  • The purpose of this study was to understand and define the health-promotion behavior of adolescents in Korea. This study collected data from twelve high school students using group and individual in-depth interviews. Data were analyzed qualitative study with grounded theory method by Strauss and Corbin(1998). As for the study result, the core phenomenon was the Lifestyle without health promotion and the mediation conditions for controlling were Parents' Care for Health, Friends with Health Behavior, and lack of exercise environment, and the action/interection strategy to correspond to this situation was Strengthening the will to practice health promotion, Imitate a friend with a nice body, Learning parental health behavior. This study will serve as basic data in developing health promotion programs for the practice health promoting behaviors of high school students.

  • The purpose of this study is to perform spatial restructuring by user participation design as one of the school space innovation projects. The contents of this study were conducted through the process of deriving and applying various requirements and specific ideas while communicating through the user participation process targeting Y Elementary School in Busan. As a result of the study, the space design was pursued in various ways, away from the uniform educational space of grades 1-6. This study focuses on the development of various space designs that reflect the characteristics of each grade level, and it is characterized by a built-in cabinet for each person to secure a personal space. For a space created by innovation, It can be seen that for a space created by innovation, it is essential to design based on the user participation of various people who use the space.

  • In order to understand the whole picture of virtue epistemology with knowledge-action theory, I will first examine contours between concepts like capacity, character and intellectual virtues in relation to the notion of virtue. At first, my $na{\ddot{i}}ve$ question is why smart people do such bad things without any shame. This question would be either ethical or epistemological because epistemology is viewed as a normative discipline and intellectual agents and communities should be considered as the primary focus of epistemic evaluation. This is the core idea of virtue epistemology. The stance virtue epistemology views virtues as a solution to the justification of knowledge is similar to the knowledge-action theory in the East Asian intellectual tradition. But, their core issues are different from each other. Thus, I will explain how to differ from one another and analyze such concepts as capacity, character, and intellectual virtues in the Analects. I will insist that capacity and character without normative disciplines cannot be intellectual virtues leading to right actions.

  • In recent years, research and development on image object recognition using artificial intelligence have been actively carried out, and it is expected to be used for road maintenance. Among them, artificial intelligence models for object detection of road surface are continuously introduced. In order to develop such object recognition algorithms, a backbone network that extracts feature maps is essential. In this paper, we will discuss how to select the appropriate neural network. To accomplish it, we compared with 4 different deep neural networks using 6,000 road surface damage images. Based on three evaluation methods for analyzing characteristics of neural networks, we propose a method to determine optimal neural networks. In addition, we improved the performance through optimal tuning of hyper-parameters, and finally developed a light backbone network that can achieve 85.9% accuracy of road surface damage classification.

  • In this study, we designed a blending algorithm for rate adaptive pacing for cardiac pacemaker. Generally, rate adaptive pacing (RAP) is applied to patients whose heart rate does not rise during exercise for chronotropic incompetence (CI) patient. It is very important to develop an algorithm for RAP that can be properly applied to CI patients. In order to design an RAP algorithm we used dual sensors. Firstly, we designed a bio-signal measurement system based on the dual sensors, which are accelerometer and respiratory system. Secondly, we conducted treadmill test for the simulation experiment while using 3-lead ECG as reference. Finally, we designed a blending algorithm based on activation state of the dual sensors. The proposed blending algorithm was subdivided into three sections based on the accelerometer signal, which are rapidly increased section (W1), hardly changed section (W2), and decreased section (W3). Each weight is set aside for each section. To evaluate this algorithm, ten healthy adult males were participated. The correlation and Root Mean Square Error between the proposed algorithm and the reference were compared, and shown to be r=0.88 and 2.82 bpm, respectively. These results show that the proposed blending algorithm of dual sensors enables proper tracking of the heart rate during exercise. Also, it shows the possibility that the proposed blending algorithm can be applied to improve quality of life of the chronotropic incompetence patient.

  • Due to environment problems in end of Life Vehicle in the country, the interest in remanufacturing is heightened than ever. In this study, it is important to quantitatively evaluate the economic effect of the introduction of the automotive remanufacturing business and analyzed cost-benefit for the three species of bumpers, doors, fenders, which is relatively lower remanufactured automotive component. The results showed that cost-beneift of each parts were analyzed 54,000 per one part, and if remanufacturing were 50%, benefits were to occur with a profit of 226,060 won. Thus, remanufacturing of bumpers, doors, fender resulted a significant benefit, and then it is possible that remanufacturing company have enough economic value for remanufacturing.

  • The number of construction accident deaths in Korea is increasing and most causes of construction accidents are human factors. Voluntary participation of construction workers in safety activities is likely to improve these human factors and increase the prevention effect of construction accidents. Therefore, there is a need to study the motivation of workers to meet the voluntary participation of construction workers. In this respect, the purpose of this study is to compare the importance of construction field engineers and construction managers about the safety motivation factors of construction workers. This study analyzed the results of the questionnaire survey about safety motivation factors and conducted a T-test for these factors. The results of this study can be used as managing method to effective on-site safety management by minimizing the difference between the two groups according to motivation factors of construction workers.

  • This paper deals with the rise of Islamic scheme of security in Indonesia's longstanding traditions of vigilantism since the fall of Suharto's New Order regime. For that purpose, in comparison with other modes of the securitization process on morality issues that functioned by the end of New Order, I discuss the background that enables Islamic security to launch off, and the process of institutionalization and the practices of Islamic security agenda. I then argue how that scheme relates to power and moral legitimacy, and how it shapes the way of perceiving self and society. Through this ethnographic analysis of the rhetorical and institutional changes to the scheme of security in Indonesia, this paper demonstrates how the social stress in the reform era, which is mediated by the ideas of globalization and Islam, is put into the securitization process, and how Indonesian society imagines its future through the Islamic vehicle of security.

  • This study quantitatively analyzes the impact of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction policies on the global economy. To this end, we develop a multi-national and multi-industry static computational general equilibrium model that includes three components-GHG emissions from production, disutility due to GHG emissions, and governments' GHG emissions reduction policies. Then we calibrate the model with the relevant data and solve for the equlibrium using the most recent methodology (exact hat algebra). We find that the strengthening of unilateral GHG emissions reduction policies for each country reduces carbon emissions from domestic producers, but does not necessarily reduce global carbon emissions as production is relocated to other countries. On the other hand, we can reduce GHG emissions when all major countries simultaneously implement the strengthened reduction policies proposed by the OECD (2016). Our results imply that aligned reduction efforts of major countries are necessary to reduce global GHG emissions.

  • Aircraft engine parts repair is a field belonging to the lowest level in the hierarchy of the aircraft industry, and it is marginalized in terms of research, compared to aircraft manufacturing or maintenance that belong to the upper level. On the other hand, in 2019, Korean Air's Powerplant Maintenance Center paid USD $130 million to foreign countries for engine parts repair, making it an industry with great need for localization. To achieve the goal of localizing engine parts repair, a certification system is needed that can perform independent repairs based on the development of repair technology, aligning contractual relationships with engine manufacturers, and free from dependence on engine manufacturers or foreign repair companies. The purpose of this study is to provide a basis for subsequent research to secure an actual certification system by suggesting the need for securing such a certification system.
