중요한 형질로 판단된다. 관찰결과 현호색절과 가는괴불주머니절의 밀선은 거(spur)의 1/3~2/3 정도 까지 신장되며 신장부는 매우 가늘지만 선단부에서는 다소 부푼 후 뾰족해지고 아래쪽으로 굽으며 분비조직이 위치하고 있는 부분은 녹색, 신장부는 횐색을 띠었다. 들현호색절에서는 거(spur)의 중간 정도에 위치한다. 기부는 두껍고 화색과 같은색을 띠지만 끝부분은 가늘고 굽지 않으며 흰색을 띤다. 자주괴불주머니절의 밀선은 거의 신장되지 않고 주걱형이며 노란색을 띠었다. 산괴불주머니절에서는 거(spur)의 3/4까지 신장되며 선단부는 뾰족하고 녹색을 띠며 아래로 굽는다. 밀선의 형태는 거(spur)의 형태와 관련이 있다. 거(spur)가 주머니처럼 부푸는 절에서 밀선분비조직의 뚜렷한 발달이 관찰되고 거(spur) 안에 분비된 화밀을 저장한다. 비록 현호색절과 산괴불주머니절이 서로 밀접한 계통을 갖지는 않지만 이들이 공유하는 밀선의 형태는 거(spur) 형태의 유사성에서 기인한 것으로 보인다. 한국산 현호색속 밀선의 형질진화 분석을 위하여 mesquite을 이용하여 ancestral reconstruction를 수행하였다. 밀선의 형질진화는 한국산 현호색속 5절의 계통진화를 반영하였다. 현호색속의 화부형질은 매우 복잡하고 다양한 방향으로 진화한 것으로 보이며 이를 이해하기 위해서는 다양한 화부형질의 종합적인 검토가 필요하다. 이번 연구에서 확인된 화부구조와 분비조직의 형질은 현호색속의 계통진화를 잘 반영하고 있었으며 향후 분비조직의 해부형질, 미세형질 등의 추가연구를 통하여 현호색속의 계통연구를 위한 새로운 분류학적 가치를 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

The Impact of Day-care Center Organizational Characteristics on Teacher Efficacy (어린이집 조직특성이 교사효능감에 미치는 영향 - 교사경력 5년을 기준으로 -)

  • This study examined the effects of day-care center organizational characteristics on teacher efficacy. The participants of this study were 319 day-care center teachers who work in the Seoul-Gyeonggi area. The results of this study are as follows: First, day-care center teacher efficacy shows the difference depending on the teachers' career. Second, teachers' efficacy was influenced by day-care center organizational characteristics. In particular, it appeared that 'challenge' and 'distinction of role' affect teacher efficacy when the career of the teacher is less than 5 years. And it appeared that 'challenge', 'distinction of role' and 'retraining' affect teacher efficacy when the career of the teacher is more than 5 years. We discussed organizational characteristics for improving teacher efficacy and suggested the implication for retraining teachers and supervision to promote teacher efficacy based on the results.

A Study on Moderating Effects of Organizational Justice in the Relationship between Organizational Performance and Job Characteristics of Researchers in Government-Supported Research Institutes (직무특성과 조직성과의 관계에서 조직공정성의 조절효과 검증 : 정부출연연구소 연구인력을 대상으로)

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze the moderating effects of organizational justice, on the relationship between job characteristics and organizational performance of researchers in government-supported research institutes. For this purpose, a regression analysis was conducted based on a survey on 459 researchers in government-supported research institutes. As a result, first, autonomy, importance, identity, and feedback, excluding diversity, have positive effects on job satisfaction. Second, autonomy, identity, and feedback among job characteristics have positive effects on organizational commitment. Finally, as a result of verifying the moderating effects of organizational fairness on the relationship between job characteristics and organizational performance, it turned out that autonomy and diversity among job characteristics showed statistically significant effect on job satisfaction, and autonomy, importance, and feedback on organizational commitment.

  • The extracellular matrix, which provides the structural and biochemical support of surrounding cells, is a cell physiological modulator that controls cell division and differentiation. In the bio sector, the company produces Scapold, a three-dimensional support for tissue engineering, and cultivates stem cells in the produced Scapold to be transplanted into animals to assess tissue regeneration. This depends on components such as collagen in the tissue. Therefore, it is very important to identify the inclusion rate and distribution of components in the tissue, and the data are obtained by analyzing the color of the dyed tissue image. The process from image collection to analysis is costly, and the data collected and analyzed are managed in different formats by different research institutions. Therefore, data integration management and analysis results search are not being performed. In this paper, we establish a database that can manage relevant bigdata in an integrated manner, and propose a bio-image integrated management and retrieval system that can be searched based on color, an important analytical measure in this field of study.
