  • Objective: The purpose of this research was to examine the moderating effects of relationships on the association between temperament and peer play interaction. Methods: The participants were 606 four year olds who were recruited from day care centers and preschools located in Incheon and Gyeonggi province. Teacher-child relationship was measured with Student-Teacher Relationship Scale. Peer interactions were measured with Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale. Temperament was measured with Child Behavior Questionnaire (CBQ). The data was analysed using Pearson correlation and hierarchial regression. Results: Teacher-child intimacy moderated the associations between inhibitory control and play disruption as well as between emotionality and play disconnection. Moreover, Teacher-child conflict moderated the association between emotionality and play disconnection. Conclusion/Implications: The findings suggest that teacher-child relationships buffer risks conferred by temperament.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of group music therapy program on alineation of adolescents from enmeshed or disengaged families. The Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scales III was administered to screen out subjects at a high school in Seoul. Based on the low scores, between 10 and 25, rated on the scale, 4 students were selected from 148 initial respondents. Subjects participated in group music therapy program for 7 weeks and a total of 14 music therapy sessions were provided for them. After the program, content analysis of the subjects' verbal and musical expressions observed during the program was conducted, with regard to the measures of the Student Alienation Scale. The results showed negative self-expression decreased while positive self-concepts increased. These results indicate that by providing the opportunity to experience group cohesiveness and group support, group music therapy program may effectively reduce alienation of adolescents from enmeshed or disengaged families.

Mothers were more warm acceptant and rejective restrictive than fathers; fathers were more permissive neglectful than mothers. Both fathers and mothers were more rejective restrictive of girls than of boys. Mothers with high scores in emotional separation from family of origin were more warm acceptant to their children and less rejective restrictive than those with low scores. A total of 209 4- and 5-year-old children attending a child care center in South Korea participated in this study. The instruments used in this study were the Playfulness Scale, Emotion Regulation Checklist, and Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale. The collected data were analyzed using a Student's t-test, Pearson's partial correlation, and stepwise regressions with the SPSS software ver. 16.0. The main results of this study are as follows: First, there was a significant age difference in young children's emotional control, emotional instability, playfulness and peer play behavior. Second, the factors of emotional control and playfulness significantly predicted young children's play interaction irrespective of age. Third, the factors of emotional instability and playfulness significantly predicted young children's play disruption and play disconnection. Further, implications for the use of early intervention targeting specific emotional control and emotional instability problems have been discussed.

  • This study aims to examine the effects of consumption values on digital convergence products buying behavior. Especially, this study examines the nature of consumption values that differentiate incremental innovation products from radical innovation product. We first categorize the convergence products into incremental innovation products and radical innovation products based on the degree of innovation, and then study the differences of consumption values of each product group. The empirical research is conducted on the premise that the consumer's value can play an important role in the process of selecting convergence product types. Although some factors related to function value has been accounted much of, various consumer values have not been studied in the context of convergence product consumption behavior. This research assumes that consumer choice behavior is a function of multiple consumption values such as functional value, social value, emotional value, and epistemic value. The result shows that consumption values of digital convergence products are made up of 4 consumption values-emotional, epistemic, social and functional values. Also, these consumption values affect the purchase intention of consumers. Purchase intention of radical innovation convergence products is affected by emotional value, epistemic value, and functional values. Purchase intention of incremental innovation convergence products is affected only by functional value. Demographic variables such as sex, age and income don't have influence on purchase intention. Our findings suggest that choice behavior of digital convergence product is influenced by several consumption values. Managerially, our result emphasize that convergence products must satisfy the consumption values that consumers are seeking in order to be successful in the market. the theoretical and practical implications of these findings are discussed as well.

  • The purpose of this study was intended to analyze the effect of the level of self-differentiation in the financial companies on customer orientation, and to find out the mediating effect of job stress between self-differentiation and customer orientation. In addition, this study was intended to suggest implications that can be used for customer management and marketing activities of financial companies. The results of this study are as follows: First, a low level of fusion with others was found to have a negative(-) effect on customer orientation. second, a level of emotional-cutoff did not affect customer orientation. third, a low level of emotional-reactivity had a positive(+) effect on customer orientation. fourthly, a high level of 'I'-positon has a positive(+) effect on customer orientation. Fifthly, job stress was found to partially mediate between customer orientation and fusion with others, emotional-reactivity, 'I'-positon. This study has academic significance in that it identified patterns of customer orientation according to the level of self-differentiation of employees in the financial companies. As for practical implications, in order to improve customer orientation in employees in the financial companies, first, job stress of organizational members must be reduced. second, members with a low level of emotional-reactivity and a high level of 'I'-positon should be assigned to sales positions, and third, there is a need to assign a lot of authority and responsibility to employees in middle and lower positions.

  • This research explored cognitive emotion regulation strategy, behavioral emotion regulation strategy, and experiential emotion regulation strategy, each moderating effect in the relationship between maladjustment schema and marital satisfaction. The data was analyzed through hierarchical multiple regression analysis. The results of the study are as follows: the regression analysis showed the moderating effects for adaptive emotion regulation strategy on the relationship between the maladjustment schema and marital satisfaction. The result showed the selection of 'Disconnection and Rejection', 'Impaired autonomy and Performance', 'Other-Directedness', 'Overvigilance and Inhibition' as maladjustment schema variables affecting marital satisfaction via cognitive emotion regulation strategy, that of 'Disconnection and Rejection', 'Impaired autonomy and Performance', 'Other-Directedness' as maladjustment schema variables affecting marital satisfaction via behavioral emotion regulation strategy, and that of 'Impaired limits', 'Impaired autonomy and Performance', 'Other-Directedness', 'Overvigilance and Inhibition' as maladjustment schema variables affecting marital satisfaction via experiential regulation strategy. Finally, the clinical implication and limitation of this study and suggestion for future studies were also discussed.
