The influential Factors of excessive daytime sleepiness for public Service Workers at Subway Stations (지하철 역무직 근로자의 주간수면과다증 영향 요인)

  • This study was conducted in an attempt to determine the factors that cause excessive daytime sleepiness among 927 subway station employees located in Seoul. Data were collected with a structured questionnaire through the web site and were analyzed using SPSS 20.0 statistical software. Results showed that marital status made a statistically significant difference in general characteristics, and hobby/leisure activities made a statistically significant difference in health-related characteristics. Workplace and satisfaction with the organization made a significant difference in job-related characteristics, and physical environment, job demand, job autonomy, relationship conflicts, organizational system, inappropriate compensation, and organizational culture made a statistically significant difference in job stress factors. Factors that affect excessive daytime sleepiness were hobby and leisure activities, satisfaction with the organization, physical environment, job demand, job autonomy, organizational system and organizational culture, showing a 20.5% explanatory power. This study proposes the operation of programs that can improve the physical environment, change the organizational system and increase satisfaction with the organizational culture among station employees in order that they can enjoy their hobby/leisure life and relieve job stress so that they can avoid excessive daytime sleepiness.

Analysis of Convergent Influence of Self Efficacy, Job Characteristics and Occupational Stress on Job Satisfaction among Hospital Administrative Staff (병원행정직의 자기효능감, 직무특성 및 직무스트레스가 직무만족도에 미치는 융복합적 영향 분석)

  • We study convergent influence on Job Satisfaction(JS) and its association with Self Efficacy(SE), Job Characteristics(JC) and Occupational Stress(OS) among Hospital Administrative Staff(HAS). The survey was administered to 221 staff from 11 general hospitals located in Jeonbuk area from Nov. 1st, 2016 to Jan. 31st, 2017. The structured self-administered questionaries were used. JS was positively correlated with SE and three sub-domains of JC, and it was negatively correlated with seven sub-domains of OS. With the analysis of covariance structure, OS was more influential on JS than SE and JC. The study found the higher SE and JC, and the lower OC tend to increase JS. The results indicate that the efforts, to increase SE and JC, and to decrease OS, are required to increase the JS of HAS. The results are expected to be useful for organization personnel management to increase the JS of HAS. In the following study, the analysis about convergent additional factors of influence on JS will be needed.

Policy Implications for the Smart Work Diffusion: Focusing on the Perceptual Differences on Organizational Effectiveness between Smart Workers and Office Workers (스마트워크 확산을 위한 정책적 함의: 스마트워크 근로자와 직장근무 근로자의 조직유효성 인식 차이를 중심으로)

  • Smart work, which is a new way of working at out-of-home instead of an office, has become a widespread practice because it is considered as beneficial for both organization and employee. This study is conducted to investigate the differences about attitude toward the organizational effectiveness between smart worker and office worker in a call center. The result showed that the perceived advantages of smart worker(higher service climate, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, service capability) are more positive than those of office workers. Based on this result, the implications and policy directions of smart work were discussed.

  • Until now, many leadership styles have focused only on behavioral characteristics or skills. However, genuine leadership focuses on the essence of leadership. This study intends to analyze the effects of genuine leadership, the main body leading the corporate organization, on the organization's influence in order to achieve the organizational mission. In order to examine the relationship between genuine leadership, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment after deriving a research model as a method of research, we conducted a regression analysis after frequency analysis, validity, and reliability analysis to examine the effect of genuine leadership on organizational commitment and job satisfaction. looked at the As a result of the analysis, it was found that leadership had a positive effect on organizational commitment and job satisfaction.

From these companies in exchange for monetary compensation, such as wages and honors, including non-monetary benefits, and receive a reward. Interaction with each other in these companies are members of the organization to always think about the fairness issue. In this study, the performance of the company fairness affect whether any will be discussed. Organizational justice research on job satisfaction, organizational commitment influence.   • The purpose of this study is to analyze the mediation effect of organizational trust and intrinsic motivation in the relationship between emotional leadership and creativity, suggesting the importance of organizational creativity. Therefore, this study conducted a survey for employees who are working at Korean ICT firms, analyzed the relationship with 241 valid samples, and verified hypotheses using PLS-SEM. The results are as follows. First, emotional leadership had a positive effect on organizational trust. Second, organizational trust had a positive effect on the intrinsic motivation of employees. Third, intrinsic motivation had a positive impact on employees' creativity. Fourth, the organizational trust did not have a positive effect on the creativity of employees. By verifying the mediation effects of organizational trust and intrinsic motivation, this study analyzed the relationship between emotional leadership and creativity, expanding the existing studies of the leadership.

  • This study is to identify the factors that influence an intention to information security policy compliance of employees. To do this, this study is based on three theoretical backgrounds because of the lack of holistic perspective. Research results show that detection certainty and individual attachment have a positive effect on information security policy compliance intention. Detection certainty is influenced by security awareness education and training. Finally, response cost has a negative effect on information security policy compliance intention.

  • The environment of modern corporate management is undergoing many changes due to the horizontal organizational structure and the spread of team system. The importance of collective leadership that all members can pursue together beyond the existing personal leadership is increasing day by day. This study was conducted to analyze the effects of shared leadership on psychological empowerment, organizational justice and organizational commitment using PLS, a structural equation tool. The analysis highlighted the following. First, shared leadership exerted positive effects on psychological empowerment and organizational justice. Second, psychological empowerment exerted positive effects on organizational justice and organizational commitment and lastly, organizational justice exerted positive effects on organizational commitment. The causality between shared leadership, psychological empowerment, organizational justice and organizational commitment. This study demonstrated the important relationship between shared leadership and psychological empowerment and organizational justice, which will serve as a guideline for further organizational commitment.

  • This paper aims to regard paternalistic leadership as research object, introduces organizational identification as intermediary variable to find out the impact on organizational commitment, using a sample of 406 employees from enterprises. Results showed that first, authoritarianism had no impact on organizational commitment, while benevolence and morality related positively to organizational commitment. Second, paternalistic leadership had positive effect on organizational identification. Third, organizational identification mediated the relationship between morality and organizational commitment, but did not mediate the relationship between benevolence and organizational commitment. Limitations of the study, and implications of the findings are discussed.

A Meta analysis of variables related to Burnout of nurse in korea (국내 간호사의 소진과 관련된 변인의 메타분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the effect size of protective variables and risk variables based on the previous study which is related to nurse burnout. Master's doctoral and journal degrees from 2005 to 2014, a total of 116 articles side by conducting a meta-analysis suggests a convergence conclusions. The biggest effect size of a nurse burnout protection variable was job variable and the largest effect sized of sub-variable was empathy satisfaction. The biggest effect size of the nurse burnout risk variables was organization variables, the largest effect size of sub variables was the violent reaction. Based on the results of this research, a variety of programs and policy measures for appropriate interventions and arbitration of nurse burnout should be built to decrease the risk variable which can cause nurse burnout and reinforce the protection variable that restrains a nurse burnout.
